How can I change the background color of all of the popup windows? Is there any way to change the font on <thus and thus>? What is a DDS file, and how can I edit it? I want to see how many xp points I have instead of the percentage - can I do this? Those are just some of the basic ones, but the major ones that come to mind. Feel free to add others =) |
What affect does placing pages with in pages?

Will they release a list of current tags/objects?
Is there a tradeskill % tag available already? and if not then will there be one? (the ts bottom bubble will relay a % but the main bub tag will not) Could the size of the window view be increased with the active area designated within the window? Can the tint level of selected objects not overlap? It is hard to see what you have selected and where you are moving it after clicking 3 or 4 objects in a window. |
When we make a totaly new window the interface x,y posistion does not save in the server_name_eq2_uisettings.ini thus requireing the window to be locked in place in the xml. Is there any way we can make the new window save its x,y location in the ini so users can move it where they want and it will stay?
I'm not sure what art icon files are active. There seems to be a tun of unused art in the image folder. Can we get a list of active art files? I tried using the list generator in the uibuilder tool but I'm either not using it correctly or its not working. I understand the icons are overlayed onto the 4 types of gradient backgrounds however there are a few icon files that have these icons and the one I choose to modify "icon_ss9.dds" had no effect. Yes I put that file in a custom folder like this... %eq2%/ui/spells/images/icons/icon_ss9.dds and then put a custom eq2ui_skinfo.xml in %eq2%/ui/spells/ and loaded it. I'm sure I can fiddle with it more to figure it out but it would be nice to have a list of active art files so we can weed out the old un-used files. Can we request more dynamic data types that are not already listed in the eq2ui_gamedata.xml ? It would be nice to have some of the data that is used in the tooltips (ie: mob lvl, etc). :) I'll think of more... |
Where do i post the bugs in general and regarding the memory leaks ?
and please update documentation where it says " save your file often" to " save your file Very often" :) and a newbie question would be .. How can i see that dynamic data is actually put into a textbox/window. I can see the placemarkers but not the fact that it will be overwritten with dynamic data. Cheers, Dre |

How can you add information to current pages? For instance I would like to add what skill is used to create an item so on the screen to select a recipe I want to add a skill column to it.

how do you make changing window frames a different shape from the parent window for example i want the tradeskill create window a different shape from the recipe window while retaining the origional shape of the recipe window for the recipe window itself? is there an auto inventory ability? drop on paper doll it does to first available bag slot or the ability to make a button perhaps.... if i think of more i'll post them... running on 6 hours sleep for the last 2 days heh |

Spell names were in EQ1, would be nice to have them again in EQ2. |

Can we get a WYSIWYG editer mod to it. I love messing with the interface, but would be nice to have the ability to drag and drop window elements. |

Is there any way to get the old "Hit Modes" from EQ1 to work in EQ2? I got fondly attatched to 2 windows containing nothing but Green and Red numbers respectivly to reflect the damage dealt and damage taken. Not only does it remove spam from chat windows where I actually chat but it makes things nice and crisp and, most importantly, viewable. Seeing "Blabla Bla's you for Bla damage" just takes up space. All I want is the "Bla". :D

Inventory Management Suggestion
Trying to keep all my harvesting, crafted and completed items straight, in my bank, on my person and on my mules is making me crazy.
What I would like to see would be a way to rename containers in your possession, like you can rename a chat window. You can create many chat windows, and call them whatever you want. If I make a bunch of boxes for my bank slots, rather than Box, Box (1), Box (2), I would like the ability to right click on the box, change the name to "Pelts", "Liquids", "Ores"...or something. That way, I could at least have a modicum of control over the amount of stuff I need for crafting. |
Bag Color Coding - Labeling
It would be great if we could color code our bags.
Other suggestions: Labels Alt Tags (like for HTML images - mouse over and user set label shows up) User defined Single letter or Abbreviation. ----------------------- Off the topics of bags it would be great to see who in your group has what buff somehow. |

Letterbox
Now I can understand the letterbox theory of reducing Lag in zones. As I noticed when I got rid of mine how much I slowed down. Not majorly but I did notice. Is this the only purpose and why is it on by default. I run my boxes at 1600x1200 with 19's for monitors. I was kinda shocked that I lost almost half my screen for the two bars. Any other reason why this option is turned on by default?

I HATE the fact that the window location for Bags doesnt get saved.
I also HATE to have to right click on bags and selecting "open", thats 2 clicks to open a bag. An interesting option would be: single right click to open it, another single rclick to close it (eq1 style), and hold-right-mousebutton on it to display the extended menu "examine, open, delete...etc" I think would be better. I hope you consider this. Is there a place or boards to post suggestions to the game (Not UI Related)? I'd like to know. -Nocturno (Nektulos) |

Is there a way to see how many quests I've completed without adding them all up on the "completed" tab?
Is there a way to see how many Orcs, Undead, Goblins, Gnolls, ect, ect, I've killed without having to go to that "wanted poster" in West Freeport? (Or wherever it is in Qeynos). |
I know this is not a UI question but this is something that I think would be good to have. Is there a way that we can buy items from a merchant without having to go get money from our bank account?
Is there a way to prevent chat color settings from going back to default when you switch between extreme performance and very high performance? Can you fix in the options the text bubble thing like I can fix the windows? (ie. I just would rather see the text of the pc/npc speaking than a big giant white bubble clogging my screen) |
1) How do you resize the pop up window that tells you when you've found a quest item, when you've come to a new area (Dead horse valley, Druid plains, etc etc) and when you've had a skill up (You have become better at Crushing). Somehow while moving my UI around, I made that window smaller then any Text that goes in there, and I haven't been able to figure out how to resize it so I can see all the text. :confused:
2) Is there anyway to size the "are you sure you want to destroy <Item X>? window? To make it smaller? LOT smaller? Dang thing takes up 1/4 the screen. :eek: 3) I'm not sure if this is a bug, or "working as intended" but when I have tried to trade with people and my inventory full...I try to give someone say 2 items, and they try to give me one back, we can't trade because it says my inventory is full....but well...it's not. I've freed up two slots by *trying* to trade 2 items. In a relate area. Will there be a way for the game to recognize when you have partial stacks of something when trading with other PC's? Example, my inventory is full, but I have a partial stack of coal (15), and someone wants to give me 3 more coal, atm we can't trade because it says my inventory is full, but in reality, I could accept the trade because I have room for up to 5 more coal. :( 4) Is there a way to go back to the recipe selection page of a tradeskills station page after you have made something without having to close the station window and re-open it? 5) Can we get a hotkey command that opens all of our bank bags, like we have for our inventory bags? 6) Number only hits mode please! 7) Is there a reason why we can't trade bags with items in them to other players? It's verra annoying to have to first trade the items in a bag, before you can trade the bag. /boogle. 8) Will we be able to by from brokers from our sell boards in our inn rooms? thanks, Nov |

Click-through functionality
Would it be possible to add a "Click-through" functionality which could be turned on or off per window? It would allow selection through the window.
Many windows are informational and require no interaction beyond being visible. It's great to have them up, but they then get in the way of selection occasionally. Or, better yet, all areas that do not take input would then allow selection through them. If you want to see an example check out Shadowbane. While it did have it's numerous problems, it had a decent implementation of this. Thanks! |

Q: How can you view your mouse pointer while UIBuilder is in Run Mode?
A: Either goto the View menu and uncheck Cursor, or Click the third button to the left in the display window which looks like a mouse pointer. |

Tabbed chat would be nice. Several chats in one window. With an ability to name each tab it would make a lot less clutter. New chat input could make the tab name bold, a'la Ryzom. Like, you have global channels in one tab, enjoying the spam as you whack away at a mob. You get a tell and the name on your /tell tab goes bold to indicate that new text has arrived. And stuff... :D
