Have you played EQ on it yet? or from that folder? There has to be a file called <account name>_characters.ini in either the EQ2 directory or eq2/LP_REGION_??_?? directory. It has nothing to to do with what bit you OS is.

Overlapping
 

Hi Landiin,

Not sure if this has been posted but every so often the numbers for my XP is overlapping with my tradeskill XP and you have to cycle all the way through in order for it to reset. Wasn't sure if you knew about it. If you need a screenshot, just let me know.


Also, is there any way you can add the feature to add or edit notes while in game?

Landiin, I did and its not working right. The only way I was able to sumbit one is when i changed the UI back to default. When it reskins it to Extreme it doesn't let you type in the Summary box. I have even tried copying the help file to Extreme folder and throwing it in the Excluded list. Still notta. :confused: :confused:

1600x1200 uisettings.ini
 

I noticed that there are no default setting for this resolution. Will i have any problems?

I can't run the game at anything else since i'm on an LCD.

Just use the 1600x1024 as your base. You will have to manually move some windows around to adjust for 1200. My LCD will not go that high or I would have that setting:(

Yes is know >.< For some reason SOE thought it was a good idea to make it when you gained exp it would force that bar to show. I'm trying to defeat it but haven't been successful yet. I'm going to have to rescript the way the exp and stats work with each other to fix it and well I've be lazy.

Sorry that isn't possible as the SOE does not provide a way to really export data from outside the UI.

Well, honestly, I like the fact that if you're showing your tradeskill XP and you kill a mob, it automatically changes to adventure XP and vise-versa. Now, to have it change from your stats window back to adventure XP, that's annoying :D

I am not doing something right....I have used a UI mod since it was possible to do so and recently (since patch 25) can not make any mods work. :confused: I tried SageUI and that wouldn't work either. This seems very simple with the auto updater. Any ideas what I'm doing or not doing that could be the problem. :(

What I'd try is save copies of your .INI files... do an uninstall of eXtremeUI and then run the installer again. Maybe you have corrupt .XML files that's causing your problem.

Go to settings from the main menu on the AUCP. Click on ui and client settings. in the eq2.ini group click on default button, then the save button. Then below that pick what character you will be using and a close rez setting and click save. That should do it.

Target's buffs
 

For some reason, I can't mouse over my target's buffs to see what they do or what they're called...any ideas how to fix it?

Additionally, every time I go into windowed mode, one or more of the windows ingame changes position slightly...known bug or did I screw something up somewhere?

I keep forgetting to look into this. Now that I have the exp window working correctly again, maybe I can remember this lol.

When you go into window mode the play screen changes size/Res, When this happens windows move around and changes sizes to adjust and EQ does a bad job adjusting them.

collection journal add key
 

my add key in the collection window is still at the edge of the window most of the time the rest of the time it does not show. I have deleated all of the journal windows from the extreneUI folder and no change.

yea, yea, yea lol. I fixed this at one point, but Umm think I forgot to upload it and my fixed copy got :o updated lol. I'll go back and fix it again.

Strongboxes and the share slots
 

Heya

well everything in the UI is working great now...but did find one problem....Before I came here to post I asked some of my guildies and they figured it is a UI bug....

While I was adjusting the window layouts I came to the bank to do them....then found a prob....

I use strongboxes in my shared slots in my bank....when I opened them up I expected to find a big square with item slots....to my surprise I found a single column of item slots streching from the top of my screen to the bottom....luckly enough I run a res of 1280 x 1024 or else I would have lost access to some of the item slots....granted it's quite different and I could live with it but would take time to get used to

in trying to find out if it was a bug or not...I took one of the boxes and moved it to a regular bank slot and it opened like normal....but I did forget to try a bag to see what happened....I then moved the box back and it opened again in column form

is this a bug or did SOE make a change to the share slots to do this so one can tell the difference between the share slots bags/boxes and the normal bank slots bags/boxes?

Besides, when I run this UI it appears all jumbled.

The way bags, boxs or any window that uses bag window works is if you have Frames and title bar on the bags display normally. If you have the frame off they display left to right, if frames and title bar off, it displays top to bottom.

No its not a bug, each slot remembers the bag setting. So when you moved the shared box to a normal bank window it remember the settings for that slot.

Try rerunning the AUCP not the installer if it hangs. Sometimes it does that on any given file for some odd reason. I'm trying to find the cause of but being it can happen on any random file its not an easy bug to find.

As far as it being jumbled, as soon as the AUCP is done updating it will allow you to go into settings and make eXtreme you default UI and set you char.ini files.

For some reason, every time I log on I get an extra chat window on my screen (not connected to the other tabs) called "Tab 1." It's proving difficult to get rid of it, since there's no option to close it and it's hard (if not impossible) to add it to the rest of my tabs to close it that way...any ideas?

your char.ini file has gone bad. You need to go into settings and resave it. I would also /bug it as its been a bug in the UI system from day one.

First off I would like to say that this UI is awesome. I have been using custom UI's since I was introduced to EQ1 4 years ago and this one is the best I have ever used. I just installed this yesterday but seem to be having a problem with my group window. The health and mana bars are working but the pertentages for both on all group members just shows 0%. Is there something I have done wrong?

Nope nothing you did. SOE quit pushing that data to the UI so it quit working. Maybe one day they will fix it and it'll work again.

Odd problem
 

I've come across and odd problem. I'm in 1024 X 768 mode (laptop so I don't have much choice). Whenever I switch characters using the AUCP tool or going to the character select screen, when the new character loads, his health/power bar is solid green. Same goes for anything I target as well. This only ever happens when switching toons. If I log out of EQ completely and then log back in, no problem.

Any ideas?

Thanx Landiin. After posting here I logged in and now they are showing 100% all the time....LOL....I hope Sony gets this fixed soon.
