Auto decline lotto feature
 

Hey,

Thanks for a lovely UI. I'd like to add a small request if possible. Fetish has a "Auto decline lotto" (auto close loot window popup with decline) feature which is really nice. I don't like mixing UI's since it makes a big mess, so adding this little feature in ProfitUI would be very nice :)

Don't know about the fetish one, but Thor has a ESC to decline, ENTER to accept window that's really nice for quickly getting past loot windows. Would love to see that in Profit, so I'd have one less file to have to ignore in the updater :)

The problem with that, is for those people on raids, or just non-trade items in general, a lot of times people will ask group/raid if anyone needs them. Pressing enter would then put you in the lotto, thus reducing the chance of someone getting their item.

Escape is a fine addition, and I would like that.. But I do think the enter key should remain free.

Well with the feature I mentioned you don't have to push anything when the check box is enabled under the persona window that says "Auto decline lotto". It's ideal for dual boxers or when you mentor someone and don't want to hit ESC or ENTER, or click with your mouse. The loot window will just not appear.

Auto Decline Lotto should be an official option along side with coin split and so on ..

For me it is annoying especially in mentor groups where im just giving away all the loot to the n00bs :)

It's kinda easily solved in box scenarioes because free for all kinda takes care of it there ..

This is now part of v4.5. I did look at the Fetish solution but did not like it - all it does is hide your loot window. The ProfitUI 4.5 solution only applies if loot mode is set to lotto, and in that case it actually declines the loot so others do not have to wait for lotto timeout. Credits must of course still go to Zonx for the idea.

You can toggle a checkbox in the control center and even predefine the setting in a config file (see release notes). I did not put the checkbox on the loot window on purpose lest someone checks it there by mistake and wonders why he never gets loot.

This is great! While I don't use ProfitUI, I do have a few pieces that I can't live without. As a dual-boxer, this is a much needed addition. Thank you.

Since I don't have the full UI installed, I did a quick hack to make it standalone and added an 'auto-accept' feature. ** Auto accepting loot can be a dangerous idea, especially in groups. Use at your own risk. If you get kicked from your guild for ninja-looting, it's your own fault. **

Not pretty as yours, but someone else might find it useful. Feel free to make it an official standalone release, or not at your whim.

NOTE: If you already have ProfitUI installed, you do not need this at all.

1. If you already have an eq2ui_custom.xml DO NOT OVERWRITE it, just add the line:

<include>_ProfitUI_ControlCenter.xml</include>

2. Extract the other two files to your mods directory

3. make an in game macro:
show_window Custom.ProfitUI_ControlCenter

( The settings will not persist. If you want the ability to configure the settings, download the full ProfitUI Reborn 4.5)

But ... but ... I am a loot whore ...


I doubt there will be much call for it, but it'll save me some time while dualboxing. I typically accept with my warden until she's full and then switch to my monk. This will automate that process a little.

Auto-decline will be SUPERB as well since I 2box regularly and usually decline loot on the 2nd box. I'm addicted to the "enter to loot" feature. I admit it. =/ While someone expressed the concern of accidentally looting, you DO have to accept no-trade unless you have that turned off (which, if you do, its your fault for not putting that safeguard in). I would REALLY like this added to Profit, as its something I make a point to install whenever i need to reinstall Profit.

Would this auto accept loot file work for quest rewards that you have to click accept on as well? If not does anyone have a file that has this functionality that they could make available? Thanks in advance.
