I'm totally lost...
 

When I open the eq2ui.xml and edit the groupwindow and then save I don't seem to notice it saving a groupwindow.xml file into my custom UI folder as I had understood would happen. Also upon seemingly perfecting my groupwindow in the UIBuilder I "guess" I got it to work in EQ except for the fact that the entire window was solid black, except for the "search for players" button which turned out to be a spectacular white box.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here?

Did you copy your eq2ui.xml to a directory other than Default before you started modding?

I'm not sure if I did BEFORE I started modding... I know at some point during the middle (not sure if I saved or not before this) that I did move it to my UI folder where I have my other UI customizations... So I ended up not being able to fix the group window, by deleting it in both the default and my custom folder, it would download the new ones but it still showed like the buggy one I made... so now I deleted the entire default folder, which reset everything back to default and now I can't get it to recognize my custom UI folder. I'm usually good at figuring things out, but I totally feel noobish right now.

At some point... I suppose when I deleted the entire default folder and re-downloaded everything, it must have overwritten all of my custom UI's in my custom folder. Also, I have figured out how to make the window I want, except I wish that I could use the "space evenly" buttons, and can't...
