Examine Windows

Anyone else having issues with only being able to examine one thing at a time? Basically when loot drops.. i can only click on one item, bring up examine window, click on another and nothing happens. Close examine window and click second item and same thing, will bring it up, but then can't see another. This just started recently and not sure if anyone else was having issue.

1) You can use /load_uisettings and copy another character's layout, but beware that will copy everything from the other character.

2) You can reset all of your windows in Options, which will take your entire UI layout back to the way it was on day 1:
Options (Alt+O) > User Interface > Game Windows > Reset location for all windows

3) A more surgical approach is to reset the Examine windows in your character's uisettings file. Log out completely, then in the main EverQuest II folder find and open servername_charactername_eq2_uisettings.xml in Notepad. Search for the Examine module and delete it entirely as shown below. Save and log back in.

Hmm.. have done all 3 lol.. next to completely deleting my character setting. Now my examine window when I inspect someone else won't come up either.. i've snapped all windows to normal location and I've copied other UI's, I've redone to generic Profit UI setting for resolution and redid layout.. its driving me crazy atm

That does sound strange. I would do two things: 1) Check for updates, scroll down to Examine, right-click and delete, then check the Skip checkbox. 2) Move (don't copy) your character's uisettings file out to the Desktop, then log in. This will give you default uisettings and default Examine windows. If it's working like you want, keep it; if not, log all the way out and move the old uisettings file back into place.

BTW the Inspect Player window is eq2ui_mainhud_inspectplayer.xml. It's not associated with Examine, and has a history of randomly not appearing, even with default.
