How to update..I don't get it...
I have the 'auto update' version of ProfitUI Reborn (at least I think I do...I meant to...really!)
I notice there have been updates to the program since I purchased it, but they haven't 'automatically' been applied to my installation. Please let me know what I need to be doing when updates are posted. And yes, I've read the FAQ, but this little bit of hand-holding isn't covered... Mark |
Ok, let me first say that I have never used ProfitUI, nor the auto-updating version so I may be way off. But I would check in the folder, most likely located @ C:\Program Files\Sony\EQ2\UI\ProfitUI , and look for an auto-updater icon and give it a good double-click if it's there.
That is usually how "auto-updating" UIs work, they don't actually update totally automatically, rather you usually have to initiate the updating. |
If you have the Auto-updating version, you would have an Icon on your desktop to click.
I'm guessing that you don't, so just head here http://www.eq2interface.com/download...rnUpdater.html and download the updater. Once installed, you will have a "ProfitUI Reborn Updater" Icon on your desktop and Start Menu. If you run this program every so often, it will download the updates and install them for you. There is also an option for the updater to start EQ2 when it has finished updating. If you get stuck anymore, the Author has written a really good FAQ that should help. There is a section for the Auto-updater http://gm9.eq2interface.com/portal.php?id=15&a=faq Hope this helps |
BTW, what did you mean when you said you "purchased" it?

Mis-spoke regarding 'purchase'..meant contributed to site...

I downloaded and ran the updater from your link, above. Now, when I execute the icon I get the message:
Cannot connect! Please check your network settings or try again later. Do you want to change proxy settings? I obviously still have internet access, for I'm typing this on the thread...am on a home network..but should that matter? I'll try again later, as it says....... any ideas? Mark |
Do you have a firewall up and running? I suspect that may be the culprit.

Also try...

Also, when you go into the updater (the window is open) be sure to edit it and point it to your EQ2 directory, if it isn't already. That might be an issue to...cya! |
