making a new theme for Fetish Nightfall Goth =)
 

I've been working on a new theme based off the Goth theme. I loved the bars in WoW (the Litestep Lite) and wanted to integrate them into EQ2. I'm having some troubles with the buttons tho.
Here's what the .dds file looks like.



Here's how the buttons look in game. The "Share" button is mouseovered. The colors are the same as the .dds, but the look is different.



Is there something I need to change to get the buttons to have the glossy look of the title bar and tabs? Also, when I try to give a glossy look to the little day/night rotatey thingy on the clock, it doesn't seem to like that either. What could I do to fix it? Thanks for all your help! I'm anxious to post it up for others to use :)

The way buttons are built/put together in EQ2 is the issue not your image.

Most buttons are made out of 9 slices of one image.

these slices are just small pieces of the image. where N, S, E and W slices are small pieces of the image that are repeatedly repainted to fill the buttons size.

This looks beautiful so far, I really hope to see what it looks like when you get it all sorted :) Definetlly looks like something I might use ^_^

You'll likely need to adjust the style deffs for Fetish.ButtonStyles.text_button. Specficly the image coords for each of the button states found under Fetish.ButtonStyles.TextButton. Each of the slices are currently using a rectangle too small to enclose the added detail found in your art.

The way I have it setup allows for a wide variety of button sizes. You may find very small buttons just wont work well with the extra detail.
