Funny I stumbled upon this timer a while ago myself and wondered why there seems to be no mention of it or instructions for it. There is mention of it though, in the Credits section:

It's pretty handy and not always as complicated as the instructions make it seem. I used it to time AE's once in a while before I learned how to do that with Advanced Combat Tracker.

Currently instructions are available by reading my changelogs (although the 3.0 info is still missing, I know). I linked mother's page in those as well.

Eventually I plan on fleshing out the FAQ by pulling that information together but that's way down the priority list which currently has "real life" taking up all the top spots. ;)

Armus550, if the button to close chat windows does not work try pulling it into another window and remove the tab. Rarely you need to delete your uisettings however to get rid of the window. I often open up temporary separate chat windows and usually have no problems with that. Regarding the indicator for being in melee range - I don't think that is possible but I will have a look. You could set up a parser like ACT to filter that message and give you a sound.

poopy, if you get an error about outdated windows you are not using the latest version. And no idea what you are seeing after renaming that file, but it is surely not ProfitUI (read: don't rename it or any other file, they are named like they are for a reason). :)

Sorry if this has been asked before... I fished through some of the 70 odd questions so far but haven't seen anything on it... I was wondering if you can set your own personal settings with the Video Controls under Raid or Screenshot... so you can switch between them. Thanks for any info!

I am fishing through the threads looking for info on my questions but... on my map window the waypoint marker doesn't show up so I can't set waypoints...

There's a readme file explaining how to do that in the ProfitUI folder :)

Great UI, gm9!

I have one issue now, but not with Profit itself. At the end of the release notes, there's a comment:

"The windows that are modded in ProfitUI already include "just press enter" functionality, for the remaining windows see here:
Just Press Enter LU29+ by heidrickla"

which I used with previous versions of Profit, but the link seems to be inactive now. Can someone point to another UI file to insert in my Profit directory so I can at least autoloot by pressing enter? Thanks.

I figured out how to get the waypoint to show up again... but the readme in the zip file only has the links to the FAQ and the download site. I have already perused the FAQ and sifted through the forum trying to figure out how to save custom video settings.

Don't mean to be difficult, the UI is awesome and I am really enjoying it... and I tweaked my settings to just what I want and it would be cool to be able to switch performance settings.

Am I just missing the info?

I am sure that has to do with the spacing, and you could go into the xml and makes some changes to shift the numbers over to allow it to show, or just bug gm9 till he gets around to fixing it... which is what I sugest =)

I remember setting up that bar originally and asking myself how many AA points we are likely to get in the near future. I figured that at most we'd get 25 per expansion so I set the bar up to display only two numerals. Anyway, if you have 100 already there's no reason to look at that number anymore anyway. :)

It's on my list though.

Cannabis, the first thing I would suggest would be a completly clean install. A lot of times that fixes the problem. People tend to just copy newer versions over old ones and a lot of times that causes problems.

Cannabis, now that is strange, you seem to be using the latest release (maybe try reinstalling as suggested?), but it seems your server has not been patched to the new UI format yet (login-window, hotbars and bags where changed with EoF). Very strange, no idea why SOE would leave only the russian server using the old UI.

If you still have an ProfitUI 2.8.2 available try that, I'd wager it would work (if not I'll find it in my backups and will upload it for you here).

yes we have steel old (28) version becouse of there is no translation yet on 29 update

also i've have one suggestion it is to localize this mod
thereis some strings that havent been taken from client and are steel staing on native languge
my sugestion is to make 1 file with this strings for easy localization(any one who what to locolize this can do it by him self or could uplod localize version here)
it`s more comfortable when every thing are wroten on same language))

Here you go, the old ProfitUI 2.8.2, which should hopefully work on the Russian server.

Regarding the localization: The game supports some automatic translation but ProfitUI is not completely compatible with that yet - I need to enter a specifc code for each word so that the game recognizes and translates it. I will slowly be adding those codes to the whole UI.

Having a strange problem I can't find a fix for, the bottom bar of the UI has dissapeared on me. It's the one that holds your stats, resists, crit % (when moused over), etc... I tried loading the default setup of the UI (1208x1024) and this did not solve the issue. Anyone have an idea what's up?

This happens to me too. I just reset it everytime I log in. Same box as the one to get rid of the player bar.

i don't have problem when i was using 1024x768 and changed to 1440x900 recently

I forgot to include the workaround for the bottom bar problem in the release. You can get it back for now by resetting it's size via the control center window.

Ok, will do. Glad to see I'm not the only one faced with this odd problem.

Would it be possible to have another skin like the Blue(Lighter background) but with the lighter background everywhere? I really like that shade of blue on it, but there seems to not be one with just that for the bottom bar and other stuff as well.

This is a strange question but...on one of my toons I do not have permission for guild chat..but the others are fine. Not sure if this is UI related..but thought I would ask here anyway. Thanks

Hannadog, that's not UI related. I wasn't even aware that you are able to revoke guild chat permissions, but if you are then your guild leader is the one you should ask. Otherwise /bug it.

Problem is I can not see any control center or the top and bottom bars.

I have done a complete reinstall of the game.
Extracted ProfitUI Reborn 2.2.1 to my EQ2 directory.
Loaded UI settings 1280 X 1024

After that I just started clicking around on my screen looking for some hidden window..LOL

I know the UI is loading because my windows have all changed. I just can't find the friggin control center.

Any suggestions?
