Ok I think I got it, but...

I am not sure everything is correct. Someone posted a pic of their UI on the first page, I take it that was this UI right? Anyways, mine does not look like that. First off, when I first logged in everything was pretty much on top of each other and I have two black areas one on top and one on bottom, almost like when you are watching a widescreen movie. Is that supposed to be like that? I take it from the pic on the first page of this thread that all the stuff is supposed to fit up there, but mine does not.

The hotbuttons are the same size as on the default UI. Thought those were a lot smaller here. Can anyone post a pic of thiers so maybe I can figure out how to configure this all?

Also, my resolution is 1024 X 768 64. I have a kind of crap graphics card so don't think it will support much more. Thanx for all your help so far and it looks awesome so far, if I can get everything to fit where it should lol.

Okay, I got it all working correctly I think now. Awesome job!!! There is only one request I have, or maybe it is just mine, but the small box that pops up when you target things, the one that fits perfectly above the bar that shows the process of casting spells, it won't go all the way to the top of the screen. All the other boxes will but that one will not. If we could get that one to go to the top you could move the other box up top and fit that one right where it goes and the whole top will flow together. It seems like all the boxes are supposed to fit together because the lines fit perfect, and if you had it all on the bottom they would, but then it doesn't look as good. Anyone else have that problem? Other than that awesome job!!!

Love this UI but where can i find achievments other than that keep up the wonderful work

Not sure what box you are talking about? The target window? If so it is tucked away under the transparent part of the start window. You will need to move the start window in order to get a hook on it to move it. If you are not referring to the target window I just don't know what window you are talking about.

Hello. I asked this before but any idea what is causing this error on the control panel?

"A fatal error was encountered while accessing sb_buttoms.xml
Cause: Possiblefile Corruption. ErrorCode: 202:203"
after I hit okay, the CP exits.

Is this on my side? Any idea what the prob is/ or what is causing it?

I just redownloaded the install file and re installed. It asked if I would like to make extreme ui my default UI. When I pressed yes that is when this error happens. Is there a way to manually make extremeui my default ui so I can use and test it out?

You need to delete that file first. Being it is a user file (saves user settings) the AUCP only makes sure you have the file, if you do it ignores it from then on. SO being it's telling you that the file is corrupted, I'd start by deleting your current one and letting the updater redownload a new one.

Okay thanks, I will try that next time I am about to fire up EQII. I will post my results afterwards to let ya know if that worked. Thanks for the response. I just got my copy of Oblivion and just installed so going to try that out! Thanks again.

Hi Landiin,

2 things with regards to the CP.

1) When you get the message that there are foreign files that will be moved, you get an error (when you click 'Yes') that it can't move the file due to the fact that the file already exists. My suggestion: have the CP overwrite those files in the 'Foreign Files' folder or whatever it's called.

2) And this is just a suggestion: when you click the button to play EQ2 (or if you have the autoplay option checked in settings), you should have the CP close so it's not running in the background and so people don't have to Alt+Enter from full screen mode to close the CP if they forget to close it after the patcher launches.

Not sure if you havn't noticed there is a nifty little tool that allows you to que up music and control it from in-game. That is why it does not auto shut-down.

Didn't notice...probably because I've never been able to get that function to work while I'm in-game. Where is that feature in the UI?

First two pet buttons showing, but not working

nice job on the UI; the Sony one was driving me nuts.

Re:the pet window, this still has some issues. The window is showing, as are the buttons. However, the first two buttons, including "Attack," do nothing when you click on them. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, because the other buttons depress correctly.

got a little problem with my maintened-spell-window!

When the spell-line is full and i do another spell, dot of buff,
the icons in the row get smaller so there´s more space for another spellicons.
But the new icon isnt visible in the line only 12 maintened Spells visible.
So i can't interrupt a spell, when needed.

Any idea for solution?

Hmm they must not be auto sizing now or hmm. I'll look into it. You can always pres esc to stop the current spell or jump.

Check out some of the tabs in the CP, it is really straight forward

Its still acting wierd. I just think my XP install is bunked. I am reformatting in a day or so and will try it again after that. Im thinking that will clear the problems because everyone else seems to be using the CP/UI fine.

I deleted the sb_buttons file and it didnt do anything.

ok, i cant even download it correctly, something's extremely wrong, i just open it up after i've saved to desktop, and download or whatever, then either it doesn't open, or after i open EQ2, the UI isn't even up. :confused:

also, i tried to delete the UI folder so i could reinstall it so its correct, but it says access denied lol

What does it do when you run the installer?

It should ask you for the EQ2 root directory or the correct LP_REGION_??_?? if you did a non U.S. install.

It will then download the AUCP and run it. ( IF you don't run the AUCP you will not get to use the UI.) Once the AUCP starts it will start downloading the entire UI. ( again the update has to complete before you can use the UI)

Once the update is complete it will check to see if eXtreme is you default UI. If it is not it will ask if you want to set eXtreme to your default UI. ( if you don't click yes you will not get to use the UI unless you use loadui.)

Once that is done you need to head to settings->advanced Option and select your user uisettings.ini file and then select a res. ( The res you play in is more then likely not there, just pick a close one) Make sure save settings is checked then click ok.

Now you are ready to play, click the play eq2 button of close out of the AUCP and start eq2 how ever you want.

Note *IF* the res you play in wasn't listed then your screen will prob look nothing like the posted pic. You will have to move some windows into place to get it to match the pic.

k, well i will do that, but the only thing is, when i tried to delete and reinstall it, my computer wont let me delete one folder in it for some strange reason, so i really cant reinstall it so it will work
