how do I turn off the auto assist feature in this UI, I'm a healer and it's not good for me

The easiest thing to do would be to just avoid clicking the player's name. Any other spot in the group window will target the plaer normally.

The harder solution is to open the eq2ui_mainhud_group.xml in Notepad and manually delete the button objects named assist.

One thing i have seen that i would like very much is night vision maybe you could add it to the eq bar where you have the raid , good qquality bars i seen this on another ui and boy does it help when you enter a cave at night time

Goth Theme update
 

Okay Zonx. I did the side-by-sde of the _FetishStyles.xml files from the 7.5 zip and the Goth zip.

Here is the updated Goth styles file. I'd appreciate it if you could test it, as I have little- to no-knowledge of exactly how these files work. :)

If I need to update anything else to get my favorite color look back in my favorite UI, please let me know?

Is there a way to keep the scrollbars and the dots and such in the tracking window?

Anyone else having a problem with everyone else showing 10000 hp in white when they inspect someone?

Yes.

I've uploaded a patch for that. Click on the button underneath my name to find that and correct that (and a couple other) bugs in the inspect window. Just download it and unzip the file into your fetish folder.

Just wanted to say I love this UI!! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this.

One question I have though. Is it possible to somehow put a follow botton on the group window for each group member? I have seen other group windows that have this but I really want to keep your group window. Would make it much easier for my priest to follow the tank if I didn't have to right click on the player and select follow all the time.

You have to use the full commands: /gu or whatever. It's a bug on SOE's side, but for now you can't use the "auto-switch" or default channel bit for now, you have to put /<whatever> <message>.

Death and Revival
 

Currently every time I die I have to load the default UI then issues the /showdeathdialog command to be able to revive. Then, to get the Fetish UI back I need to log out of the game, replace the character UI file with a backup that I've made, then log back into the game. I can still be resurrected by a priest without going through this process, just when I need to revive. Issuing the /showdeathdialog command in Fetish does not work. Anyone else having this problem when they die? Probably not, because I'm sure I'm the only one who dies this much. Any feedback would be a great help.

I've died and the death window shows up fine for me.

If you're using just the normal fetish UI, try re-copying eq2ui_mainhud_death.xml from the zip file to your directory. Also check eq2ui_mainhud.xml to make sure it has the include line for that file.

Quest Helper window is gone
 

Great UI, awesome job on it. I've used this UI for quite a while and haven't had many problems. The one I've run into now is that my mini-quest window that sits in the top right corner is flat out gone. I've forced all windows on screen, toggled the hotkey for it, etc. Its not invisible, its just not there or anywhere. I was thinking about finding the xml file for it and deleting it to have it revert to default, but I am unable to locate which xml file it is...

Any tips on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Gonna FAQ this one...

When switching from other UIs to Fetish, occasionally one or more windows previously saved to a non-default location may wind up off screen. This is due to differences in default location settings between the UIs.

To resolve the problem...
1) Rename your server_character_settings.ini file for the affected toon(s) to something like default_server_character_settings.ini.

2) Log in to the toon. You will be asked if you wish to copy settings from an another file. At this point you can try selecting your default settings file.

If the window is still missing, you'll need to use Game Options to restore all windows to their default locations, then rearange everything as you want it.

To avoid the problem, always keep separate server_character_settings.ini files for each UI you'll be using, including the default UI. For example, if your toon's name is "MyToon" played on the "Blackburrow" server and you want settings for both Fetish and Default, you'd have something like the following...

default_blackburrow_mytoon_settings.ini
fetish_blackburrow_mytoon_settings.ini
blackburrow_mytoon_settings.ini

When using the Fetish UI, blackburrow_mytoon_settings.ini would be a copy of fetish_blackburrow_mytoon_settings.ini. When using the Default UI, it would be a copy of that file.

Hi,

I have tried everything, but I can not seem to get this to work at all. I've downlaoded your ui and copied all files to the ui I'm using as I like this bagstrip. However I can not seem to get it to work. I keep getting the message, to pls update my ui or load the defaut ui as it is not compatible.

Is it possible you could look at it and see what I need to do. If not I can understand.

I have not yet updated any FetishPieces for LU29. The Inventory window for that piece is out of date.

You might want to download FetishNightfall 7.5 and extract just the eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml from that ZIP. Some text colors will need to be eddited if the blue used in Nightfall doesn't go well with your set. Copy the colors from the piece you have and replace those in the Nightfall version.

Hey Zonx.. is there a way to make the bag size the default for eq2, while still having your skin color, and when tracking, is there a way to keep the target color dots and the search bar, and scroll bar visible all the time, not just on mouseover?

Eq2MAPS + Fetish
 

my EQ2MAP acts kinda wonky in Fetish when I follow the install directions (create Fetish folder, download EQ2MAP first, then copy files to fetish folder and say yes to all for overwrite) Often times, the map will lose it's MAP FOG option, and often times it mixes zones up (ie. shows some flightpaths in freeport, won't show the proper exits to the zone, shows the eastern part of commonlands even though I'm on the western half)

Maybe I missed a step in the install instructions. If I do the opposite, (install Fetish first, delte EQ2MAPs folder, then install EQ2MAPS), it is more reliable, but I lose all of the wonderfel features of Fetish/Eq2Map integration

When using the updater, did you tell it to ask to overwrite the mainhud_map file, and do you keep saying "No" when it asks you to?

Sounds like its overwriting that file, which would cause the wonkyness you're talking about.

I seem to be having issues with my background color on opened boxes they all have a black background even my health/power window is black. tried leaving a few chat channels and the lvl chan is black so i can not ckick it to see it to leave it or join any. Please Help, I really enjoy Fetish UI hope to get this fixed

what's up with the chatting, I alway had my chat channel set to guild and just type away and hit enter and it will be in the guild chat, but now i have to type in /gu, this is such a pain. is there a way to fix this so I can chat in the channel i select instead of using commands, because i'm always busy with something like fighting and typing the command first is just straight out pain in the arse.

Also with the map updater, why come all the sudden it want to overwrite that file, because i alway had it unchecked about asking to overwrite.

Sinester the chat is not a UI issue. It's a problem with SOE. They broke the chat. Everyone including people who do not use custom UI's are having the same problem.
