There was a post on the main page on how to fix the detrimental effects window... I'll paste it for your convenience. =]


Game Update number 39 has now been pushed live. With this update comes some interface changes.

This update adds a new interface window to the game called the Detrimental Effects window. This window will show only debuffs on your character. If your custom interface has a eq2ui_mainhud.xml file you will have trouble seeing this new window. You will need to add the following line of code to your custom eq2ui_mainhud.xml file...

Find at the bottom of the file:
</Page>

Directly above that insert a new line and add this:
<include>eq2ui_mainhud_detrimental_effects.xml</include>

For the RoK expansion.

Do the following for a quickie fix.

Remove these files from your EliteUI folder.
- eq2ui_mainhud_achievements.xml
- eq2ui_mainhud_mail.xml
- eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml
- eq2ui_mainhud_openedmail.xml

This should fix any issues you are having with gameplay until I can finalize a new version.

Any esitmate on an updated version? been pulling my hair out trying to make it work nice like before. Now I had to switch out to profit reborn to play tolerably until an update for this is done :)

Anway only drawback I had was the map poi finder and the self target implied that went with player window not showing.

The new release is done. I have a couple testers running threw a few things, including a new addition to the compilation. Shouldn't be much longer.

Character screen
 

Hi, Ive read through your material and havent seen anything about this issue. I have no other addons other than EQ2Map that you recommended. I have 2 issues, although 1 is with the Map but maybe you know how to fix it also.

1: I do not see my other characters on character select when loggin out, its just "character" with no name.

2. With the EQ2Map. I love this map btw there is almost too much stuff on it lol sometimes i have a hard time finding when im looking for. Anyway when i open it at the bottom where it tells you loc, if i put my curser up over the loc box another bar pops up almost completely blocking the loc. It is the box where you choose what map you want to put up. If you have any info about this it would be greatly appreciated also.

5. [Shutdown Window]
To add your toon's names to the list. Edit the file eq2_mainhud_shutdown.xml, found in your EliteUI folder, with Notepad. Click Format at the top of Notepad and put a check-mark next to word wrap. This will make it easier for you to see where to edit. Then search for...

<Button LocalText="Character" LocalTooltip="Server"

Edit character and server, be sure to leave the "". Edit one for each of your toons. Save and exit.

#2: It sounds like you replaced the mainhud.map when eq2map prompts it. Make sure you toggled under the options to ask before replacing and always choose no. That's about all I can think of for that problem atm.

unable to drag hotbars
 

Fist off I want to thank you for this awsome compilation. I am sure its not easy work, and it is much appreciated :).

1. For some reason I cannot drag my hot bars. Normally a +(with arrows) will appear indicating I am selecting the window, but such is not the case. All all other windows are fine, and they are un-locked.

2. Several of my Bank boxes have aligned themselves where the title bar is off screen not allowing me to select and drag. is there a quick fix for this without reverting back to "crushbone_eliteui" or other uisetting and having to redo the whole thing again?

Adventure Exp locking issue
 

Since the exp bar is gone from this UI, how do I lock my Adv exp. plz help?

FYI EliteUI users!!!

There is no real need for me to release a new version or patch for this simple update.

There are 2 key components that have been updated. One is external and one internal in the Compilation. There is also a new external utility to add to your pre-launch eq2map loader/updater.

1. EQ2Poifinder has been updated to version 1.51_120207, get it here.
2. EQ2Map updater has been updated to version 1.0.15, get it here.
3. Finally add the new PoiUpdater to your routine as well, find version 1.1.3 here.

After installing the PoiFinder updater. Load EQ2 maps. Hit the options button. You'll see a section for LAUNCH FILE 2. Click browse. Browse to your desktop and select the shortcut that was made for Poifinder. Now everytime you use the EQ2Map loader to start EQ2, your POIs will be auto-updated.

Enjoy!

1. To drag your hotbars. Go to the hotbar options window and enable the spinner. With the spinner shown you'll be able to move it around.

2. Have you tried the locator button in the EQ2 menu?

Did you try right-clicking the xp % window? It has a disable combat xp selection there.

Thank you...wasnt even aware of the locator button, and the 'add spinner' then move works....kind of a pain to do that on all the hotbars...but at least it works.

Appearance window
 

Val, I love this UI, great job.:) I have problems using the appearance window. Nothing I try to put in there stays and my appearance stays the same. I hadn't tried this before all the Frostfell items showed up. :confused:

The quest helper toggle should be Alt-J. If not check what you have it se to in options.

The status bar toggle is located in the Persona window. Upper left corner, click the P.

NM I found how to edit.

I do not have any of this text in my eq2_mainhud_shutdown.xml file. What do I do to get my characters on the list?

With GU43 live, you'll find your loot window no longer works.

To force the default loot xml, delete the file eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml from your EliteUI folder until I have had a chance to work up a new version.

Val you rule. Thanks for continuing to work on this interface. I've been using it since practically my first day in EQ2 and love it.

Just downloaded your UI and really loving it, just one problem. Somehow i either turned off or it turned itself off, the hide illusion, harvesting helper and macro control panal. Is there a hotkey to turn it back on or i'm i going to have to reinstall?:)

NM, got it to come back up after little more reading on the forum

In case you missed it, Val has uploaded a patch to fix this problem on the download page for EliteUI. Look in the patch list on that page, should be the first one on the list.

Sorry for the delay in the next release. I am actually toying with a new list of compilations. I have two versions I am looking at atm. The current Fetish-based UI and another with ProfitUI as the base. Once I have it to my liking I'll release it to those that help me with beta's and changes then put it up for download. Please be patient.
