4.0 is finished testing (oi 5:30am and i gotta be up for work in 3 hours lol)

Well here it is, Vert 4.0.. with lots of changes. Sorry to be late posting it but got caught up trying various methods of using /target_previous to try a work around for loosing target with the new buttons.

Known Bug: The Ressurect & Guard Find Person windows are to small, cutting off half the button... i can't find these windows in the xml files to fix this... hopefully someone will be able to point it out to me who knows where they are, or how to fix this issue.

Changes:
1) GU38 compatable and working... in the appearance window to see your paperdoll is the same as it always was, a small button in the top right changes the window from stats to paperdoll in case you didn't know before.

2) With gm9's permission we now have the bottom bar from profit, seems a few people wanted it, so we have it... if you don't want this feature delete _profitui_bottombar.xml from the vert directory.

3) Click to cure is here... the new buttons are as follows:
- Group window (5 buttons): Clicking the player name is one button, the
4 possible effects are the other 4.
- Raid window (3 buttons): just 3 normal buttons to the right of
people's names, if you can't see them you might need to resize the
raid window.
- Crafting (1 button): the icon for the status effect during crafting can
be clicked to activate a macro.
All the buttons are linked to a text file in the vert\macros directory, currently if you click one it'll say ingame what file to edit to change it.
While this method does cause you to loose your current target, I felt this was acceptable compared to the ease of use setting up the buttons for the user. If you feel diffrently and would prefer the style everyone else uses where you need to edit xml files and hope it works but keep your target, post about it in the forums.

4) Startmenu finally fixed.. yep no more hiding the button then showing it again to have the full menu show up.

5) entire UI revamped... I went through every window in the game and standardized how it looks, all the buttons, scrollbars, frames, and backgrounds look the same instead of a mixmatch it was in the previous versions.

As always if you feel vert is missing something, or something needs a serious change, post about it in the forum link above (or reply to this post if your reading this in the forums already).

I believe the window you're looking for is called eq2ui_hud_choice.xml

I have 4.0.1 and I seem to have trouble when examining quest items. The selection text that is used to progress the quest seems to overlaying the normal text.

Here, this is the hud choice from Vert before the GU38 upload, I don't seem to have any problems using it. The one in the Default folder hasn't changed since April, and this is modded after that, so should work great.

hmm interesting you didn't have any problems with the pre-LU38 one... I've been having problems with the window being to small for months, and it was fixed with the new one, but i wouldn't put a frame around the window like the rest otherwise the background didn't display properly ... what's interesting is it dosn't seem to like being modded at all, if i change any part of it, it seems to break in some way... rather annoying but i'll keep working at it to figure out why.

I have the same problem. Anyone know a fix for this?

Also, when I use the detailed (arrow) version of the target and implied target windows, I am unable to see the buffs/debuffs on the target and implied targets. Is there a fix for that? And yes, I have the option turned on :)

I tested mine again, and your new file, neither work right. I also tried removing the hud_choice file altogether, that didn't work either. Perhaps it is something with the way the skin is added to that particular window....

turns out the issue with the overlapping text and choices was not with HUD_Choice.xml at all, but with MainHUD.ReplyDialog.xml so that is fixed now

also fixed is the small effect icons on target and implied target, they were not showing since the window size was locked... on mine as soon as i unlocked the size they appeared, if they don't for you then just resize the window ingame.

A minor fix to dressing room, i missed it during the overhaul so some buttons were wrong in size.

Eric, if you remove the effected files from your UI folder the new default ones will show through until the UI gets updated. However due to the style differences for this UI, the settings/details popup off each Guild Bank window comes up jet black.

The jet black is because of the missing part in the eq2_inventory.xml

Just add <include>eq2ui_inventory_guildbanksettings.xml</include> to it.

Hopefully i'll be able to get the update done and out soon as the work week is done.

funny thing..everything works fine except like many others I get that big "detrimental spell effects window" message every time I zone. which is no big deal to me anyway.

Just love this UI...the only thing that is a little annoying is that every time i zone, i get the message : The Detrimental Spell Effects window is not present. You will not be able to see detrimental effects on your character until you patch your UI!

I have tried reinstalling Vert from scratch, tried to rename this file, remove it from vert-folder to use original but no luck =)

anyone that can help me out, what am i missing?

Check the "eq2ui_mainhud.xml" file to ensure it has the following line in it:

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_detrimental_effects.xml</include>

If it does not, follow the instructions below:

You will need to add the following line of code to your custom eq2ui_mainhud.xml file...

Find at the bottom of the file:
</Page>

Directly above that insert a new line and add this:
<include>eq2ui_mainhud_detrimental_effects.xml</include>
