Sorta tail-end charlie here, and I will try the same fix u mention. Mine were set in vertical configs and somehow they changed after I updated extreme today. I did update extreme b4 EQ2, so I'm clueless, but just volunteering my settings for info value.

Land, I think you made a slight typo in that last post. the AlwaysOnTop="True" comes after the first <page, not after </page, at least that's what worked for me. For anyone else out there who wants to be able to arrange their hotbars into multiple rows, but still have them always stay on top, my edited hotkey UI file is attached. It is just the default UI's hotbar file edited as Landiin suggested. The only minor problem with it is that it is somewhat difficult to get the right-click hotbar context menu to come up. You just have to click in the dead space around the hotbar. Thanks for letting me know how to get around this problem while you work on a more complete fix, Land.

Any one know why the error in the attached picture keeps popping up.

Also is there something that will show duration timers for buffs to include how long food and drink last.

last i am having problems with mouse over details in the options tooltips it is on but when i mouse over anyting i get no comparision window nor do i get stats on the item at all i have to right click and examine everything. imagine how much of a pain that is. can someone help me.

Yep im having same issue, my hotbars will not goto 12 across, 11 and 1 below it or just vertical. I have tried deleting hotbar file but still doesnt work, just starting happening a cpl of days ago, otherwise never a prob.

Well yesterday (2/7/07) was an adventure. Everytime I logged off and got back on I had to reset my hotbars. :(
To reset horizontal to vertical I opened hotbar settings and slid the size adjuster to larger and watched the bar go from horizontal to vertical with various combinations in between. Once I attained the proper shape that I wanted, I set the size by typing in the figure I wanted in the size window. This worked for the 2 x 6 bar I wanted as well, I just had to be very careful sliding until the proper configuration occurred, then manually set the size again by typing in the figure. This worked for the time being, so I offer this temporary fix to any others who need it. If someone more knowledgable can offer a better fix, I'm all ears! :p

I'm working on the hot keys trying to get it to work with out dead space. I only had a small amount of time to work on it last night:( For now use MacDaddy62 posted file or smoknjoes41 work around until I can figure out a way to fixing the sizing issues. We may just be stuck with the default until they fix their fix.

i found for the hotbars that it was pretty good to use the default file but put the alwaysontop="True" in it works great no problems with UI in that aspect

Ok try this hot key file out. I havn't tested it at all but it should work. It has ~2px of dead space around its outer edge. When your mouse is over the window it will tent the dead space black allowing you to see it. No this can't be turned off, its there so you can see it.. hello.. lol j/k

Any way let me know if it works and junk. Remember you CAN NOT access the contect menu for window settings unless you right click in dead space. No a blank key slot dosn't count as dead space. Outer edge only if you want to access the window, hotkey, my Moms number context menu.

I am a newb to custom UIs. I heard how sweet Extreme was and decided to give it a shot! I ran the install set the character etc and all I have is my default UI scrambeled up all over the screen! No fancy ExtremeUI, could someone point me to th ehand holding post so I can try to get this installed?

Run the AUCP Start->Programs->eXtreme->AUCP

from the main menu go AUCP=>Settings in the left menu panel click on EQ2 client settings. You will then see on the right side a section called EQ2.ini set as default and then press the save button. If the save button is still grayed out toggle one of the true falses and the press save.

i installed on another computer and checked all the settings it has something to do with the UI can someone tell me what file it would be and i will just replace that file with my default file

I'm not sure what you are referring to sp3nc3. Every thing I mouse over shows it's tool tip except for the target's effect and I know what is causing that just haven't came up with a work around for it yet.

Load into the game with the default UI (rename eq2.ini) and see if your tool tips are working.

ok i did as you said and everything is fine my mouse over works i can see stats on everything i mouse over but when i load extreme my mouse over stops working i cant see any stats on items that are in my bag or any item for that matter unless i right click on them and hit examine.

if you could imagine its a pain maybe if i upload everything that i have and give it to you and you can see if it does the same thing to you.

Odd. Loaded it up this morning and my bottom left chat window disappeared. Not a huge deal but annoying. Unfortunately, I still can't re-size the hotbars. I'll try the workarounds posted above later today to see if that will help.

if it disappeared like it did on me right click on other window and hit open existing window

Tried that and one showed up in the same place but no more tabs. I opened another existing window and now I can't figure out how to make it disappear. Doesn't seem to be an option listed for that. Just shrunk it and hid it behind some others for now. :)

You should be able to close them extra chat windows now..

Updated some more things and put back in the group click to cure. I don't know if it will work or not, I mean I know the script is good, but umm I didn't test it.. I didn't have time to get in a group but the self cure works so maybe the group one will to lol.

ROFL OK. I went to far back in descendants. I'll get that fixed tonight when I get home from work.

Chat bars and everything else is working. Finally figured out that EQ2Map wasn't letting the UI update all the way. The checkbox to make it wait is pretty damn handy. :D Now I'm trying to decide if I was just an idiot and didn't see the close button in the window.

Dude i loved the way it looked in the screenshots...but when i downloaded it and installed it...it was all wacked out...do i have to sit and tinker with it for a few hours or what? or maybe is it cause i loaded it in windowed mode eh? anywayz help me out with this thing cause id like to make good use of it! :nana:

Will you be updating the broker window to include the new level column? I love the compare price mode portion, but I'd really like to be able to sort by level, too.

Also, I've dug through, and I've seen where you have listed that the overlapping has been fixed, but it still isn't fixed in my UI. Is there some way I could fix it myself?

Did SOE add a level column to the default market window? Hmm I've must of missed something..

Ayup. I don't remember which one, but I think it was LU31, they added a level column between the price and seller. :)

AUCP napping?
 

Hit the button this evening and it says updating the aucp filelist.xml... and just sits there. Worked yesterday. Deleted the file just in case, but still d/ls a 0 byte file and the splash screen stays up.

My thought is it has taken a well deserved rest :nana:

Hmm working for me, as you can guess I don't use the AUCP a lot being well I always have the current copy lol. But I do once in a while update eq2map with it and it gets eq2maps's info from the aucp_filelist.xml file. Any way it may of just been congested rout or something. Let me know if the issue persists.

Yes sorry about that, the host machine had some problems last night and they have been fixed now.

you know for some reason my interface mouse over details always stops working it was fixed and now broke again i cant figure it out anyone have any ideas.

Yes i have checked all the details in the tooltip option and they are all turned on i have even tried adjusting them to see if i could get any changes but nothing seems to work.

with the last second to last big update that extreme did it started working again then when eq2 updated it stopped working and even the last big update from extreme didnt fix it. i cant figure out what the problem is and does anyone get the error message in the beginning when they first log on says something like you are using ui mod not compatible with recent changes in tooltip. Please upgrade to a compatible version or revert to default ui.

im almost positive that that has something to do with it. am i the only one that gets that stupid error.

Strange you get this as I don't think I've modded the tool tip window. Just in case I have and don't recall (at work so can't look) look in your extreme folder and make sure there isn't a tooltip.xml something or norther file. If so delete it and see if that resolves your issue.

I'll also look through all files tonight and make sure their ver numbers are not below SOE's.

I should have guessed, conjestion, it is the cold and flu season.. :) Working fine now.

Everytime i adjust the space under the hotbars to disapear and i log out and back in its back to how it was. i have tried everything to uninstalling deleteing everything all my eq2 settings and everquest2.exe as well to restart the settings but nothing works. the hotbar meat is always right back there when i log back in. im going to jump off a cliff now see you later. I love being a fae.
