Huh. I guess I'm just SOL. I'm trying it with compressed files from various sources now, some that I've opened before with no trouble. Some of them I get an error on, some not. I wonder what the problem could be... :(
|
I can verify 7-Zip works just fine as well, you might want to give it a try, it is a free program (open source)
|
What are you using to extract the zip files?
WinZip and WinRar are also other good alternatives. |
I doubt it's his software, sound more like faulty memory, overheating or overburdened power supply, or other things that cause data corruption.
|
I've tried all three. WinRar, WinZip, and 7-Zip. They all have trouble with the same files, and work fine with other files of the exact same format, even if I've cleared temp files and downloaded to different locations... This is frustratingly perplexing.

is it posible to get spell reuse timers over the hot bar buttons?

Not sure how soon I will get this mod out however. I will definitely mess around with it in the next few days though. |
Somebody should finally do this mod:
We expressly got SOE to change the DD to support that but nobody modded it so far... (see here also) |
Hey, now that's a good idea.
I'm about coded out for tonight, but tomorrow I'll tackle this project for sure. But I'm pretty sure the progress bars will have to overlay the icons as previously stated in that topic. |
Yup I agree, unless you accept horizontal icon spacing you'll have to overlay them. But if you overlay it is pretty simple as I stated in the topic I linked, if you take my code you can simply drop the progressbar in there instead of the text and it should work out of the box. I just never got around to do it.
Biggest problem would probably be where to overlay without hiding important information like keybinds or amount. Maybe do a left aligned vertical progress bar? |
Yeah... it would be nice if we could move the numbers around that are on the icons.
ie: re-use bars overlaying top of each icon, and number binds in the bottom-right corner. I'll mess with it... could always put refresh bars on bottom if icon. Vertical bars will probably get in the way of NUMPAD# bind text for those using it... lol |
Putting it at the bottom will hide stack amounts and charges for item links, e.g. potions.
|
Ooopsie :p That's right

Update to the Stat Bar:
- Several small tweaks to the text of stats for formatting (or lack of), new stats added, and checkboxes replaced with text-only buttons The stats included collectively are: Health, Power, HealthRegen, Power Regen, Mitigation, Avoidance, Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intelligence, Wisdom, Attack, Haste, DPS, MeleeDA, RangedDA, MeleeCrit, SpellCrit, HealCrit, MeleeMod, SpellMod, HealMod, HateMod, CastSpeed, RunSpeed, Time, FPS, Coin, Status, Weight, XP, Debt, AAXP, TSXP The config file has also had a small change with a "Default" value that you can switch between True or False. This makes all stats have a default value of visible or not visible so that you only have to define stats that you want to show or hide. Enjoy. :) |
I didnt read all the posts but i was just curious, is it possible to get it to flip sides? I tend to like my Player Info on the Left and Mob on the Right, this seems to be Player Right and Mob Left? or am i reading it wrong?

I shall have my UI pieces updated earliest by tomorrow morning. Today is my belated birthday party :p
Enjoy the new expansion all. |
Belated happy birthday Drumstix. :nana:

First off let me start by saying I am using your persona window and I'm very impressed. I like the layout and the compact yet informative nature of it.
Now I've searched all over and maybe I am missing the solution. My +melee, +spell, +heal, ranged DA, melee AE, and Hate mod entries are bugged and show up as 100. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? |

Let me know if it's changed/working now. |
Got it figured out actually. It only took me inspecting the code for a bunch of UI files to figure it out. My UI, and my fiances UI on her system both had the eq2ui_gamedata.xml inside our custom UI folder. The file itself was about a year old, so any changes they made to the game to allow more stats to be viewable weren't carried over.
No idea how the files got in there, maybe a badly packaged UI file we downloaded a long time ago. Thank you for your help though :) |
Glad you figured it out. I didn't think it was anything wrong the Persona mod.
Enjoy :) |
Hi there. Love your mods. Used several of them over the years. Currently I am using this Bags one. I have a problem though, and please excuse my ignorance of how to fix it.
I have 7 toons, and as I switch between them to do Frostfell crafting etc, the windows keep resizing themselves and moving about the main game window when I have both Bags and Bank open. It is usually the Bank ones that move and change from size 32 to 42. :( Can you help me, please? I know the problem is not your mod, that something is not quite right in my set up, but this is my only error. I am at a loss how to correct this. Many thanks again for the great mods, Kittsune, Splitpaw server. |
If it isn't too much trouble, one addition you could make the the tradeskill window would be to make the drop-down box for your filters a little longer, maybe 50-75% bigger. I don't know about everyone else, but I keep a filter for each tier, and on top of that, one for new TSO recepies, transmuting, tinkering, etc, and the scrollbar is a little annoying to fidget with when doing some heavy tradeskilling =) Thanks

http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=11090 Bags have been giving troubles since the game came out, and older UI Settings files can cause troubles. What I try to do is get one of my characters working completely, and be sure that their setup works after logging in and out. Then I use those same uisettings for all my other toons. Quote:

I am not 100% on this, but i am pretty sure gm9 made the dropdown boxes bigger in the broker window.
|
Yes, also in EQ2MAP, too much scrolling with all our maps at the default size. You can control the lenght of a dropdown by adding this parameter to the dropdown: DropBy="400". You can use any integer value you like, it can also be longer than the parent window.
|
Thanks gm9, I added DropBy="600" myself and it works perfectly. Now to add it to every other dropdown in the game, LMAO

EDIT: I had to use the 2nd method - Rename "Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini" to something like "Servername_CharacterNameBACKUP_EQ2_uisettings.ini" because several of my toons had no entry at all in the view> window, not even my original Assassin toon! Now it is fixed, but none of the toons have any entries at all in the View > Windows which is kinda wierd. Thank you again. |

Your Quest Journal
sorry i didnt see if you had made a comment about this yet, but any idea as to when you might be adding the new collectible quest sorting stuff tot he journal window? :)
(and will you ever be making just a super simple only a journal, journal window without the added info stuffs?) |
Quote:
Originally my journal didn't have the extra tabs. I will for now on include a separate, alternative journal XML file in the zip for using the journal without all the extra tabs. Thanks for the suggestion :) |

Tradeskill window
my girlfriend doesnt have an account here, but she does hav a request(im the guy who puts together our UI :))
on the Tradeskill window, in the part that shows up during crafting, is there anyway to put the four bars viertically off to the side or something? (she appearantly REALLY hates having the 4 seperated progress bars horizontal) sorry :) |
haha. Yeah someone else requested there just be one bar, or one set I should say.
There's a good reason for there being 4, as you need to get to the last one to get the pristine. But for some things, like tinkering I think? You only need to make the first one to get a skill-up. I forget... Anywho, I'm soon gonna be revamping my whole tradeskill window... |

__ __ __ __ as opposed to __ __ __ __ make sense? |
Ah, I see. That's more like the default Tradeskill. I think most prefer not to have extra space taken up by the vertical stacked bars. My best advice is try to get used to it :)
|
well actually, the vertically stacked wouldnt take up any extra space on your current mod if you moved it like so (i have no idea how to do this, so im giving ideas)
..__...........................__ ..__..-----..................__ ..__.123456..........123..__..456 ..__...........................__ ...............................---- two ideas (first one is probably easier, course, i dunno how to do this so i could be wrong LOL) Basically, ___ is the default style stacky type thingies, where ---- is the overall progress and of course, the numbers are the buttons course, if you say no, she can deal with it :) {[Ignore the . they are there to keep the format of my rather goofy ASCII art :P]} |
