Map is only white
 

Hi,

first sorry for my english, i hope i can explain my problem understandable. and i hope this is the right forum for it :)

yesterday i installed the fetish nightfall ui. i think i installed it like explained (first nightfall, then netframe 1.1, then maps updater). i had the eq2 maps manual version installed a few days before and it runs.
so when i logged in, everything runs without problems (as far as i could see), but my map was only white. the features from eq2 map was there, the positions of npc's for example, but the background was only white.
can someone tell me if i made a mistake in the installation or something?
or what can i do to fix that? :confused:

Look in your Everquest II\UI folder. You should see folders called Default, fonts, and FetishNightfall. If you see a folder called EQ2MAP you can delete it. Reinstall the autoupdating eq2map. In the eq2map Options window the UI Directory dropdown should say FetishNightfall.

The newest EQ2MAP appears to require .NET 2.0 or greater.

Perhaps that is the issue

Just installed Fetish for the first time since I came back to the game about 6 months ago and am having the same issue. Working on getting a few other customizations done but Ill try the advice here and let you know how it works out.

Well I had to reinstall and run eqmaps update again and it redownloaded and fixed everything, still have eq2maps folder in UI folder so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

When you installed Fetish the first time, did you install it and *then* run the autoupdater, or the other way around?

Sounds like the updater was only updating the normal eq2map folder instead of the one contained within Fetish. FN's download has a relatively recent copy of hte POIs, but since the images are so large (~30MB) they're not included, which is probably why you were seeing a white map.

Sorry for the miscommunication, my issue is fixed. I had tried a few mods and done them wrong so started from scratch and did the whole process over and it worked like a charm.
