updator and forum are extremely slow

today when I update eq2map, it's extremely slow, and the forum too!! is that your server problem ? or it's about my ISP ? thanks!

The forums (and anything else tied to this site) were really slow for me yesterday, too.

I seem to remember seeing posts here and there hinting at Dolby upgrading the servers in the near future/recent past. Perhaps that had something to do with the slowness.

Has nothing to do with the server move that hasn't happened yet and prolly not for a little while longer. Site was speedy for me so it was probably peering issues with your city/isp and the data centers isp.

Yep, site was speedy for me on the east coast.

There was some trouble with a major ISP in Europe yesterday. I'm not sure if the OP's ISP routes through the affected networks but that's the likely answer.

Let's hope that was the answer. I use Time Warner's RoadRunner as my ISP and am on the east coast. Perhaps the ISP issue from Europe was stalling updates and multipe update sessions were hanging things up.

Hopefully this means things will update tonight when I try them :)

I can vouch for it being slow on the east coast, using comcast. I bet there was just a node somewhere that was causing the problem.

Just outta curiosity, where in the state are ya, Dolby? It was sluggish yesterday afternoon here in Madtown.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Time warner cable.

I was moderating some POI's so was on the site for awhile.
