Wirt logging

im wondering if there is a program or something that logs how many wits someone did in the guild im in. the guild im in has contests and some times its hard to keep track of how many writs someone does.

There's two ways to do this (in theory).

The first involves having someone with logging always on and always in-game (to parse their logs for the guild writ spam). That of course requires someone to always be logged in or miss some, and is obviously not too useful.

The second approach (which in my mind is much better) would be to try and dump the contents of the guild events block to logs and then parse it that way and just have someone dump it every few days (and then clear out all the old events).

No program can read the contents of the window directly without technically violating the EULA (unless perhaps it uses OCR or something). Thats why all the combat parsers and such rely on logging.

I am also very interested in logging the writs for my guild. What do you mean by dumping the guild events block to log? How do I accomplish this? Thanks!

Quite a rez you did there. By dumping it to log I meant you'd basically '/say' the events (to a channel in all likelyhood). You'd have to mod the UI to do it (and I haven't checked to see that you even can, since it's a templated window), it's nothing that already exists in-game to my knowledge.
