Whiners is the exact reason I post rarely on forums, I just gleam what informaion I can and move on. This UI is the best I have seen and used, and Zonx is right there are no major issues at this time. Even when there had been issues in the past, someone usually posts a quick fix like recently so I can use that if necessary while I patiently wait for the official fix. I am just glad that the old saying "You get what you pay for" is not true with Zonx's UI, otherwise since we paid nothing we should get a substandard product. But instead we get the best.

I gotta admit.....Whiners and Crybabies go away there are plenty of ui's out there for peeps that just wanna complain,

Through all this game has been through this year already this is and always will be the best UI ever done!

Thanks Zonx for your passion in sharing with us something you created so we all can have a more personnal touch to our game experiance.......Really love this Ui and will use it till I drop!

If folks can't wait for Zonx to update the UI when he gets to it, then maybe they should use another UI. Hes not doing it for the money, hes doing it as a service to us. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth folks.

Personally, I love FetishUI. I also know how to use the default windows that are changed in a LU until a new release is out.

I mean come on. LU21 did nothing big with the UI, hardly warranting an official update when there were workarounds posted. LU22 did have some serious stuff but that was only a few days ago! Give him some time -- not everyone can or wants to drop everything to update a UI the instant a new LU goes live.

Zonx, gotta give you due respect...this UI is da bomb!!! I'll admit that I look forward to checking the site every few days for any updates and am somewhat disappointed when there isn't one, however, from personal experience I know that tweaking UI's is VERY time consuming.

If you just CANNOT live without something new that SOE has added to the UI, simply delete the Fetish version of the window and EQ will use the default. Either do that, OR sit down, open up UIBuilder (which SOE so generously included for free) and figure it out yourself (it's actually kinda fun once you get the hang of it).

Whiners quit complaining, the man has a life!!!! The changes that were make are not that big of a deal, and it does not affect game play. I would hate to see Zonx just quit altogether because of whinners. He has made this UI for everyone to use, on his OWN TIME and FREE to use at that! I have donate today and if you like this UI you should donate too! Zonx pls turn a deaf ear to these whinners, my hat goes off to you. I LOVE THIS UI and will use it (as said above) till I drop.... Kissing up to him is not much better. I considered the implementation of zone reuse timer window pretty major. And LU 22 was a BIG overhaul and yet lots of other ui writers are finished with their updates. I think it's reasonable to want an update after every LU at least. Now it's TWO Live updates later and he has STILL not got an update out. I think that's pretty ignorant of Zonx. I moved on to Vert Reborn but will go back to Fetish if he gets his act together and updates his ui. No I don't know how to change a few lines that's WHY I DO use a custom UI, someone has already done it for me. Demanding the users to fix YOUR UI is pretty silly to demand. Spare me the fanboyism please.

Yes, it is reasonable to WANT an update after every LU, but it is not reasonable to DEMAND one, as you have, for a product that you aren't even paying for and for a product that Zonx is effectively doing for free.

I think there is some heavy ignorance being displayed alright, but it is not from Zonx.

First of all how can you know wether I've paid or not? Some HAVE paid so that makes it even worse. They have paid for an UI that they barely can use soon since a lot of ui files have been updated. No I haven't paid. I may decide to pay if the ui actually gets updated more often but not before then.

Besides using the it's free argument won't work. Almost all UI's are free and most of them is at least LU 21 compatible and quite a lot LU 22.

I have donated also, but do not feel any right to DEMAND anything. I've been using this UI for almost a year before he even put the donation thing out there. The only piece I'm not using at the moment is the persona because of the zone timers and that's fine by me. If you don't want to use his UI because he doesn't kiss your ass, fine; but please don't come in here and insult the man. I'm going to be extremely pissed if he gives up altogether because a jackass came in here and pissed on everyone's parade. ALL the authors do this for a love of what they do. Not because of your sniveling. If manners is fanboyism, I'll take it any day. Grow up.

Zonx makes the best custom UI bar none. Some may have a better journal or a better inventory mode, but total package no one can compete with Fetish. That's pure praise for him and he deserves that. However he now accepts donations which DO put a bit more pressure on him and if he can't handle that when maybe he SHOULD stop. I hope he doesn't since I really don't want to change to any other ui for any longer period, but if he stops, no rain on my parade. I don't demand anything since I don't pay. However I offer to support him and will pay if he shows he's commited to his ui and will make updates as needed.

Btw would like if you could implement t7 rare harvests if you hover mouse pointer over ? in inventory. Would be nice but not essential.

Oh another thing I prefer a functioning but late ui before a buggy on time. So do take the time that is needed. I was really just trying to defend the critisizers:-)

I would like to extend my sincere apperciation for all the work you've done. Many of my guildies (myself included) consider your UI Mod the best avail. Period.

Thanks for all the effort you have put into this project. Please ignore all the whiners. They are are VAST minority in this.

I for one .... with all the chaos Ive gone thru recently ... understand very well how hard it is to resist jumping right into the game when you do get a bit of time at the computer ....

First off: Zonx, this UI is IT!! Periodically I change UI's to see what all the rest are doing...then I return to using the BEST!!

Secondly: I can't express in words the amount of appreciation that I feel towards you and the time that you've spent on this UI. If anyone ever took the time, that you have, to build a UI, and I tried, then they'd know how time-consuming this really is and they'd hush and go lay back down by their dish...

You rock! There is nothing else to say after that!

Please keep up the great work because your fan base IS still alive and kicking!!

Everything from the last 2 LUs has been incorporated on my end, just want to do a bit of testing and minor tweaks befor I ZIP and post it.

If someone could please post a list of the T7 harvestables, I'll add them to the inventory tooltip.

One question.. how can i activate on the persona bar? this is in my opinion one of the greatest features/windows of this ui but since the last update i can`t find it..

Man, I really don't understand you guys. How can you really be so rabid for this UI that you're willing to stick up for Zonx so? Here's a news flash:

FETISH HASN'T BEEN UPDATED FOR THE LAST 10% OF EQ2'S TOTAL LIFESPAN!!!

Zonx wants to be paid? WTF does Linus Torvalds get paid for the Linux Kernel? Who on earth would develop an EQ2 interface FOR PROFIT? Zonx, you need a reality check. Millions of programmers write code, which is significantly more difficult then editing XML i might add, AND GIVE IT AWAY. Moreover, THEY FIX BUGS AND ADD NEW FEATURES REGULARLY. Even Microsoft GIVES away versions of it Software.

If Zonx thinks that new features like Zone Reuse or Guild Recruiting tools are "not game breaking" he basically tells certain segments of his users that there needs aren't important. When new features that don't work are considered "non game breaking" he is showing that he really doesn't care to maintain this UI.

When I see people like Torvalds who give away massively complicated peices of software for free and then see Zonx complain when people are upset that this abandoned UI hasn't been updated for 10% of EQ2's life cycle, I really see the true underlying arrogance he has. If you want to profit, if you think your time is more valuable, then please quit. Someone else is sure to take Fetish and make it run. Or some other UI modder will create something better.

I, for one, refuse to lick the jack boots of a guy trying to profit off of someone elses' creation. I'm sure SOE wouldn't be to happy if you made Fetish pay to play, would they? And I'm guessing that's why he uses the term "donation" instead of fee, to prevent the lawyers from running him down. So if you guys want to continue kissing up just to have a chance at getting fetish back, so be it. Congratulations, you're weak.

And yet you spend the time to post here and bitch about it? Do us all a favor.... don't go away mad, just go away. The people that contnue to use this UI are content to wait for the updates, or mod it them selves. Most of those that aren't, have already (quietly) moved on to another UI. Those few that find them selves ready to start bitching need to step back, see that this is a god damn game, and if you are this uptight about a UI for that game. Then do us all a favor and kindly remove your self from the gene pool. We do not need your ignorance spreading to other generations.

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see Zonx charging any one. I see that he ask for donations for his time spent working on his UI but not demanding payment for use, Linus Torvalds sure took donations and even got paid for his work.

The reality of it is; If you like the UI and wish it would be upgraded faster maybe ask nicely. If you don't like the UI go find one you like and be happy.

This is my first time posting here, I have been using Fetish Nightfall since I have been playing EQ2. I think it is a great ui in my opinion. And I wish all the bitching and complaining would go and all you idiots that are doing it get off Zonx ass. You know people do have real lives to live we are all not dead beats and live off mommy and daddy and lay around playing video games all day.

guildrecruiting tool is pointless, you can write in your bio any advertisement you want and a /togglezonereusetimer macro does help so thanks for your opinion on this but none wants to hear it give the guy a brake.

There are plenty of other UIs make sure you like them as mutch

Hit "P" to open up your Persona window, on the title bar of the Persona Window there is a little capital P in a little button.... you may have to resize the window so that the P button is not hidden under "Persona" text. Click on this "P" button to toggle the Person Bar open and closed.

Zonx, do what you can, when you can. Most of us realize that this is a small piece of a game we're talking about, not an OS. I would much rather have you take a little while to update than have you quit altogether.

As for Sabina, please let me know where to find you on Nagafen, and I will track you down with the assistance of my highly efficient Fetish UI.

Just goes to show you that some people shouldnt try to play in our world....Getting all jacked up about something they say they dont like but in reality they want it so bad they can't stand it.

Its really very simple... if you don't like the quality of my charity, find another homeless shelter or sleep on the street. Don't stand around complaining that my free hamburger isn't steak :rolleyes:

Alternatively you could try being less of a leech on society and actually pitch in and help improve things you think need improving. Anyone can upload patches to this UI as add-ons. I'm also very receptive to constructive suggestions and requests.

And if you think I'm "profiting" from the donations you're sadly deluded. Donations to date may have finally covered the cost of my accounts and expansions. While I genuinely appreciate the donations, they don't begin to compensate me for the time invested or image editing software.

Oh and FYI, Linus has been making tons of money off Linux for ages. Your lack of business knowledge is only surpassed by your atrocious community conduct.

I guess the .zip hasen't been named correctly, shows 6_3, well tha may happen if you put the package together at 01:00 in the morning =)

Have the personabar buttons been removed? or is there another way to get it back to 1 line..

Memzor, I sugest you redownload. I just confirmed the ZIP is corectly named 6_4, which leads me to think you're working with an old version. And no the Personabar has not changed. Sizing buttons should still be there.

I deleted the folder, made a new one, used eq2map updater afterwards and then copied all the files from the fetish folder over it. recruitment tab etc is working.. hm, what could i have done wrong? :eek:

I honestly think that Sabina was just trolling, not even worth a reply. Thank you again Zonx I really enjoy the UI and appreciate all the work that you put into it.

I have noticed that when I use the cure poison from the cure bar, it first casts my biggest heal, then casts cure poison. Is this supposed to happen, and is there a way that I can make it cast just cure poison?

i have followed the instructions and not my map is all white with colored dots on it. how do i fix it? have uninstalled and reinstalled eq2 map and updated several times. it is not all maps just some like peat bog :nana:
