Hey all, let me know what you think.
Here is my attempt at creating a complete skinned ui. I hate to reinvent the wheel and although I liked a lot of your UI's they just didn't quit satisfy me. So I took the things I wanted and then took all of your ideas that I liked and modded my ui. I am naming it extreme because my son says that all the time and when I ask him what he thinks that’s what he says loll. Not going to give props here for you idea till I get it done then I will give you full credit for your idea that I use. As you can see the exp panel is still under construction and things need to be lined up here and there but that’s the over all look. I was going to make my own backgrounds but those perdigraphics just kept calling my name and they are so well laied out. The mod takes full advantage of Fetish's frame and with all the perdigraphics backgrounds that are out there, changing the over all look will be a snap. I do plan on putting out an .exe that will assist in changing the backgrounds and frames. The inventory is fully functional you can drag and drop all you want free from crashing. These screens are at 1480x960 And OMG there are a lot of files to remod.. Hats off to you guys that lead the way and figured this stuff out.. |
1) DAAAANG!!
2) What is the pixel size of your hotbars? Looks pretty small, but then I dont hav e screen as big as yours. 3) I like that glossy blue overlay on your compass. Where did you get that? 4) What are all those bars in the target window? 5) Do you think I can get your inventory file? I'd much rather have a working inventory display thing like you have instead of the crashy-version. ;) I been dorking with laffs new LAFFS-LITE version and you've got some features I'd like to include. That UI is probably the most original looking EQ2UI that has been made, I wish it was available for download, I love it.

Just 1 question! HOW THE HELL DID YOU MANAGE TO GET THAT MINI INV TO ACCEPT DRAG AND DROP??? I been close to hitting that thing with a hammer many a time trying to get it to work fully, Whats the secret bud ;) |

I should have the last of the main files converted to accept fetish thems late tonight and will up to beta for all do find the nasty bugs and spelling errors.

The effects window at the bottom of the top section is not big enough to hold all displayable buffs, does it resize or anything? Being able to see all 30 buffs is important for my husband being the main raid tank in our guild.

On that window you click the button on the left and it will resize down to show all 30 effects ;)

I am almost done converting all the windows to use fetish framework. OMG I almost typeled /fetish.framestyles.... when I typed that. One questiong.. How important is it to for that maint window to show all 30 buffs? Does any one use more then 15? If so I'll need to resize the icons for that window. I know the most I use 6 to 8 max if that(im lazy). But if 30 is a need thing I'll do it. but OMG if u have to keep u with 30 I feel for u.. lol |

Well it looks veary nice, but i only have a 19" screen so i cant realy have that much dead space maybe you should try to clean it all up for every one. I think you have the potental to be the number one down loaded UI on ever quest 2 :)

If the maintained window is where I think it is you got no chance of getting 30 buffs in there hehe ;)

nice mod - this is sort of what I had in mind when I first did night steel but I kept all the graphics files and layouts intact from the original mods to make it earier to work with.
I am even have to try this one out :) |
The effects window needs to display 30 buffs. The maintained window is limited to displaying 15. The window I assume is the effects window is at the top of the screen, and it is not big enough in the screenshots to display 30 buffs, so that's why I was asking.

Aha! That is what I thought. You were talking about the effects window, whereas Landiin was talking about the maintained window. Glad that was clarified.

Ok one last thing to do and I can't find it any where... Where is the buttons that you click on when u hail a mob to make a choice? I have changed every file/module in the ui but this still comes up as default 0.o.. Once this is changed I'll submit this ui and get some sleep lol..
And on the maintained window, it will display 30 if so needed, It will display 13 normal sized buff icons and when the 14th is displayed it will resize all to allow all 30 to fit into the window. I may do this to the effects window also so that no more game window is taken up by the UI. I just wish they would let us stick effect icons in a sub page or like the maint window so they wouldn't run off the edlge of the frame >.<. |

Thats what I thought too but thats more of a listbox menu type thing and the thing Im talking about looks more like a button(s). I also already had that skinned so I don't think thats it. I'll look again tonight when I can log in.

Bad news:( While it worked to some degree, it just don't update right to be in the mod. I was getting around the broke group dynamic data on the heath bar by using the Onhide event on a breath bar to copy the progress from the hard coded bar to my bar, while this worked with out error in the UI builder, sadly it didn't in the real game. When it would up date the bar, if the hard coded bar showed full the progress value would be any where between .95 and .99 never 1. Plus it wouldn't update reliable in game:(. So I hid my bar and health/power % read outs till SOE decides to fix their broke UI data.
SOE come on fix the dynamic data. That would be 15 min of coding max to fix and the world would rejoice!!! Oh yea give us some raid dynamic data too or let us filter the hard coded objects. Other then that every thing else is testing/working great :) |
Ok am I going crazy or is this happening to every one. in eq2ui_mainhud_knowlage.xml in the UIBuilder I have have the TradeSkill button on the right side of the page and the CombatArts button on the left side. BUT in the game the TradeSkill button is on the left side and the CombatArts button is on the right no matter what I do.. /boggle Its like they are swtiching Loc that are in the same spot I put them in the UIBuilder but just swapped.. Any ideas?

I was just wondering..... would someone get bugged and stuff from using this? have you worked out all the bugs in the new updated version? Would I get banned from EQ2 from using this new UI?
