Anybody noticing anything strange with health data? Tonight I was at full health and one hit from a blue mob and I was dead. I doubt a blue can hit that hard but maybe it can, just seemed strange to me is all. :nana:

Wanted to say that I love the interface. Awsome job. I was just hoping you could help me with a small problem. I'm unable to open my inventory. When I press 'I' and when I go to inventory on the EQ menu, nothing comes up.

Faety, I messed around with the settings and this is what I found out. When I'm in 1st person view I see these messy block in the bottom right corner when I look around. When messing with the options to change settings around to fix this problem. I tried this twice but found that when I adjust the widescreen letter box from min to max and back to original settings that i had this block goes away. Here are my pics of this problem.

Had a user with an issue with the guild level label and well to make a long story short, a test version of it got slipped in to the final release of the installer.:o
Just delete "eq2ui_mainhud_guild.xml" from your ThorUI and this should resolve the issue.

I'll see about squeezing the map toggle back in the start button. ;)

I just revamped the inventory window to an extreemly slimmed down version that can be left minimized while playing to cast buffs and such. (This is straight from Sony's default Inventory window)
Are you using 4.8 or later?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
If all else fails, go in to the ThorUI folder and delete "eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml" then log back in and see if you have an inventory again.

Really wish I had a clue on this one.

Does it do it with the default sony User Interface?
I'm grasping again, but all I can think of is maybe my windows demand more memory from your graphics card that when you toggle to full screen the graphics card can't display all the graphics correctly. Which after I write it, it just doesn't sound reasonable as one would think that a larger area would be affected or atleast a random area...

I find that in sony's default User Interface, I see my reflection flawlessly. This seems to be a very hard problem to pin point, but thanks for the effort. Mostly it's probably has to do with my card or memory. Thanks for all the help tho. :)

I made 3 sets of screens and my own guess is that the use of the widescreen thing is causing the blurring.

You dont see much difference though, as the quality of the jpeg's arent full scale. You can see the difference best when looking at (screenshot) 21 and (screenshot) 22 and looking at the deputy halfling near the gate.

I run the game at 1024*768.

You got a great interface, one I've been using for awhile. My issue though has been constant since release 4.5 (dunno if this has been fixed yet, although latest version still has the same issue). When I load up the new version, alot of my windows (raid window, logout window) are completely black. Not only that but the my status (not group, just me) doesnt show my name or anything. The EQ button is black around the edges as well. Is this an incompatibilty issue? I've tried this with two different video cards and get the same result. It's because of this that I'm forced to use a version previous to 4.5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The raid window uses the Sony default other than an altered image file for the archetype icons.
The logout window hasn't been modified in my mod "that i'm aware of".

After you take and post the screen shots, would you mind uninstalling then deleting the ThorUI folder and try again?

Thank you, I do see what your talking about with the blurriness.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the blurriness is happening on the default UI with the black border.

This appears to be a graphic card memory issue as the more "items" you have on your screen with an effect will require more memory from a graphic card.
Also, I'm no graphic card performance expert but I believe the more of a contrast you have on screen the harder your card/monitor has to work as well.

I'd actually love it if this was something I could fix but from the looks of it, it appears to be graphic card or Sony programing related.

Nope I think you're right. When I started playing the game the widescreen border thing was on by default and I was looking at it like "hm, I expected better quality", since I play at 1024*768 and want to make use of as much screen as possible I removed it and the quality improved.
So yeah, I think its sony related, most likely because I run a 9600xt (ati card) and there seem to be more problems with those cards (more then nvidia cards anyway) especialy with the drivers.

and yeah the contrast and especially gamma cost more memory.

i just started playing eq2 i used to play swg, l2 and wow.
in all of those games i was able to put my weapons/armor on my hot keys for quick select. is there a way to do that in this game?
im a paladin and it annoys the hell out of me everytime i want to go from my 2h to my 1h and shield by having to open my inventory and search.

To the best of my knowledge, No that isn't an option although many people want the same thing.

I would suggest you post in the help forum just in case.
But when you do, add the following line at the end:
"If this isn't currently possible, could anyone that sees this post and would like that addition to the game, please do a quick in game feedback asking for it?"

That may kill to birds with one stone as the saying goes. ;)

That did the trick. I deleted the entire ThorUI directory after uninstall and did a fresh reinstall. Works like a charm now. Was probably conflicting with an older file that wasn't getting uninstalled. Thanks for your help.

Is there any possible way to make an individual button for bag toggle and the Inventory button that you have now,as opposed to the toggle that opens your Inventory , Then you have to click on the bag in your inventory to open all your bags.

The reason I really liked the quick bag toggle in the earlier versions you had created , Was that I could pop it open in raiding and do a quick flip of activatable items ,now it seems a little tight and a little disorienting with all the bags lined up at the top of the inventory window.

Keep up the great work I have most of my guildies hooked on your UI now!

I included the "slim-n-trim" no values version of the vertical groupmember window as well.

I changed it to Inventory since I performed the full revamp on the Inventory window. (It's meant to stay open for activatables, rings, ammo, and so forth.)

Any objections if I just change the bag back to opening all bags rather than the inventory?

Guild problem
 

When I open up my guild menu the event list is blank as if the guild did nothing. At the bottom tho it does say "500/500". So i'm pretty sure we did do something. The only thing that does show data is the members tab. Need help to fix? Thanks.

That's some odd stuff going on there Lyte.
Try uninstalling, deleting the ThorUI folder, then reinstalling the latest version.
(4.8.3 is coming in just a sec)

FYI, My mod doesn't modify the guild window in any fasion currently.
An earlier version had a minimize button added but since Sony is getting ready do do some more modding of that window, I thought it was best to back away from it until they are done. (A minimize button isn't worth a user not being able to use it at all.) ;)

That just makes me think more and more that you have some files from a previous version in there.
A couple earlier version of my installer had some uninstall issues, hence my removing those registry entries. (In other words, no more control panel/registry entries since 4.8

Do the ol clean slate and uninstall, delete ThorUI folder, then reinstall.

Let me know if this also fixes the other issue. That ones still bugging me :)

I had the same Problem last night when I downloaded the new version , I went into the main Eq file deleted a thor Ui that apprently did not get removed from the uninstall program ,redownloaded and My guild event window came back as usual.

It's not that big of an issue, but I noticed last night that the bank window is kinda bugged. The "Close" button in the top right (the X) does not function properly. When I mouse over it, the pointer changes to the "Move" pointer (the one with the crosshairs on it).

Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, as the window can be closed using the Escape key. Just thought I'd mention it.

The guild window problem i was having is fixed and the new version is much better. I did noticed that bank window bug to but forgot to mention. I'm glad it was brought up. Haven't come across any bugs yet. I did check on that mirror graphic problem but still remains. For me it goes away once i play with letter box. I know you dont need to worry about that. The new version works great :).

It's me again.

I downloaded the newer version. and it is better than the one I downloaded the other day. I'm not sure if someone mentioned this or not. but you can not esc out of the inventory window, you actually have to click on the x. Also I am unable to just hit enter and type while it is open. I have to actually click on the chat line and then type.

I liked the slim group design. where it only showed the health bars. even though it couldnt go transparent it was fine since the were much smaller. I did install the hotfix but it changed them back to the bigger ones. Not a big deal, I'm keeping the bigger ones since they are not transparent in the background. just thought I would mentoin it incase someone likes the smaller ones better.

I have a question about the persona window. Since you revamp I have noticed that alot of the persona window has disappeared. Where do u change your prefix and suffix and update your Bio? Please let me know if you moved them to a different place or if there is a work around. Thanks and this is an awsome UI. :nana:

Yup, inventory designed to stay open and minimized.
you chat by starting with a / or clicking
If you don't like it just delete the "eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml" from the ThorUI
I actually plan on changing the install to include everything as optional.

Player and Groupmember Window:
As stated in the hofix section that is only for the normal player and group windows. I'll have the others with the next release.

I just have one problem, i'm trying to get the interface to look like in your screenshots. I've used your ini-files so it does look like the screenshots, all except the groupbar..

It just has the original look.. :-/

Hmm...I'm using the 4.8.3 version.
The notes say you changed the toggle inventory button back to the toggle bag version; however, when I hit the button it still toggles the inventory. I have uninstalled all previous versions, but can't get the toggle bag option.
