Thanks diz, I tried to supply every bit of info I could with little effert needed to see it. I'm a min/max'er myself so having every thing out there helps:)

Now about the time and date; Load up the game and look at your screen closer. Game and RL time and date are there. If your inventory slots/bags are showing in the inventory then you can't see it.

They are just above the zone name.

Once again you show your skill. Hats off to you brother. Now if only I could get my skill with eq2map in par with yours here.

My Aucp says that eXtreme is not my default UI and that i should go to settings and fix it, what is it that im supposed to do? Can someone pls help?

Same here. When I click go to settings nothing happens. When I try and pick the settings option from under the AUCP menu, nothing happens. When I load the game, it's using the default crappy UI.

It should open the settings window when you click yes set it to default. In the event that it does not; Click the main menu item AUCP->Settings. When that window opens Click on client config and then under the eq2.ini group click on the default button, then the save button. This should set eXtreme as the default ui. If it does not let me know.

Figured it out. It's opening off the screen, you have to be in 1600 x 1200 resolution or you won't see the setting menu.

Also, you might spell receiving correctly on the updater next time you patch it. :)

Hmm, I'll have to go back and look at the code, it should open up screen center.

I can't seem to use the brokers... it said my UI isn't supported any help?

Hmm, I'm guessing you don't have the market excluded from being updated? It was working the last I used it. I've been on test for a bet, so I'll switch to live and see whats going on.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but now that I have the interface all shiny for my berzerker, is there an easy way to copy that to my other toons so I don't have to drag everything around and arrange it all again? Because I just logged in with a couple alts and it's all in the default locations for them. Thanks. :)

Actually, you can delete (or move) the character's UI ini file located in the EQ2 folder that you want to change. When you log in as that character, it will ask you where to get it's settings from and you can select the character that you have all set up.

Or use the command /load_uisettings

I'm having the most difficult time finding how to show the 'pet control bar'. I tried searching the forum tried a lot of things in game but nothing helped.

Its really anoying not to be able to show this control bar, my pet is pretty useless without it.

Can someone tell me how to get this bar visible.

Can now longer use UI
 

Since the update on the 23rd I have alot of black rectangles on various parts of my screen, and as soon as i try to move, I get booted out of the game, and back to the desktop.

Anybody have any ideas?

Are you on EQ2 Test or EQ2 Live? I've been on test getting ready for the new way they are doing Icon volumes so haven't looked at live this week.

No one else has reported issues on live and with the changes on Test you will most likely get black box's.

Overlapping Problem
 

Hi Landiin,

I'm having a problem with the XP area of the UI. I've added a screenshot so you can see what I mean. I've opened it up in an editor and saw some '##' and '&apos' throughout some of the lines. Not sure if that's where the problems are.

I've deleted the file and ran the AUCP again with no change, also.

OMG! I thought I fixed that ugly bug:P To much going on, my head is spinning lol

Any way, just use the exp rotater (is that a word) button and rotate it back to combat exp and it will fix it self. Btw the exp rotater is the left arrow button just the the right of the exp bar:P

I was on the live server.

I finally had it to a full scan, and now it's working.

I guess it didn't update quiet right Monday.

I am having problems when running on 1280x1024 screen. The UI is not fitted to this resolution even if I choose it under settings... It seems like it´s choosing the 1600x1200 or something, which I cannot run on my LCD screen...

I can ofc live with the 1024x760 fitted version in my 1280x1024 screen, but it´s a bit small and I have to rearrange all windows myself..

I'll look at the 1280x1024 setting, it is quite possible that I copied and renamed the wrong settings file.

I would like to say that I have been using your UI for awhile now, and I love it so much that if I did not have it, I would prolly quit playing EQ2.

I have issues with trying to get my notes to show ingame. I have tried everything I could think of, so as a last resort I came here.

Make sure you have aucp_Notes.xml added to your exclude list or the updater will overwrite it and all your info will be gone.

Just installed this tonight to check it out. Sorry if this has been brought up before(but it's very late and reading through 70 pages isn't gonna happen).

I've noticed, at least on mine, that the effects area used in the target window jumps around. The effects bounce up and down inside of it.

Anyone else experienced this? If so, where you able to correct the problem?

Yea it does that some. There isn't any thing I can really do to fix it as my code fights SOE's hard coding for the placement of the effects.

Come LU29 if the changes go live, the current targeting system extreme uses will be gone. The way they are doing the effects now, leaves no way to alter where their hard code places the window. So I'm hard at work trying to find a place for the target and implied that fits the flow of the UI.

MysticWIz, you are going to have to post more information or a screen shot. "Most of my screen is missing" can mean 1 of a 100 deferent things.

Gettin kicked back to char select durin zones
 

I had the same problem, although i like the UI i seem to be kicked back to the character select screen everytime i zone then i cant get back into the game without restarting eq2. so i tried the uninstall and tried to play and it crashed so i reinstalled and now i am stuck with having to restart eq2 and its drivin me insane!

I'm just not understanding how uninstalling eXtreme will cause your game to crash. It doesn't touch any game file, even if it did, it would get patched when you ran the game normally. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying your imagining this but I just can't grasp how it could cause it.

I've installed and installed what has to be 100 time trying to recreate the issue you guys are talking about but it never happens.

I've found that if I play the game by bypassing the launchpad either directory or via AUCP I'll get booted to char select more ofter then if I use the launchpad, either directly or via the AUCP. I'm guessing it is due to not having a cookie of you login/password from the launchpad. But that's just me guessing.

Both, doesnt happen everytime i zone but after i start playing and zone a couple of times i get kicked back to the char select screen and for some reason it wont let me zone back in until i launch eq2 again. This UI is superb if only i could figure this out thanks LAND

I haven't read back much but am curious. Will extreme be EoF ready at release? I been in beta for a while and no Extreme makes baby jesus cry.

I love your UI and everything you did with it and really don't like the idea of not playing eq2 till it's updated as I hate, hate, hate the default ui. :D

How much system ram are you playing with? As much as I hate to admit it eXtreme uses more memory they most other UI's because of the "dashboard" graphics. I've noticed this if I take out a stick of memory and play with 1G or less. Hopefully with EoF release it will relieve some of these issues as I have pretty much rebuild eXtreme from the ground up.

Just a heads up, at around 0750 CST (-6 GMT) the AUCP will start pulling LU29/EoF files. It is STRONGLY recommended that you go and delete all foreign files. Unless you know 100% sure foreign files work with LU29/EoF you need to removed them.

Tracking and Esc
 

IS there a way to make the tracking window not close on "ESC"? I tend to close windows at random with esc, and keep loosing my tracking window that way. If there is a line I need to add please let me know.. I have no problem doing the mod, just don't understand the XML enough to figure it out on my own.

I think the only way to do this is in options but it would apply to all windows and not just the tracking window.

There may be some property one can set in the XML file to stop it but I can't think of one. I'll do some digging and see.
