Post suggestions for LEVEL 70 raid/group buttons 4 & 5 here

If you think buttons 4 & 5 should be preconfigured with a certain spell for your class, post that here. Again only max level (hmm yeah, will have to update this for T8 soon I guess).

Starting off with a post for healers that I ripped from another thread that I deleted to make this one (sorry ;)):

It's taking a little getting used to not being able to click on a raid members hp bar to target them, but I've gotten used to the quick cast buttons for heals, but I was constantly trying to click their empty hp bars to target for rezzes.

I did fix mine so it would rezz on buttons 4 and 5, but I think most healers would agree that rezzes on the last two buttons would be nice.

Please post the exact spell names or complete macros you want below though, I'll not go and look them up for every subclass. :)

Wizzy 4&5

Anomalism and Phoenixblade are only other spells we have to cast on others so that would be nice to see for buttons 4&5.

As an Inquisitor I vote for "death prevention" and the lvl 50 rez.

4. Absolution - 69 - "death prevention"
5. Conversion of the Soul - 50 - "no sick rez"

p.s. to be complete:
The name of the first in combat rez is "Reforming Soul".

Mystic
4 Ancient Balm - Cure all ailments
5 Fields of the Grey - Battle rez

pondering42 10-22-2007 08:56 PM

Warden:

Tranquility and Sylvan Touch (Emergency Heal)

EDIT: I should preference this with as a warden I have some of the worst in-combat rezzes, which is why I personally would find these two more useful.

I dont think Ancient Balm will be good we already have the cures there.
maybe torpor (i hope it gets upgraded in expansion) these are just my thoughts.

Kaldran 10-25-2007 04:36 PM

For Troubado(u)rs I would say /bonk for No. 4 and maybe /flirt for 5? :P

gm9 10-25-2007 04:40 PM

you'll get /yawn and /scratch coupled with a /tell Valor.Kaldran You make me wanna...

TEALCAVALIER 10-25-2007 05:28 PM

raid/group buttons 4/5

Defiler:
4. Vivication
5. Soul Ward

Warden:
4. Tunare's Watch
5. Hierophantic Advent

Chrislau 10-26-2007 12:43 AM

As a Fury, I suggest these 2 spells:

Primeval Awakening (Rez with Mana replenishment)
Wild Salve (Furies' minor healing spell)

Well, I wind up using ancient balm all the time. Even with the clicky cures, a multi cure does have its uses. With Topors, I NEVER EVER USE THAT IN A FIGHTING situation due to the slow component. After a fight, I might use it. Its a decent, cheap power cost HoT. But never during a fight. The only other thing I might use in a raid situation is Bolster. However, you can do what you want, but I will be sure to put ancient balm there on my own if needed.

xndienx 10-26-2007 11:01 PM

Pyreshield for conj... only real thing i can think of... Not really useful but it'll clear a hotkey :)

edit: maybe see invisibility as well

KrafoogooEF 10-27-2007 02:20 PM

Necros -

I rearranged my 5 to be:

Ruinous Heart
Revivication
/tell Shard Request
Displace Life
Animist's transference but I think CUre Arcane would be more useful broadly as not everyone has the AA/

Edit - duh - you already have the cures...maybe #5 could be See Invisibility (I get asked for it a lot in DT and EH...

olord 10-28-2007 05:57 PM

Mystic
**TORPOR** (This spell is amazing!! + anceint spell, can use raid wide too)
Bolster (The reason I put this is an easy way to bolster either a tank, or a crazzy necro about ot do a life burn)

4. Torpor
5. Bolster

Torpor is needed no matter what!

darkneszraven 10-30-2007 08:02 AM

Assassin

Assassin

1. Hate xfer
2. Apply poison
3. /tell I Heart U / Give me some wood "Heart and Shard Request"
4. ? Not sure what to put here
5. Assist

Just my $.02

ObsidianDragon 10-30-2007 11:14 AM

Illusionist:

4: Mana Flow
5: Synergism (Sever Empathy would also be good, but is an AA choice that not all take)

tntent 10-30-2007 11:27 AM

Is it hard to change what spells are used on those buttons??? can a newb like me edit the command?

Mostly it's pretty easy, check the FAQ.

I actually have Feral Potence on instead of the rez, only because I use that a lot more in group than I do my rez.

...

I'm a terrible liar. Okay, I rez a lot. But ideally I should be using Feral Potence more. :)

gm9 11-04-2007 03:57 PM

I'll go with Bolster for the Mystics, because Necros need love too. :p

Feral Potence only can be casted on a group member. there's no necessary put this spell on a raid window.

gm9 11-06-2007 10:33 AM

Just to clarify that everything above my previous post (#20) has been considered and is already in the latest version.

And Chrislau, as the same macro buttons are also on the group window, that is not necessarily a reason I guess. I did however decide to go with Wild Salve and Primeval Awakening instead.

Krymsin 11-06-2007 11:01 AM

Warden:

I use Tranquality for #4 because it's easier to hit someone who is just hammered with debuffs with it without having to switch targets. Since in raiding the main tank is usually healed of debuff's first while someone else is just being creamed with them in the group.

For #5 I use Revive instead of emergency spells.. Mainly because in a raid each group should have a healer to keep them healed, so I wouldn't use emergency spells on anyone but Main Tank or Main tanks healers. With Revive I can just res up those that are dead after the fight with just simply click the button and not having to switch to everyone who's dead once the last person is revived.

Plus I like having my hotbars full of stuff I would use in combat without having to switch too much. This lets me keep my in-combat single res hotbared and my group res up, so they are both up there with my heals and in-combat stuff.

Quick Raid button correction

Hello,

I looked for the other post where you were taking suggestions on what the first 3 buttons should be in the raid window, but I didn't find it.

I just wanted to let you know that Ember Seed for Conj is a group only spell. So this is useless for the raid window. You should swap Ember Seed for Pyreshield, think thats the correct spelling. This is the Conj DS and will work on group or raid friend.

I just wanted to say that your UI is great BTW. I used Extreme before this one and like Profit so much more. I still use a 19" CRT, so the little footprint that this UI has makes such a big difference while playing. When I used Extreme it felt like I was playing on a 14" monitor because the UI takes up so much of the screen.

Lecore

edit by gm9: merged you into this thread, I'll take the Pyreshield as a suggestion for the two new buttons. :)

lecore 11-06-2007 01:04 PM

Ok thank you. But I just wanted to make sure that you will remove Ember Seed since is does absolutely no good in the raid window.

Lecore

lecore 11-06-2007 01:12 PM

Maybe this is better:
  1. Scintilla of Essence (Already done)
  2. Pyreshield (Currently Ember Seed)
  3. Cure (Some encounters I just cast this over and over till fight is over, I dont wait for the person to need the cure)
  4. See Invis
  5. Unused
Lecore

Krymsin 11-07-2007 11:36 AM

In all honety, I would just wait a couple more weeks and let people configure them themselves for now. Soon most of the skills being listed here will be replaced with new skills and then you'll either have to ask the same question again or have to go back and replace each individual skill for each class yourself.

Just a thought.

gm9 11-07-2007 11:47 AM

Yup, that will have to be done again for T8. But since people know T7 well I thought it was good to ask the question now, as answers should be easy. That way we get a complete lvl70 set that will remain available. May still have some uses.

silver1978 11-07-2007 12:18 PM

Warden
#4 Tranquility
#5 Revive

Don't really have anything special to put in #5. Don't typically do in-combat rezzes since ours just suck. Advent I wouldn't want in there because I wouldn't want to click it on accident and since it stuns us it's something I would want to announce to the group before using. Also would be afraid to accidentally click our Emergency heals if it was there as well.

Was just wondering if the Assassin idea posted above were put in. When i logged in yesterday for raid i still only had 3 buttons with the original setup?

gm9 11-07-2007 01:49 PM

Oh the heart/shard request (everything else appears to be there already)? Must have overlooked that, can add it.

Awesome, I have learned my lesson and dont mess with things im not good at. Hence why i didnt just code it myself. Is there anyway you can keep the assist part of it on the last button. Makes it much easier to hit it :)

And thanks for a great UI

gm9 11-07-2007 02:10 PM

Sure can do.

Xanoth 11-11-2007 07:57 AM

Illusionist

Ordered by importance.

Main:
Mana Flow
Cure Arcane
Assist
Synergism (RoK : Tandem)
Secondadry:
Doppleganger ~ New level 80 spell in RoK, long recast
Split Personality ~ AA choice that few raiders take
Touch of Empathy ~ AA choice that few raiders take
Sever Hate ~ AA choice that few raiders take
Prismatic Chaos (RoK : Prismatic Adornment ) ~ Short recast in combat buff, impractical to really use in this way
There are 4 quite easy choices, the 5th could be much debated, although imo once at level 80 it would be more practicale for it to be doppleganger due to every illusionist having this abilty.

jdeborde 11-25-2007 08:40 PM

How about Reverence as button 4 for templars?
