Looking for an auto attack mod.

I'm trying to learn to how time my CAs between my auto attack swings so I can get the best out of my damage. I heard that there was a mod available that made a warning sound as the swing timer went off, but I haven't been able to find it or even have an idea as to what it might be called.

Does anyone know of this mod, or a similar one, that could help me? Thanks!

Here you go: ACT

Someone wrote a mod (seen it elsewhere, not here) for profitui where they replaced the status total on the bar and did a count down based on weapon delay every time auto attack went off (different timers for melee vs ranged). I wish I would have grabbed it when I seen it, but of course I thought "I will remember the site and come back and get it later".
I could kick myself now. I would love to get that mod to see if it still works.
I would rather see the timer over having ACT play a sound.

That mod couldn't work correctly, the UI does not have any way of knowing when auto-attack is fired. The only thing it knows about attacking is when you start and stop.

Not at all.
For a ranger to do their best DPS, they have to fit their CAs between their auto attacks, being careful not to delay the auto attack from occurring.
Currently, you can "eyeball" it based on animation/chatbox info and gut feeling. Some folks put audio timers into ACT for the auto attack damage so they constantly hear a 'ding' sound every time auto attack hits, giving them a slight edge so they know when an auto attack just hit.

To give an example on why it is important. As a non-raiding ranger, I averaged about 500 dps just from auto attack. Since my bow was around a 4 second delay, that means my average auto attack damage was 2000. My DPS would fall by a decent amount if I delayed each auto attack by just 1 second.

Timing CAs between auto attacks is something every ranger learns as they level up, and especially if they get into raiding. It is required to get all of their DPS potential.
However, it isn't just for rangers anymore. With the longer delay weapons becoming available, it is becoming more and more relevant to anyone who uses those longer and longer delay weapons. A 9 second bow and a 9 second sword would do the same damage, all else being equal.

Honestly that makes no sence what so ever

I still only see a farmbot :)

??? How does timing your attacks skillfully have anything to do with a farmbot?

you write a macro that triggers your auto attack and CA's with the proper delays built in to make the most efficient use of them, so that you don't have to do anything to fight.

Macros don't allow for delays.
