Lordebon's FetishNightfall 12.1 Released

Version 12.1 of FetishNightfall as maintained by myself has been uploaded and should be visible soon.

This is a minor update that fixes a few minor bugs in version 12.0 and makes a few changes for GU64: Qeynos Rises.

As always, when using this patch you should do a fresh install of the files rather than copying the new version over top of the old one, as a few more unneeded files were removed to maximize compatibility with the game after major updates.

Please report any bugs or issues you may find with this version in this thread.

Zip File

I keep getting the following error message when I try to open the zip file: Windows cannot open the folder. The Compressed (zipped) Folder C:\Users\Downloads\Fetish 12.1 GU64.zip' is invalid. I have downloaded and deleted the zip file several times with the same results each time I have tried. Any suggestions?

Try downloading winzip or winrar maybe? It was zipped with winrar, but I went with zip specifically so that folks should be able to extract it normally.

Can also try turning off your antivirus during the download. Those have been known to screw up zip files before.

i also got an error - file is invalid. i'm using 7zip.

eta: weird. would not open from the windows explorer window, but when i ran the 7-zip manager, i was able to open the file.

I'll upload a fresh copy tonight, no idea why Windows would be having issues with it.

Fresh copy uploaded; no file changes, just re-zipped. Confirmed to open properly in windows explorer in Win 7.

worked fine. couple of oddities:
- folder named Fetish 12.1 instead of FetishNightfall, i renamed it in my UI folder
- no eq2 config file or eq2ui_custom or whatever in the top level
- no POI directory...dunno if that's an eq2 maps thing

will note anything else if i notice.

I change the folder name each time, since it's intended to be used as a fresh install; keeping the same name encourages folks to simply overwrite, which can lead to issues when files are removed.

I don't include any uiconfig files if that's what you're talking about; most users have their own setups and maintaining those files for a variety of resolutions just adds to the time of maintaining the UI. If you're talking about the eq2.ini not being included, I can add one if folks would prefer it there.

The POI directory is used with EQ2MAP. To keep file size down I don't include the images or POIs; just run the EQ2MAP updater after installing the UI and it will update the maps. If you want to make it a bit quicker you can copy the POI and images folder from your old Fetish install as well.
