lost a bar
 
I am new to EQ..that said, I am not new to mods.I have modded others and installed them.

There 'was' a long info bar, had my money listed on there. It was there when I first loaded the UI and I moved it to the bottom of my screen.My game ,for some odd reason, went into a windows mode( where I can see the taskbar)..And the bar went missing. I found the toggle for full-screen again...but no bar. ANy ideas on getting it back?

Is there a reason my UI does not look like the one pictured? Is it becouse my character is in the noob area?

Actually, this is from a scratch install, wiht the posted combo patch from the DL page.

There is simply no "P" button to be found no matter how I resize it or reinstall.

Whats the actual "load" command - like /showindow whateveritsbasedon.custom_bar or something liek that?

I can toss that into a macro. Just coming back form a 3 month hiatus and a bit disappointed that the UI hasnt kep up. I was hoping people would donate some $$ to Zonk like I did so he could update a bit more often.

Also, woudl it be possible to get the "maintained with target adn timer" made at least an option to this mod? I add it in, but it uses some funky fonts since its so old - but as a coercer, I live and die by my spell timers.

Awesome stuff Zonx!!! Glad to see the update... And now, I personally am waiting for the "real" version of the FetishClassic interface. But I can make due for now, as I have done some modding of my own and gotten most everything to look "Classic-ified" except for the text coloring, which I'm not really worried about, and will wait patiently for the Official release :) .

It's my persona bar that is missing. I tried to make a new character and direct the UI from that one...the new character had the persona bar, but when I typed in load_uisettings, and clicked on the new alt's' UI it did not add it..it did move the other UI bars to where the alt's' were BUT not add the persona bar back in.

I D/L just the persona bar..would it make a differance to un-install it, run the game ,let it save without it..then re-install just the persona bar??

EQ2 Maps Issue
 
First, I have to say this is my first UI and I think its incredible, this is what EQ2 *should* have looked like! Thank you!

This may be an EQ2 maps issue rather than a Fetish issue, but lately (seemingly since the last update) my EQ2 maps has been on the fritz.

When I say fritz, I mean I will be running around a zone (its happened in both Feerott and Rivervale) and all of a sudden the map will refresh and I will be in a completely different location on the map. So in Feerott I was running towards CT the map crossed over and I saw the right side of the map, then it refreshed and it showed me on the left side of the map. The same thing happened to me in Rivervale.

Anyone else seeing this issue, or have a fix?

Chumba, other than an issue with saving custom keyboard layouts and a recently added Journal tag for category, the UI is up-to-date. You shouldn't need to install any patches, probably what's hosing your Persona window.

elfwanderer, open the Persona window and press the "P" button in the titlebar.

wintermute218, known issue with the View Any Map plugin and multi-map zones. To resolve the issue, select the correct map from the menues and press the "S" button. Avoid crossing map swap lines with the map window open.

Got me an updated copy of the Advanced Combat Tracker, and what do you know - it's already got an option "Export EQ2 compatible HTML to view in-game". Then all you got to do is /show_window Inventory.HTML - which is most easily done, I believe, by creating a macro for it.

sry for late reply but ya zonx, i was using dds plugin from nvidia to test it... and actually i was just messing with the default ui that i copied to a diff directory instead of using yours just to make things simple hehe.

While I'm here one more question
 
I have the milqetowst info center as a macro in my hotbar, and I read that it can be accessed by the ? on many of the windows, but it seems my windows just bring up other details, like on my inventory menu it brings up a list of harevests. Did i miss something in the documention or am I not understanding something?

Stat Bar
 
Well, I reinstalled multiple times and I still can't seem to find my stat bar. It was visible when I installed, i went LD and now it's gone. For clarification purposes, this bar is the one that showed my HP, stats, resists, everything.

Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: It's the persona bar.

Edit2: When I load, it shows the default layout, but then goes to my current. I see the bar there, but now when it's done loading.

Also, I downloaded the persona bar patch and had no effect.

Edit3: Just tried Alt-P. That didn't work either. Found that in some screenshot.

Any ideas would be great.

Edit4: I tried editing changing a setting to this as stated in the .doc:
OnHide="visible=true" PackLocation="left,top"

Didn't fix my problem.

alt+P brings up the Persona window, in the top left hand corner there is an icon with a 'P' in, clicking that that brings up your persona bar.

EQ2 Maps - No Map Display
 
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix the EQ2 Maps problem I'm having. In some zones, not all I get no map just white back ground with all the POI's.

Blank maps likely means you didn't install and update EQ2Maps prior to extracting the Fetish zip. At this point you should run the EQ2Maps updater, then rextract the Fetish zip to the same directory, overwriting all files when prompted.

having a slight issue with being a healer and when i mouse click on a group member from the group bar the spell cures goes off. i was wondering is there a way i can stop that from occuring.

disregard, i found out the problem..the windows upoens with "ddd" in the search field, problem was i didn't realize that was a place you could even type since it doesn't look like one. /slap forehead

Preparing for LU24
 
Anyone know which files we'll have to rename/remove in order to be able to use the new vendoring system in LU24?

Any help would be appreciated.

The patch just went live. I wont have time to address the broker issues for 24-48 hrs and have not had time yet to see what all is broken.

My guess is you'll need to trash

eq2ui_inventory_market.xml
eq2ui_inventory_store.xml

maybe eq2ui_inventory_merchant.xml

Also check for new/removed include lines in the following files:
eq2ui_mainhud.xml
eq2ui_inventory.xml

If AAs were added to the game, eq2ui_mainhud_skills.xml may also need trashing to access them.

From what I can see, nothing new was added to either mainhud or inventory, nor was the merchant menu changed (that I can see).

The only ones affected appear to be
eq2ui_inventory_market.xml
eq2ui_inventory_store.xml

I'm guessing _store.xml is obsolete, as it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. It's still included so should be best to delete that as well.

According to the notes from the patcher, only the following UI files were moddified:

eq2ui_gamedata.xml
eq2ui_inventory_market.xml
eq2ui_journals_active.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_effects.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml

Mainhud lost a line - eq2ui_mainhud_society.xml has been removed.

eq2ui_inventory_market.xml is a given. I don't think store changed, but I may be missing something.

eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml has some new actiondata and is set not to scroll around.

eq2ui_mainhud_effects.xml is set not to be userscrollable, no other changes I can see.

eq2ui_journals_quest.xml gained a good chunk of code, so did eq2ui_journals_active.xml

And I think that's pretty much it.

I'm just going to rename eq2ui_inventory_market.xml and wait for Zonx to bring the changes to the other files to Fetish in the next update.

Making the Personabar stay there
 
Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the 'normal' operation or not, but my personabar disappears every time I logout. I know how to get it back up, but is there a way to make it stay there so I don't have to keep pressing the 'P' button every time I login?

Aye Gumba, mainhud lost the line but keeping it has no negative effect.

Store didn't change in any way that I could detect, and it wasn't mentioned in the update notes.

What you've said is pretty much all that needs to be done to make Fetish LU24 workable... just deleting eq2ui_inventory_market.xml

When you redo the market window can you please, please, please get rid of the awful popup advanced search window and keep the options on the normal window.

Keeping your 3 sets of drop down saved searches as well would be amazing. i know SOE added the saved search option but it is just one list and with the number of searches i have saved it would be unmanageably long.

Strange XP reporting
 
Last night I experienced a fluctuation in XP (soloing with no xp buffs other than standrad double for vitality and no death penalty). At first I thought I was going a bit madder than usual as it seemed to me that the figures dropped then jumped forward again. I started keep a record and received the following reported XP in chronological order (using Fetish with the maps and without the partial update)

95.1%, 95.8%, 95.7%, 96.6%, 96.1%, 97.6%, 97.2%
These appeared in both the XP bar and in the persona window. At this point I removed equi_mainhu_exp from the UI to restore the default XP bar

Fluctuations still reported in Fetish Persona window as

98.5%, 98.9%, 98.4%, 99.7%

At 99.7% going from lvl 31 to 32 I killed a lvl 31 mob - and didn't level.

Reported XP in Persona window dropped to 99.1% and I levelled on the next kill to 0.2%

Am unsure if this is just an XP reporting differernce in fetish since the LU#24 or if it is something within game. Have submitted a /bug report for SOE to check using default interface screenshots as it was also happening on an alt.

About to install the LU#24 partial patch for Fetish - will report back if this is still ocurring but the mainhud_exp file doesn't appear to be in the current patch anyway. Have yet to test tradeskills, will hopefully get to that today.

I have been using Fetish for a while and only experienced this since LU#24

seems that a lot of XP mods are having problems, looks like there might be a problem with the data that the game is sending to the client since LU24. Hopefully SoE will get to fixing it soon :)

You are not alone in this. The same thing happened to my sweety last night in the tradeskill dungeon. He had 100.8% exp and it did not ding him till the next combine.

This would be nice, but I don't know if it can be done the way SoE has the new broker window setup. I would personally like to see the broker window resizable if possible. I am currently using the patch someone was nice enough to put out but it isn't resizable and I can only see 2 of my items at a time to price before having to scroll, and when buying stuff, can only see I think 3 items at a time and 5 items to a page, something like that. Nothing like what we used to be able to see when setting prices or browsing the market hehe.

Just my 2 cents worth :P

personally i would like to see 3 variations
1 being just the skinned window like the default
2 being the removed popup and having it like the older version prior to the update with everything on the front
3 being a sorta combo of the things on the front with the saved searches option

i do think that with the new functionality of the save searches the lists that we had before would not require editing outside the game . if this is the case we just need to see how many saves are possible ( if enough are then we wouldnt even need the old lists dropdown menus)

it would be nice to have customizable saved lists though so we can have 3 dropdown menues of saved lists

I absolutely despise the new selling format. Having to right click an item, select search, click to sort by price, go back to the sell tab, and then finally set the price takes easily twice as long as it used to.

Zonx if there is any way you can improve upon this system PLEASE do...

FYI, I've seen the same issue with the guild XP numbers. This appears to be caused by rounding placed on the major XP bars. Its quite possible SOE has implemented rounding on all the XP bars.

For those that care, here's the technical details of how the XP bars work.

The whole number is derived from the major XP bar which was returning a trimmed value with no rounding. So 78.9 would report as 78. If SOE has implemented rounding on the major bar, 78.9 will report as 79.

The decimal number is derived from the minor bar which reports the first whole didget and one decimal place. So 78.9 reports as 89. The first diget is cropped by the mod and sandwitched together with the first field.

When combined without roounding 78.9 will appear as 78.9. With rounding it appears as 79.9. 79.1 will appear as 79.1. And that's where we'll see what looks like a drop in XP.

At any rate, nothing was changed in any UI files containing XP bars. There's no need to remove anything unless you'd rather have no numbers than numbers with a minor rounding problem.

I have uploaded a preliminary version of the Market window for FetishNightfall to the Add-on section. Here's the link.

Fully functional, resizable window with the standard tabbed and popup mechanisms. I uploaded this as an add-on intending it to remain a smaller alternative to what will become the Standard Market window.

My hope is to create a larger window that shows the Buy, Sell and Adv search info all at once. I also expect to add in my trusty fav menus ;)

I expect the final window to be about twice the width and a tad taller than this small version.

The upcoming release of the full set will also have a few bonus features added to other windows.

Recipe Book resizable?
 
Hello,
does someone know how the recipe window can be made resizable or how I can choose a smaller font size? Unfortunately I am not able to view which books I have already scribed :-)
