Also, a preview of how the new graphic set is coming along :) |
Talyns, i just got a semi intelligent idea.. atleast i think so...
how about a small button in the bank window, that opens all the bags in the bank? could have one for each row in the window? |
Quote:
The small button thing is, to the best of my knowledge, impossible.. Sorry |
I noticed somthing with the main window while playing..
If you tell titlebar not to show you can no longer change the layout of the window.. I will make the button move to the right corner of window when title bar is told to hide.. |

Hotkey Banks with Toggleable Bank Selectors
I just put these together in an attempt to further streamline my use of this UI. I wanted to still be able to select which bank a hotkey was using, but also be able to get rid of the bank selector when I didint need it anymore since it took up space. Especizally on vertically aligned hotbars. So I learned from Talyns and made it so that the bank selecter is part of the frame in the hotkey bar. Just turn off the frame and the bank selecter goes with it. Of course the window size problem was still there so I had to finagle things a bit. to make this useful to myself, I had to shrink the window size of the hotbar to be the right size WITHOUT the bank selector. That meant that when the bank selector was up it would have to verlay the hotkeys in some way. This isn't a big deal to me, and if someone has a better way i'm all for it. Essentially the way this is intended to work is you turn on the frame, set your bank as needed, then turn the frame back off. At the moment i've only modded the full size hotkey bar, but i'll be doign the same to the shrunked one soon. |

Bah I JUST found this out. Opened up another hotbar and went to change it and no worky :(
Why can't things ever be simple. |
Ok I just tried out those chat windows Talyns. All I can really think to say, and I think it sums it up nicely, is: Talyns you are an F'ing genius!

I redid the chat window from scratch, made it look like the old one and cleaned up the way the layout switch works..
Also cleaned up the script of the min/restore buttons Now a little menu opens when you press the Layout button with the four options . I also set it up so if the titlebar is gone you can click the upper right hand corner of window to get menu.. Later today or next day I will upload a new version of beta with the new windows that were included in this thread.. I will also release the Fantasy Grey graphic set :) Sorry, no requested mods will make it in this version.. |

Heres a resizable Map Window!!
Toggles between 3 sizes.. Button on upper right under close button To put the map move map just click it and drag.. To reset the map's location in the window click the upper left button.. Oddities: The window doesn't fade well when reduced size.. Also TitleBar and frame and backdrop need to be showing in order for it to look right when reduced size.. In order to move the window when reduced size you have to reset map to default location and drag by titlebar :) |

Ok this time i've tested this and it works wonderfully. Many thanks to both DB for the info and sample and Talyns for the artwork that makes this all so damn nice.
I've redone this hotbar in the same style as Talyns did the newest chat window for consistancies sake. I added a titlebar to the hotkey window that works like a regular titlebar plus has two buttons on the left hand side. The first button will toggle bank selector on and off, the secodn button will toggle the button text labels on and off. The bank selector overlays on top of the first hotbutton for a reason. This way when you turn off the bank selector uses no extra window space, allowing you to turn it off and have a window that takes up no extra space. No matter how you resize it. Here are some quick screenies showing it in action and the file is attached. This is currently the compressed hotkeys. I will do this to the full size ones as well here in a bit. |
Nicely done Agathorn.. I will check it out later :D

Where to download
I've searched every forum and download I could find, but can't find where to download again.
I am currently using an older version, and was looking for the command for making the hotbars into the smaller versions, but couldn't find the original download thread. Has it been taken down to make way for the new one you just uploaded, Talyns? :) |
There is a Mods folder that, at least in the later version, contains a smaller hotbar.
It looks right now like he updated the download for this so it won't be available till a mod approves it. |

The UI seems to have survived it's first patch with minimal problems.. Only thing I notice is the Debt % isn't displaying correctly... I will fix that later..
I made a new bag window that is layed out 10x2 and scripted it to properly resize for any size bag... Check it out and report any bugs if you find one.. |

Text field sizes :) The character I was on with had 144% exp into the next level and the debt number showed up as - on one line and I think 144 on the next line which gets cut off.. I wish if exp debt was less than 0 it would show up as 0 :) Edit: typos |
I seem to be having a problem with the ultra cool flexible new chat windows.
They don't scroll :( The scroll bar doesn't work. Looking at the widget in the center of the bar, it acts like the current page is all there is. Click the up or down scroll arrows does nothing. The text is there though since I can resize and see it. |

Hmmm.. Thought I fixed that..
Did you download the New Beta in the downloads section or are you using the version downlaoded from the thread? |
Hmm i'm honestly not sure. I'm assumign the download section one would be the correct one? I'll go download that and make sure i'm on that one.

Fantasy grey
Installed fantasy grey and it didnt show up when i logged in...used /loadui and it loaded but when i zone or open the options menu i crash and get a send error report ....as far as i know i installed it correctly..changed named to images made the eqini file ...

Hmm Maybe.. I think I have an Idea to accomplish this.. If anything I can probably make it display the way it used to.. But that was just as confusing :p |
another issue
fantasy grey is also showing me as a lvl 50 necromancer with 22222 health and 10000 power ..exp is at 281% im lvl 24 warlock
|
Actually I preferred the old way. Diidn't the old way show at what point you would be out of debt? IE if you have 60% exp and 5% debt it showed 65%? I preferred that. As it is now i'm always doing that math in my head to see when i'll be out of debt.

That's because you used /loadui. It doesn't show correct data when you do that. /load ui is evil. I havent' looked at the fabtasy grey stuff, but should be that all you need to do to use it is rename the folder "images_fantasy_grey" to "images". That's it. |
Did That
did that .... ui doesnt show up upon logging into eq2..
|

Gonna run a quick test here in a minute but i'm fairly certain I can get the debt to display properly as either actual debt (IE 5%) or as 0% if there is no debt. Give me a few minutes. |
Older version
the older version of grey does show up when logging in...

Welp unless i'm mistaken, you should be able to do the experience debt with this equation:
(/GameData.Self.ExperienceDebtCurrent+/GameData.Self.ExperienceCurrent)-/GameData.Self.ExperienceDebtCurrent Unfortunately I can't figure out how to place that into the XML so that it is calculated. It was said we could do math but I can't find any examples of using math to calc and display a value. |
doh
lol ya know talyns i knew i was missing something....thanx all it worked lol
|
Quote:
-144 + 144 = 0 - -144 = 144 Experience debt is 4 and exp is 144% 4 + 144 = 148 - 4 = 144 Don't think that would work.. |
You're right I listed that wrong.. The sewcoind half of the equation should be ExperienceCurrent NOT debt.
Doesn't Debt return IE 5? It should be: (Exp + Debt) - Exp 50% exp, 5% debt 50 + 5 = 55 55 - 50 = 5 50% exp 0% debt 50+0 = 50 50 - 50 = 0 |
You would have to do the math on an event.. OnShow, OnHide, OnHoverIn, etc
They way they made it is perfect.. They are doing the math for us behind the scenes.. They changed it so it would display Old ExpDebt - Current Exp.. That way it counts down.. Say you have 5 debt and get 1 exp it will change to 4 debt automagically.. I just don't like the fact it shows when negative.. It should just show 0.. |
