Unfortunatly I don't have any extra listings in the extreme folder and it's running off the one from the main but using the extreme frames and only showing single digits. Is there anychance that this happens to anyone else and if so is there a fix for this. Granted it's trivial but still a function I like to see and really wouldn't want to have to swap to the basic UI just to see a lotto window.

Phoenix69 can you post a screen shot? Mine works find and this is the 1st I've heard of it. If the file eq2ui_mainhud_loto.xml isn't in the extreme directory witch it shouldn't be then you are using the default loto window.

Now that I've started playing regular again and started over as a Troub ( I figure SOE will not be nerfing them for a while) and am tracking 99% of time. I just had to fix that window lol. Here is a SS of it. The SS is of it in the default UI but rest assure it'll be eXtreme'ed when you get it:) I do all my window mods in Default for compatibility reasons.



There are two modes; one is the normal looking tracking mode. The other takes away all the junk except for the tracking list and makes the list as big as the window. I also made the font smaller so more could fit into the list. Hope you like, let me know if you other trackers think of something needed. ( no /who :( I just can't be done, I've tried lol )

DirectX error causing EQ2 to crash
 

I just now loaded up eXtremeUI with AU about 10 minutes ago and as I was logging into the game I got this fatal error:

I noticed you had also just added the new tracking window and may have been downloading the UI and AU files at the same time you were making the updates. Could this have caused it?

It's possible but I doubt it. If a UI file is fried it normally either won't load of jumbles up the Your display in a wacky way.

Some questions to help me help u:

1. Do you get this error when ever you try to run the game now?
2. Have you tried running the AUCP to insure you do have all good files and the game still gives this error?

From the looks for the error code EQ2 gave you, it just choked on it self. Try rerunning EQ2 if you haven't it's a good chance it'll just load right in. If not run the AUCP and then try.

Let me know if you get it going or not.

1 - No, I never got or get this error using any other UI.
2 - Yes, I re-downloaded the entire package and ran the AU setup again. Loaded right up like stated. :)

After a few minutes rearranging windows to fit 1280 x 1024 res, I have only 1 questions left...there is a blank grey box that appeared in the lower right corner. What is it? I've right-clicked and got nothing so my first assumption is it's just a filler image?

I didn't mean with other UI's sorry for not being more clear, but it's working for you now and thats what matters:)

The blank grey box is the back drop for the hotbar's when they are placed in the lower right. That window is really the maintained window just gutted, so you can use the short cut key combo to make it go away.

Heya AWESOME UI btw, I just have a tiny little suggestion. I was wondering if there is a way to put a maximize and minimize button on the items window (you know the one on the top middle with all the items), so i can get the old EQ2 Inventory window (slightly Extreem'ed o'course), and when i want your Item window back i just press the minimize button. I say this cuz i kinda like looking at my char every once an a while and also its easier to move stuff around for me at least.

I have ABSOLUTLY NO CLUE on how UI's are made i dont even know its possible but hey, whats the worst that can happen? you tell me "stfu u NOOB im not gonna do it!!" LOL :D

OMG Shadow your so vain!!! lol. That middle window is the inventory window. The best I could do is add a button that would open up a window so you could marvel at your self. You can't really have two inventory windows and Booth function. The inventory is 99% hard coded and all we can do is move things around. Now STFU and go exp:)

Did you by chance set up you toon to a matching uisettings.ini.

Main Menu->AUPC-Settings, UI->client settings.

I d/l your UI tonight. A lot of features I enjoy so far. I spent about an hour moving things around and putting stuff where I wanted it. Then I wanted to have this set up that I just created affect my other 9 toons (as I have 10). So I went into the settings and went to CharUIsetting Conf thinking that I could pick the toon's uisettings and make my eq2 use that config. I soon found out that's not really what this option is for and it turned what I had made into your default custom ui settings. I did click on the back up file button in this same window. So I guess my question is...is there a file somewhere saved of what I spent an hour doing, if so how can I get it and load that one again. And if so (or if not and I have to do it over again) is there a way to have my other 9 toons load up in my personally made UI interface (just where I have moved stuff) so I don't have to do this individually for all my other toons? Thanks for your time!

It's suppose to save a back up file with .bak but hmm I just tested it being you said you couldn't find it and it's not creating this file. Gonna have to get out the code and see whats going on.

The reason there isn't a copy is because there is a command in game that does just that; /load_uisettings.

Ok, so if I redo what I did on one of my toons, if I load the rest I just do /load_uisettings and it will let me use one of the settings made from another toon? If so this will work just fine....

Correct, It'll pop open a window with a list of all your toons uisettings and you can pick what ever one you want to use. Keep in mind that this copies that toons settings to the one you are on. So any changes you make to ether toon will not carry over to the others.

Why no 1600x1200?

Because my monitor will not go that high so I can make one.

Just use 1600X1024 every thing will be 99% into place and you'll just have to make small adjustments.

hows about 1440x900. i just obugbht a new 19 inch wide screen for under 200 bucks so im gonna need some adjustments hehehe

There is a 1424x768 or 1480x960 that will get you super close and only need miner adjustments.

I love the UI so far, except for a small problem. Everything looks like it does on your screenshot, except that there is no chat window in the lower left hand corner. There's a big blank black spot. Right clicking doesn't give the options of unlocking the window. Any ideas what's up?

EDIT: I fiddled around and found a fix myself - just thought I'd post it in case others had the same issue. All I did was right click on the chat window I could see, and select "Open existing chat window" and the other one popped up right where it should be.

would love to see added a module i have seem some use where it reports player stats and group displaying attack and damage results. any chance of seeing this added to extreme, btw love it this is the beat ui interface yet

Problems after install/un-install
 

I installed eXtrmeme and didn't care for it.. I un-installed using the option you provided now EQ crashes during the game. I am getting errors and blue screens. :(

Any thoughts?

I don't see how that is possible being it's only a UI being the only thing the uninstaller does is remove the eXtreme directory's and the eq2.ini file from the main EverQuestII directory. If eq2.ini didn't get removed, remove it and see if that works.

Have you patched after uninstalling eXtreme? If not patch the game. Have you tried rebooting after installing? It shouldn't be needed but every one has their own comp configured differently.

eXtreme, the AUCP, installer or uninstaller does not touch the game code at all. It only modifies the eXtremeUI and/or EQ2MAP with in the eXtremeUI. Removing eq2.ini will hold the game from using any ui but default.

When reporting something like this it's normally a good idea to post what you have tried to fix it, so the author can better assist you with your issues.

With all that said, what was it you didn't care for if I may ask?

I had planned on adding something like that to the AUCP but then I started playing again. So all of my dev time is being taken up by play time:/ When I hit 70 ( 46 ATM ) I'll have more time to for the AUCP.

Landiin, I will contact you with all the steps that I did for install and un-install/testing.

game crashing after LU 27
 

Even tho eq says they only changed one file eq_mainhud_guild... the game crashes upon trying to start up the custom UI. eq_mainhud_guild isnt even in the extreme file list so you cant remove it and use default. Also tried adding a default copy of that file into the extreme folder and that didnt work. Only way to access the game at all is to go back to default UI. Apparently this is a wide problem affecting most if not all custim UI's after this LU 27. So thought I would bring this up so you genuises can figure it out. I am lost without my extreme UI hehe. thanks.

I too had the same problem. Had to switch to the default UI.....OMG THE HORROR!!!!

just delete inventory_inventory.xml and it works and wait for him to put out a non crashing fix

eXtreme is now LU27 ready! Run the aucp to get the most current file(s).

I can't get an item out of overflow now :/

Also, can't use or examine items in Inventory. I assume this was a quick fix since SoE Loves to Not give a specific date for updates so programmers are ready.

Keep up the great work... almost entire guild is now hooked on this.

Everything else works fine though.

Power and Health Regen Labels

Not sure if you have noticed this but it seems the code or the labels in the information center got swapped, The HPr is showing power regen and the other one is showing health regen.

HP-bar colors and tab-scrolling issues.
 

First of all I must say this; awesome UI Landiin, 5 stars in my book!

However, I have noticed a minor but quite irritating problem. When I switch characters in-game the background colors on the target hp-bar, your character's hp-bar, and pets hp-bar all turn either just green or just red instead of ranging from green to red. The text is still there but it gets very hard to read it.

Also noticed that when using the tabbed chat windows and have scrolled the tab furthest to the left out of view and then go back only part of the tab will be visible. Sometimes I only see the very right edge of it and it's refusing to scroll any more to the left.

If you scroll back through the 60+ pages you will see this issue has been brought up multiple times, (but I don't blame you for not looking through the 60+ pages).

These are both SOE issues and Landiin can't do anything about them, but you can. Every time you experience these issues /bug them, this is the squeaky wheel principle and maybe, just maybe it will get fixed.

I fixed this by unlocking the window, stretching it a bit left or right then putting it back to the original size and relocking the window. Everything fell back into place. This worked even when I detached a tab or re-ordered them.
