Yea, I can't even get the mini map up on mine now.. I'll reinstall it. No telling what I did the night before when I up late typing in all the loc for the new inventory window.. I found my self in other windows once or twice before I decided it was best to go get sleep ..

fixed.. forgot to turn off EqSlots1 and 16 :) Can't see them in the uibuilder just in game.

This is minor, just letting you know. The tradeskill XP is not updating on the partial percentages, only when a full percentage point is reached. Also, it looks like this 50%.43%.

Love the other improvements, this just keeps getting better...Thanks

Hey guys,

Everything is working very good for me, no crashing (besides an eq2 patch I had to troubleshoot, no thanks to tech support). Love the UI, vispack works well on my setup. I did notice some small oddities, but nothing that affects gameplay, just minor annoyances.

1) The first time I turn off sound when running a new eq2 instance, I need to click sound off twice. There after each click toggles correctly, until next time I run the game, and thus repeats. It seems as though default first click is to turn it on even though it already is, and then off on next click. This doesnt affect me since rarely do I have the sound turned off, and I dont mind clickin it twice when I do.

2) I know you don't like crafting, so you might never see this :) . Whenever I click a counter tradespell, during the duration of its cast (3-4 seconds), a little green box appears in the uppper left of my screen. It doesn't do anything, just comes up to say hello, and then goes away when the spell wears off. Maybe you could give it a face, or use the little dancing banana, give it some purpose for being there. Again, doesnt affect gameplay.

3) I normally play in fullsceen mode, and the UI is set up accordingly, everything in its proper place. Occasionally I have to check the ogaming database to look up a tough heritage quest, or get a waypoint. Whenever I toggle out of fullscreen and then back, the chat box in the bottom left is out of place, and so far down that it goes background invis (I fix I recall, I know I can turn off). The chat bax needs to be repositioned each time fullscreen is changed. Doesnt affect gameplay.

All in all, the interface rocks, and looks fantastic on the digital projector. I hope the detail is of interest. Keep up the great work.

I was having this same problem, but disappeared after the release of v1.11.5. You runnning 1.11.5 or 1.11.4?

Yea befor 1.11.5 I was playing around trying to get the chat windows to resize correctly when going into windowed mode from full screen. I had forgot to put the anchors back in place when 1.11.4 was pushed out.( I guess lol )

Should of been fixed in v1.11.6 what vertion are you using?

Hmm, Im just saying hello to you:P lol No clue will try to find it.. Can you move it? try to right click over and and set it to unlocked.. then the next time it pops up see if u can move it.. No idea what it could be.. but Im still looking for it lol.

My bad it was fixed with the 1.11.6 update, it started happening with version 1.11.5, try 1.11.6 and see if that helps.

  • Fixed the inventory where bag slots 2 and 3 will show in the mini-inventory when you rotate from inventory to bags.
  • Took the coin page out of the min-inventory rotation and put it in the expanded inventory. Thanks for that good suggestion mackgee
  • Fixed the experience read out on adventure and trade skill. Thanks taco-man for clearing how that works up.
  • Fixed the buttons in the experience window so you would only need to click them once.
  • Fixed the issue with not being able to click on hotkeys 1-6 on the hotkey bar that is over the group window. This wasn’t a mod issue, I found it in the eq2ui_settings. There was an invisible window (the old pop-up spell casting window) that was blocking them. I resized that window to 0x0 :P if u still have an issue there, when the buttons are being blocked just right click unlock and move it..

I am using 1.11.6. The regular XP was fixed in 5, haven't done anything but tradeskill since 6 so not sure if it still is. I moved the old UI out before I installed 1.11.6...maybe I should reinstall.

Well if it wasn't fixed in .6 it is in .7 because I checked the dynamicdata tag :)

Here are four screen caps of what is happening with the map:

1. Open the map for the first time.
2. Shrink map.
3. Normalize map.
4. Open the map back after closing it.

The map will stay like screen cap #4 until I log.

This is way beyond me..

Man that don't even look close to my converted map.. First give a way is the backdrop don't match you hud backdrop, 2nd is OMG them tabs.. Is that the default tab? Mine will be a fetish tab and never will it not match/fit to the frame correctly.

When you are updating are u replacing the files in eq2map also? If not you should be:) Don't worry all the files in there are uptodate I always do a update before I zip. That way people get a good copy, only thing I don't put in my zip for eq2maps is the map images..

What bugs do you still see in eXtremeUI? Also what features would you like to see added, besides 1024xXXX support? (I’m working on that for you guys just need time) I do plan and am making ever game window smaller and minimizable but these have taken a back seat to getting the current bugs out.

about those green boxes in crafting - they seem to appear when you have an event come up while crafting (like congeal or something like that). When you use the correct skill to counter it, it goes green and everything's fine... if you use the wrong skill it goes red (and then you get hit with something sometimes)

i use it as an indicator of whether i got it right or not in time ;)

I dont know if this is possible because the game itself requires a high resolution, but is it possible to make it for 800*600. Im not sure what res i am using atm but everything is extremely tiny, and it makes it hard for me to see which hotkeys I am hitting. I think all the bugs I found were fixed, just hadnt got arounf to posting them, the inventory bug was especially annoying. I couldnt find my drinks anywhere and being a mage, I kinda need them. Thx again Landin!! :cool:

Did you get around to making the target bars able to only show name/health/power? I think it has something to do with opicity... yea i know i spelled that wrong lol, hopefully you know what I was trying to say :)


um, just got the updated version... saw a text document thats called UI, never noticed it before, but i opened it and it says.. Error opening 'images/maps/map_nomap.dds' and a whole bunch of others.. did I do something wrong perhaps?

I traced the problem to the EQ Map Auto Update program. I run the auto updater before I log in to make sure I have the latest map files, and there's an option in there where it says "Ask to overwrite MainHUD.Map". I didn't have this box checked and when it would update it would overwrite your mainhud.map file. That's why it looked like it did in the screen caps. Checking this box and NOT overwriting the mainhud.map file fixed the problem. Thanks for your help once again.

Also, group member health points are showing up as 10,000/10,000 and just to confirm, I asked my group how many health points they had.. lol no where near 10,000 was the answer hehe

If things are tiny now you are most likly running on a high rez.. Try lowering you rez one notch, it should make things bigger for you.

No I forgot to do that, Will be able to in the next update, sorry:(

Thats just means its searching for that file and I beleave its only made by the uibuilder.. U did nothing wrong.

Havn't had time to seach for that. If you will do a little trouble shooting for me being I hardly ever do trade skills.. If you would go into your extreme folder and rename eq2ui_tradeskills.xml to eq2ui_tradeskills_new.xml, the run eq and go trade skill and see if it still does it.. by doing that u will make eq revert back to the default ts window.. just rename it back to get the exteme wnidow back.

Landin,

The thing your looking for in the tradeskills window is on page Create and its called ResultColorPage make it Visible=False ;)

That will fix bud :)

Hmm found it but visible alreay = False.. Can that be deleted? I'll do an OnShow=visible=False for now..

I am using the 1200 one it works fine in the 16 version I load the 1.7 version and its gone I will reload the 1.6 version ui and see if that works

Yeah its not in the 1200xx one I am using 1280 x 1024
that is why the tabs are gone.

lol.. that is probably why I missed that.. I had no idea what that meant hehe I will try lowering my rez, but if i remember correctly I started playing using 800*600 and the hot bars were taking up too much room, where i could barely see what I was doing in game, so that is why I uped it, I put it to the max res, Im gonna try which ever one is in the middle lol. Il; give you an update on how I am doing, once ive got it done lol

Not sure if it can be deleted or not.... Mine is hidden behind one of the other icons and is quite far down the Z order so that will be why it does not show itself in my creation page... As I recall from the SS that was posted here yours is offset from the icon slightly... But the Onshow you done should work just fine like lol
