New Interface Graphics...

[cross posted here, and on the Everquest2 Interface forum]

No, this isn't a question... just posting a "preview" of the UI graphic set I'm working on. I decided to put my photoshop cert to use, and monkey with UI graphics... I'm not too hot on XML, so I figure I'll just let the experts do that for me, and concentrate on what I'm an expert with. ;)

I plan on making quite a few interfaces, and knowing that I've gone though, and masked off all the DDS files in photoshop. What does that mean, you ask? Basically, I can recolor the existing interface in about 15 minutes. Want red? No problem. Black? Piece of cake.

The MAIN reason I did this, though, is so I can draw custom UI sets... The one I'm working on right now is a "Woodland/Elf/Druid/Nature/etc" set. Have a couple of issues with how the game is yanking those DDS files (crops the top off some, regardless of alpha.. which you'll see in the screenshot below), so I still have some tweaking to do.

Of these "custom" sets, I plan on making 3 or so, right away.... I'll have the "Nature" set finished by this weekend, and then I'm going to make an "Evil" UI set for all your Freeport people. Think Red, Black, and lots of spikes. The third set I'm thinking about is a "Good" UI collection... Blue, white, glowing bits, whirls, etc. At first, I was going to do one for each archetype, and I still might, but these are being drawing by hand, in photoshop, so it's quite labor intensive.... add to that, the fact that due to work & family, I can only spend about 2-3 hours a night on this.

So, here's the screenshot. Please keep in mind that this is a ROUGH 'beta'.

Looks great. :)

If you weren't planning on it already, I suggest replacing the window backdrop texture with something like wooden planks or tree bark to go with all the leaves.
