Crashing after trying to load/create zone.
Below is the same e-mail I sent to the SoE EQ2 Technical help. I thought I would go ahead and post it here since someone else may have had my problem before, thus being able to help me a little better.
Also before posting this I looked over this help thread for about 1-2 hours and saw nothing that was even nearly related to my issue. So I thought it easier to just make this post. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- When trying to zone into the world, I am crashing to desktop and getting this error. <verify> E:\live\eq2\game\client\GameScene.cpp (4103): Failed to create zone. Suggestion: Please do a full scan from the patcher. I have got my latest drivers and updates for my video card/sound card/windows vista updates and service packs. Even with all of this, when I try and log in one of my characters, I am crashing to the desktop and an error is popping up that says - <verify> E:\live\eq2\game\client\GameScene.cpp (4103): Failed to create zone. Suggestion: Please do a full scan from the patcher. I did this scan and it was 100% complete. I have all the files 100% updated and downloaded. If there is anything that could be suggested in order to help me with this problem, so that I can login and enjoy the game, please inform me. The help will be much appreciated. :) |
Does it happen when you use the default UI?

its a long read, but you might find something useful in there. friend of mine just started playing... she was crashing to desktop every time she zoned and had severe lag. her problem was her anti-virus software (Norton). which she promptly uninstalled. :) and i believe you need to be administrator on the account your using. anyway. good luck |
I have the same problem is there any fix yet ?

If you're using an ATI card w/ the newest drivers, try downgrading to ones a few revisions ago -- I've heard of folks who are crashing out right away with the latest drivers, but once they went back far enough (ie old enough drivers) they could play again.
