Yeah, I get that. :p However, as a few people mentioned, I also cannot adjust it horizontally with the spinner in place. I tried the work-around that was mentioned... to adjust it without the spinner, but when I add the spinner it makes the entire bar go askew.

Is there something I'm missing?

well heres whats happening with me i'm right clicking on the hotbars but am not getting an option for opening a new hotbar. all i'm getting his hotbar settings/clear all hotkeys/window settings and unlock window. would be nice if there was a way that i could right click and select open new hotbar

Over your mouse over the upper right corner and a block will show up and there will be your niceness.

upper right corner of what there is no way to open up or chose when right clicking the hotbar of the ui to open a new one i've tried everything including your right corner thing. there is a red block that comes up in the right corner of it but otherwise nothing can be done to open a new hotbar

Whenever I mouse over my bags the border & background of them turn RED, anyone else have that?

Yes happens to me too. its all screwed up i cant even reset my hotbars the meat underneath is back! and full force!!!

I have also a problem with the bags.
I have my bags on the top end of the window, but from time to time the bags going a little bit lower on the screen.

I dont think landiins coming back. hes been going for a week now and also wasnt around to update for lu 33. im thinking he got fed up trying to keep up with SOE changing ****. hehe i wouldnt blame him if he did. this is hard work to do for free. and for what? more bitching then praise

Hehe I'm still here.. Just not a lot of time. I did get the group one c2c icons fixed:) Just didn't post anything about it, but the AUCP should of installed the fix.

Yea I do get tired of all the changes SOE makes but they are making the UI better and better. To bad they continue to hard code things instead of giving us a real scripting language to use. Oh well thats life..

If I understand you correctly there isn't any thing I can do, if your bags don't stay where you put them. The UI has no control over the client saving window positions.

Yea they will do that. I need to get a real border glow fixed up. The way it is now is just a quick fix to see the edge of the window while frames are off.

Looking into this issue ATM. Seems clicking in dead space along the edge isn't working either.

For now till I get it fixed, the work around is;

Oddly shape the hot bar (make the row on top have more icons then the row on bottom) and right click in the empty space to get the full context menu.

Today I found the problem with my bags but I don't have any idea to fix it.

I play EQ2 in fullscreen but from time to time I switch back to window mode (alt+enter) for read a quest info with my browser. After this I switch back to fullscreen.

And now all bags goes a little bit lower on the screen. And this is on every switch from window to fullscreen modus.

haven't used this, but with the new changes in LU34, I have tried saving my settings, and I get the message save failed. how can I save the settings also, to be able to use the preset selections?

The AUCP is telling you the save failed or the game is telling you the save faled?

I'm under options, and having adjusted a few different settings (rendering distance and particle size) the option window has several options at the bottom, default, save, load, accept, cancel. I click save, and then I get the save failed message.

As always, thanks for your continued work on extremeUI, Landiin. It's a great UI and we all really appreciate the effort.

A few things, though, that could use some attention:

1. I am also having the problem with saving performance settings. In LU34, they implemented the option to save custom performance/quality settings using the options screen, but this doesn't seem to be working with extremeUI. When I click the "Save" button on the options screen, I get an error message.

2. Quest sharing was implemented in LU34, but the extremeUI quest journal does not support it yet. Specifically, there is no "Share" button, as there is in the default UI.

3. Changes to the LFG system are coming soon in LU35. Changes to the UI will need to be made to support the new features. I'm not sure if you've done any work on this yet, but just giving you a heads up.

No, I'm running Windows XP.

Also, whatever changes you just made to eq2ui.xml screwed things up. My chat windows, health/mana bar, and control panel are all black and white now instead of their normal colors, and replacing that file with an older version fixes the problem.

Yeah, after todays update I have the same problems, the exp window has lost the percentage values as well. Can't tell what the targets health or power is, can't see it. I hope this can be fixed quickly.

Opps, forgot to add eXtremeStyles to the eq2.xml :eek: Sorry about that! All should be fixed now.

Is there an ETA on the quest sharing thing?

If you are reporting a bug, I ask you to go to My Portal and post them there. You may also post them here but posting them on the portal will help me keep track of what I need to do, to get eXtreme back in shape.

Thanks for the fixes, Land. When I read your update notes in the patcher, the part about eq2i.com reminded me that extreme didn't support the new eq2 web browser last I checked. I checked again and confirmed that it still doesn't work right. I posted a bug report on your portal. Thanks.

The new web browser works just fine for me. I've had to of opened it 100 + times tonight testing different ideas out. I'll do a total download of eXtreme and see if there is missing files in the updater.

Oh you must be talking about the HTML button on the EXP window.?.? If so thanks for bringing that to my attintion! Just fixed that and add the fixed file to the updater!

Err yea, the HTML button on the XP window is what I was talking about. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know you could bring up the browser with /browser until just now. =p However, the "Browser" button doesn't actually do anything for me now. Also, while we're talking about XP window buttons, the helm/hood drop-down menu actually hasn't worked for quite some time. You can bring up the little menu by clicking on it, but clicking any of the options doesn't change what's displayed when the menu is collapsed and doesn't change what's actually displayed on the character. I've filed bug reports for both these problems. Thanks.

Yea noticed that the drop down doesn't work for helm, but it does work for hoods. I'll have to look at that code another day. As for the browser button not work, /blushes I misspelled browser (broser) in the command. It's been fixed and put on the updater. I verified it this time before upping it lol.

I was wondering if I could get some help. I absolutely love this UI and use it on 3 computers in my house. However, we also have 2 laptops and we cant seem to get it to work on them. Every time we set it up it doesnt save the settings and it goes back to all the panes being in the wrong place.

We have gone into the AUCP settings and all that, but everytime we open the AUCP it still says that extreamui is not our default and do we want to make it. We can't get it to save on our laptops for some reason. As I said, we use it on 3 desktops and it works like a champ, but for some reason we cant get it on our laptops.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this, or has anyone else had this issue?

Sometimes and I'm not quite sure why when you click yes it doesn't save for some reason. I would debug it but Umm I lost the source when my HD crashed a while back and haven't bothered recoding it the AUCP.

Any way what you can do is; open up settings in the AUCP and go to the eq2.ini setting part. Make sure it has eXtreme as the default ui. Then click the save button below. If the save button is greyed out, just change one of the values and change it back and that should ungrey the save button so you can save.

Hope that help. If it doesn't there is a copy of eq2.ini in the ui/eXtreme/uisettings folder you can copy over to the main EQ2 directory.

We will give it a try, but the save button was never grayed out. When we click it, it doesn't seem to do anything. I deleted the AUCP off the computer and will try to redownload it and do what you said. If it doesnt work I will let you know. Thanks for your quick response, again I absolutely love this UI, just hope I can get it to work on these laptops.

Excuse me Landiin but in the Update Logs says that you have fixed the EXP window. Do you mean the window in the top left with the percent display of XP, JOB, AA and so on?
On all submenus the percent display are not correct, for 23,4% it says 234,4%. The decimal place are not correct.
But one or two times the display are correct until I have an update than the decimal place are wrong.

I recently installed your UI and have ran into a problem;
I start the game and the UI appears alot less detailed than it does in the screen shots, I manually moved all the windows into place as the screen shot shows. Ive tried to uninstall and reinstall multiply times now, any advise would be very helpful,

Humiliation I don't see any thing missing from your SS except for a hotkey/bar over the maintain spells. The only thing I see is it looks like your res is somewhere around 1024x768ish and the screen shots on the download page where take at 1440x1024. As you can probably guess 1440x1024 one can fit allot more things on the screen then with a lower res.
