Additional text in the ui code

Hey All,

I've been out of the loop for nearly a year now :eek: . I have reactivated my account as of yesterday though, and when I went in to do some preliminary checking on some ui stuff I noticed that a ton of stuff now has junk like this in it (the text in red):

Code:

<Data Name="TestAL1" text=":de8e7b0549cc4900:Default Level 1"/>

Why has all that crud been thrown into the ui?

Seems extremely annoying to me, but if there's a reason for it then I suppose I can live with it... And if it turns out that I'm just going insane then please let me know that too. :D

Thanks!

That is LU (now GU)27 joy put in for SOE's internal localization purposes (in my testing localization still worked without the numbers, but they may be needed in some windows maybe). You can safely ignore them.

So if I understand you correctly I can safely delete them? Or would you recommend working around them as a just-in-case tactic?

EDIT:
Ah, nevermind... I read about the LU 27 changes and found this:

Custom skins can remove the tags or reuse tags for the same text to have the user interface translated.
Thanks for the info!
