I Recommend you go back to Post 930 and start reading there. That is the location of the 4.73 patch and then on are all the discussions about what is or is not working properly and what Zonks is doing to fix it.

So, would I be able to just re-name it to a different plugin #, or am I basically SOL? :confused:

madlordofmilk, if its using slot 2 or 4 you'll need to rename the file and edit all references to its old name inside the file.

Any chance you can start working on them earlier? That way you can have a patch ready to go when it hits live. There's something always broken every LU now and it would be nice to have a working UI on patch day. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Well apparently all those changes went live today so I hope nothing was broken with LU15.

well yes it would be nice to have a working ui on patch day, but as zonx has said previously, the code they have on test is rarely the code they push to live. so doing all that work for something that will be broken anyway when it goes live seems rather pointless, now doesnt it. and for that matter, the default ui doesnt always work as intended when it hits live, how can you expect fetish to work perfectly?

there are a few options, use the default ui for a while, use a broken fetish for a while, or use a fetish that works fine with a few slight file modifications. which would you prefere?

btw, keep up the great work zonx. soe might as well hire you to do this ui full time.

FYI, todays patch had no negative affect on the Fetish sets. I'm working on a tweak to the Market window now and expect to have 4.8 for both Nightfall and Classic up tonight.

Note: SOE still has not fixed the guild window scroll issue.

Find It Bug
 

Bah, minor bug with the eq2ui_inventory_store.xml, it's restricting searches to your class and lvl. To fix, search for and delete..

Heyya Zonx. Great work, as always... is there some code I can delete to prevent the personabar from showing up by default? Seems to pop up if I mouse over the clock now, even after I close it.

Vandiin, the instructions in the .doc Customizations )> Personabar )> Closed by Default will also disable the mouseover open.

This was an unforseen side effect of adding the auto-open script to the Compass window. I may move it to another window in the future.

Ah, ok, thanks Zonx... I can't believe I missed that in the doc... I saw the persistent display portion and totally missed the closed by default right under it. :o (and I'm usually always a stickler about reading the instructions too... /doh)

Edit: Also, I wouldn't worry too much about moving it to a different window. Seems like a logical location for it to me.. works well for those that like it, and if people don't want it to show by default they can just remove those two lines.

Zonx did you change anything with the inventory? I could before downloading 4.8 hit escape and it would close my inventory, instead of having to hit the X in the bottm right to close it. Such is not the case anymore...

Couldn't find anything about it in the Customization notes.

zonx buddy when i go to do a search for players it won't let me use any of the filters only thing that works in the window is the search by zone or all zones the rest won't operate thanks :) for the great ui will look back for a fix

Like the above post, the player search window isn't working at all. I tried this and it did nothing. Other than this, everything seems to be working great. NICE JOB, once again!!

Compass Directions?
 

Has anybody noticed a problem with the compass? I am running the latest 4.8 load.

The problem happens with both the default circular and the optional rectanglular compass.

The compass shows an incorrect direction, when I compare it to the map. It seems to be "shifted" 1/8: I face N and it shows NNW. I face S and it shows SSE.

Aye, I think you're right. Mine is off about that much as well. Also, maybe I'm blind but I don't have any .doc with any kind of customizations for the Persona bar and to keep it closed by default.

Well: The Persona Bar starting showing up "open" when I installed 4.8 and I could not close it: The 'x' button would not do anything, nor did my "close top window" hotkey.

However: On the title bar of the Persona Window, there is a toggle to 'show/hide Persona Bar'. That did, in fact, hide the Persona Bar for me.

Hey zonx, just curius (havent tried running eq yet since 4.8) but i downloaded the way i normally do via saving to desktop then extracting to desktop then copying and pasting from desktop to the fetish folder. Which when doing so and checking the repace file yes to all option. Once done all the files that were pasted are then highlighted, but i noticed that several xml files were no. so made me wonder if i had them from another UI, so i opened one and looked through it, but it had fetish names in it. So im curious if these need to be deleted or not or if maybe ya forgot to add a few files to your 4.8.

The files that were not replaces with ones from 4.8 are:

_CSRV_eq2ui_mainhud_persona
_CRSV_eq2ui_mainhud_persona
_VRSC_eq2ui_mainhud_persona
_VSRC_eq2ui_mainhud_persona


any info on these would be great, and let me know if you need me to upload them for ya to view.

acutally zonx, im not having that problem...I havent found a bug with that file with or without that line of code....that line of code seems to be meaning less. So from my view wither you leave it in or take it out the file works just fine.


But, I did find a bug with the who window when doing a search. You will notice that in the attached file every thing is clickable but only one item you can enter text. the ones that do not have text in them in the pic are the broken ones. And also the other drop downs (class, race, allignment) are broken as ya see they are empty in the pic and darkened out.


Edit: also the search does not work when typin in a name

BAH ok one more bug....so far...

the close button on the persona bar does not work.

Edit: ok just noticed this but when you hit " i " to open your inventory it pops up the persona bar (only way to close it is to hit " P " then double click the persona bar button). and in options only the inventory is set to " i " for the hot button

Edit: heh ok hope this is the last one...quote from another post (which is tru for fetish also).

for some reasion when i'm running north my compas says west.... its like the magnetic north poll of norath has mysterious shifted 1/4 the way counter clockwise to the west side.

but its more like 1/8.

It seems to effect the "Find It" button, when running your store, so you can match prices. It defaults the "Find It" search to your class and level indeed, so you have to actually change the option to "ANY". Removing the line listed by Zonx fixes it though, so it defaults to ANY, when hitting "Find It".
Not sure what all it does with regular broker buying and searching though.
