Loot window Broken
 

When I try to loot an item (Or a Shiny) after today's patch, I get a error saying
The Inventory Loot113830 Window is not compatible with the current client. Please upgrade your UI mod to a compatible version or rever to the default UI (/loadui default) I have installed the 9.5 patch.


Anyone figure out how to fix this yet?

eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml
eq2ui_popup.xml
eq2ui_popup_groupoptions.xml

Deleting that file doesn't work. When you remove it. It brings up the normal character box and when you go harvest a shiny still gives same error.

Oh right, sorry, I forgot how Fetish is set up, it includes all UI files. I think you will need to delete at least these as well:

eq2ui_popup.xml
eq2ui_popup_groupoptions.xml

Disclaimer: I'm not familiar enough with the UI to tell you what problems might arise from deleting any of these files. :)

rename or delete eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml

I only renamed or deleted eq2ui_inventory_inventory and eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml and i can loot shinies now.

When someone actually finds out what works, please let us know! I really dont have the time to keep trying different things. :)

Delete eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml and you should be ok.

Silly gm9, he thinks inventory.inventory is the loot window ;)

What lordbon and nastiya said, I delelted that file and can loot chest and loot shinys.

Loot Window: Quick Patch
 

SOE added some new group options in this patch, and they had to modify the Loot Window to make those new options 'available'.

I found two changes:
(1) They added a 'version=2.0.0' to one of the file lines.
(2) They added three more (conditional-display) buttons to the file.

The file I have attached is the latest Fetish eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml file, with these two changes.

SOE also changed the 'gather shiny' logic so it pops up the same Loot Window as a monster chest drop. This is why collecting shinies also broke.

The attached file works for gathering and looting. I have not yet been in a group where the new loot options were used to see if the the buttons I added 'appear' or not.

I had these all deleated, logged in and they reappeared after patcher in the UI file.

I deleted them again before logging into game after patcher and once in game i grouped with my wife, clicked on group options and CTD with a windows error box to send a report to MS.

the loot options did work in default, but damn default is fugly!!!

I continued to Crash To Desktop (CTD) last night even after this patch when i was grouped and would click on "group Options" by right clicking a member name.

I am assuming that is the correct way to set the new loot options for grouping that was added in the eq2 UD43?


I can loot shinys and harvest ok with this patch for fetish (ok)
I can loot chests ok with this patch. (ok)
I CTD when I use group loot options. (problem)

Ah right, sorry. well then no idea, it's not my UI, but a clean install is always a good thing.

Sounds like you're deleting them from the Default folder -- don't do that, the game just patches back over them. Delete them from your fetish ui folder.

I am trying to figure out if there is another issue that I have. I used fetish and when tried to loot ?'s and !'s I got the error "No eligible target." So I deleted appropriate files and still go the same error. So, I switched to default ui, and got the same error. So late last night I deleted Fetish, DL'd Profit and lo and behold...the same error message. I can loot everything else but ?'s and !'s all with the same error.

Anyone have a clue?

That's not a ui related issue. I'm not sure why you're getting "No Eligable Target" -- are you using the wrong skill on them perhaps?

Interesting. Hadn't thought about using the wrong skill since I have been using the same one since launch day :P I simply get next to shinie, right click and hit collect, then the error message comes.

I'll try a full file scan at start up I guess if it is not UI related. I just saw many people complaining about not being able to loot ?'s and !'s so figured I'd see if it was a known UI problem.

you have to target it first, then use the collect ability

yea I was :) I did a "duh" and figured out this thread was refering to the fetish folder, not the default../shrug

That is a related issue. If you check your game log - it will say one time the Inventory loot###### error message and then you will only get the not an eligible target message.

Ahh interesting. I didn't know that it would go to that message, thats kinda misleading hehe.

Yes the loot window is larger than prior Fetish version (though still smaller than default). I will probably scale it back more in a future update, just didn't have the time to tweak the 5 billion buttons to allow for something more compact. I reskined it from scratch rather than risk missing something SOE changed.
