Lost POI's
Ive been using eq2maps amnual for years now but when I downloaded the versoin for ROK updates I now show the maps but I have no poi's showing on any of the maps. I tried switching lines in .ini file and made sure the .xml and dds and tga files were in the right place. I run xp sp2 , Any sudjestions that I can work on to remedy this would be most appreciated.
Thank you |
Are you using any other mods?
Please post the contents of your eq2.ini file, and if you're using any other mods, what the autoupdater says next to "UIDirectory:" |
No I dont have any other mods running. But I thank you for replying so fast. While I was waiting I deleted all the files that went with the manual version. And I noticed that there was a new auto update. It never worked for me before thats why I went with the manual version. But I thought Id try the new auto update. And it worked flawlessly. So I am up and running well . You guys rock so much. Thank you Lordebon for getting back to me so quick . Thats why I lkie it here so much .:D
Now that autoupdate works Im fixed and feeling better Thx again Lordebon :nana: |
I'm seeing something like this, but only in one zone, Thieves' Way in Freeport. When I zone in I get no POIs at all, not even the zone-point markers. Just the map background and self and group-member icons. I've noticed, oddly, that if I camp completely back to the desktop and come back in without running the auto-updater, the POIs will at some point reappear. Once they're back they stay back until the next time I run the updater, at which point they go away again. All other zones seem to have all their POIs, it's just Thieves' Way.
I've got a fairly heavily modified UI, though. ProfitUI, EQ2Map, POIFinder and the map fog removal plug-in. I'm going to try deleting all the EQ2Map files and let the auto-updater completely re-download everything, then see if the POIs are still missing. Then I'll reinstall clean copies of POIFinder and the fog removal plug-in and see if those trigger a problem. |

The Thieves' Way map problem is due to a bug in core_process.xml.
Im not sure if its relesed yet, but else here is a fixed versin you can try. |
