How many here use Dual monitor setup and would be interested in the AUCP being able to spawn log parser windows that you could set to the other monitor and configure them to filter any data you needed?
|
i use dual monitors and i love it :)

Couple of things...
Every time I run [DEVUI UIName] AUCP I get an error: List index out of bounds (0) On the download page it says we're at version 3.23 but the file I downloaded is 3.22 When I click on Notes tab I get: System Error. Code: 1400. Invalid window handle. On Quick Char Switch it loses my Char Name and Server every time I exit and I don't get option in drop down. And finally after selecting Play Everquest II button to launch EQ2 I get into EQ2 but no new ui, even looking at /loadui there is no Extreme at all!!! Now guessing user error. But not sure what I could've done wrong in downloading file, running, updating and selecting play, there's no rocket science bit I'm missing is there? And lastly on exiting AUCP.exe I get AUCP.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close... Error report: AppName: aucp.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.387 ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 0001eb33 |

Version numbers are really pointless at this stage. The install file says 3.22 because thats what LU SOE was at when I uploaded it. The UI says 3.23 becasue eXtreme is on its 3rd major change and it's LU 23 ready. |
Wow, thanks for rapid response!
I installed it simply by running the downloaded file from Desktop. Installtion was fine, well I got no errors. Certainly haven't intended to block it form reading from registry, although I wonder if I've got something set up that would do that by default. Fair point on version, just wondered if it was maybe an older file I was downloading is all hence problems. Now to work out then how to see if I can find out if registry is being accessible. |
Swerves,
Do the following; Start->Run Type in regedit and hit the enter key When that window opens up ( if allowed) browse this path below. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SOE\EverQuest II\UI\AUCP You might try uninstalling and reinstalling also. On the good side, I know I need to add some error checking in the installer to insure it knows all registy data was saved. |
Great work..but when i try to install it i get List index out of bounds (0)
message after its installed.. Any clues to what i've done wrong? Cheers Foz. |

In the directory that you chose as the base EverQuest2 directory is there a file that looks something like <account name>_characters.ini in it? Well being I'm asking what path did you use if you don't mind me asking. |
Thanks for REGEDIT details all works now. :)
Have the list index out of bounds error still though, and it looks like this is why I can't set char select maybe? Anyway to answer your question above to another with the problem. I have a file <account name> characters-eu.ini in the root EQII directory, is the -eu bit causing a problem maybe? Us Euro's eh! :D |

I am having some problems here. When the UI was updating it stopped at 43% with disconnected showing on status. I opened it up again to update and it updated the rest of the files I needed. So I log onto eq2 and this is what the UI looks like. Any ideas to how I can fix this? (text box is not actually blurred in ui) ;)

Let me start by saying thanks Landiin. The friend who started me playing EQ2 8 months ago strongly recommended your UI. I tried a couple of others but yours worked the best for me.
I was very surprised that on the May 2 update you had added the ability to cast cures with one click. As a healer, this was a great feature. But it seems to be a little broken. The buttons work for myself and the first group member (selected using F2). But none of the other group members work. This was mentioned by Raesoth a week ago but I never saw a response. Thanks a lot! Demadred |

I have a question for you though I see you said selected using F2. It should auto select the groupmember you are trying to cure when you click on the effect icon. Is it not auto selecting them? |

OK, did some playing around and this is what I found.
1) all group members autoselect when clicking the spaces where the curable effects show up except for myself. When I click on a cure for myself, my target does not change but the cure spell is cast. 2)The cure spells actually cast if I click the buttons for either myself or the first group member. All others only select that charcter. Hope this helps, Demadred |

I assume you are using a freshly updated UI? I'll look at this tonight, I do have a double header after work, so it'll be late before I get an update in. |
The once for your self isn't make to auto select your self. Should I go ahead and make them target your self also. I'm not a healer or never played one so I'll go on you healer/buffers wisdom here.
I assume you are using a freshly updated UI? I'll look at this tonight, I do have a double header after work, so it'll be late before I get an update in. I would expect it to act like the others, so yes, please have it select your self before casting the cure. I ran the updater before I logged in this morning. I understand this is a hobby. Take as long as you need. Thanks |
