Problem with installation

I've used profit a lot before but after quitting a few months back and returning I am unable to get it to install correctly. I've tried a few times making clean installations and when I load the game up, it just disregards the profit ui and loads the default one. When I /loadui or /load_uisettings it doesn't show that profit is on the list and it doesn't show any of the resolution presets. I'm wondering if i should just uninstall and repatch eq2 and start it over.

Both of you seem to have installed in the wrong folder. It must be extracted in your Everquest II\ folder of the EQ2 installation you are using to play (right click the eq2 icon on your desktop and select properties to check the folder name). You can also use the auto-updating version if you have trouble installation it, that one will set it up for you.

I've seen similar problems reported by several people. A common source is that the files get unzipped to the wrong place. ProfitUI should be installed into this folder: EverQuest II -> UI -> ProfitUI. What actually happens is it gets installed into: EverQuest II -> UI -> ProfitUI -> UI -> ProfitUI. Just move the entire lowest level ProfitUI folder up into the higher level UI folder. Delete the now-empty lower level folders, and everything should work ok.

All of the resolution files and the eq2.ini file gets put into your main EQ2 program folder , BTW. I made the mistake of putting them inside the UI folder the first time I tried since that's the way the folders are set up on download.

So it should look like:

Sony/Everquest II/ [resolution files and eq2.ini]

Sony/Everquest II/UI/ [ProfitUI folder]

Hope that helped. :)

That's all correct, but before people start moving stuff around: just keep the directory structure that's in the .zip you downloaded, it's all set up like needs to be already.
