Well, theres always next week for us not so lucky

Well I don't post a lot, but since finding this spot I read it a lot :)

My thoughts on this is you really should have a time frame for winners to come here and "claim" their slot before you send the names in to soe. If the winners dont come here to post and claim their slot within 12 hours you should draw that slot for someone else. That is a pretty common practice and I think it is a fair one.

Oh well, grats to the winners this week and good luck to us all for next week :)

i am actually trying to work with SOE on this. My hope is that I can re-raffle any unclaimed spots at the end. No word back yet from SOE, but I am hopeful.

In talking with SOE, I have found the best way to assure that the winners claim thier Beta slots it for me to email them first and tell them they won and have them confirm with a reply that they can claim thier prize.

So we have adjusted the drawing rules a tiny bit to allow me a day to email all the winners. The change is they have to confirm it within 24 hours or we will draw a new name.

This should assure that all the remaining slots will be awarded to an active person.

Will this site be adding more information as Eq2 starts like helpful things like quest and items and such... I really like this site, seems friendly and cool.

When it hits retail If I do not get a Beta slot .. I play EQ now - and really look forward to something like this - still in the EQ world -- Also I like your site and will continue to use it while I play.

I was very Glad to see R.A. Salvator writing storys now about EQ .. I love his books and his writing style - This will be very interesting to see how far he takes this Idea about Writing Fantasy Novels as MMO's mature . :rolleyes: :eek:

May want to consider a 48 hour winner confirm period. Think how bad it would be to be out of town for one day,then check to see if you won...you did...but missed the confirmation due date...what a bummer :( . I just checked today, with my fingers crossed. Just mho.

I think 24 hours is fair enough. It's bad enough when they announce the winners and your not listed, then given a 2nd chance by someone not bothering to check....but being made to wait 48 hours is just mental cruelty LOL. It's like holding onto a handfull of sand, watching it slip away thru the cracks of your fingers...only to be caught by your other hand and then not knowing how long it will be able to hold it all until it once again slips away.

Congrats to all the winners, Been playing EQ since inception and heard from a friend about the give a way you fine folks are doing, so decided to sign up and start posting since I finally had a chance to :)
