I came back to EQ2 after a long time, and I was really happy to see that the Fetish Theme was still around and better than ever!

I have just one thing I want to change about it but can't figure out how. How can I make it so the ESC key will close the Inventory window?

Burlen, open eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml in Notepad. Search for

Nah, I know that. just wanna be lazy and have it so ya don't have to click that.... Always seem to forget to disable that from happening EVERYTIME I log in!!

Nope, sry the menu setting would over-ride anything I did that would still allow changing the bar order.

Oh and as for tradeskill debt, sure its possible to remove the debt percentage but I wont do this for my standard window since it is possible to gain TS debt. If you really want to remove it, I'm sure you could find and delete the text objects yourself ;)

just curious when can we expect an update for the new zone reuse window etc for todays update?

The zone reuse window is pretty useful. While Zonx is deliberating over an update, here's what you can do.

Edit eq2ui_mainhud.xml (in your Fetish directory). Near the top of the file, replace:

with:

To show the window, you can:

Type /togglezonereuse into your chat window

OR

Rename or delete eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml in your Fetish directory. You'll gain the new buttons in the persona window, and lose the Fetish skinning.

I have a question does this update include the new map stuff and zone reuse timers. Cause ur suppose to be able to type /togglezonereuse and it pulls up a menu but my menu is all black except for the keys. And on the map is it going to show where pvp is near?

Just a heads up, I'm aware of the changes but have not had the time to incorporate them. Untill I do, Gumba's post above is a good temp fix.

None of the recent changes are game breaking/vitally important so they are fairly low on my priority list, but I will get to them.

Any changes to the Map required for PvP would need to be made by the EQ2Maps team first before making it into Nightfall.

A little prob is in guild window, the date ppl joined guild is missing.
It is on mine anyways.. no fatal miss, but nice to have as a senior officer to keep track of the members.

I just updated my UI with LU#21 patch and now I have some problems. When EQ2 loads, my splash screen is offset. The EQ2 logo looks too large and is down and right from center. When I get logged in to a character, all my windows appear to be the EQ default and not Festish, ie. brown not purple.

What files do I need to overwrite?

Found part of the answer (didn't look hard enough)

Per Zonx...
"Fetish Complete Set users (that's FetichClassic and FetishNightfall) should not install the eq2ui.xml file included with any pieces.

Fetish Complete sets use a larger base resolution which can result in sizing issues if you install a copy of eq2ui.xml that uses the default resolution. The eq2ui.xml file provided with FetishPieces is intended for users of the default UI."

My windows are still brown default though. Still tying to solve this issue.

Mini map issue
 

With the mini map up, as I move around, my pointer moves but the map doesn't scroll with my pointer. Also, I can actually walk off my map and see the pointer to the left of the mini map window.

I also don't understand what show and hide mini map does. I click and nothing changes. I can shrink the main map but is there supposed to be a separate mini map or something?

I did figure out the problem with the mini map. I think when I copied files into my folder I didn't tell it to overwrite. Anyway, the mini map comes up now. However, the mini map is sort of pointless. It doesn't show where I am on the map, any other group members, or even default map icons. Am I missing something? What is the point of a static map without details?

Is anyone else having problems with the guild bank log tab? I click on it but nothing happens, can not view the log. I have looked for any other post about this problem but cn not find one, I could have just over look one.

BTW I LOVEEEEE this UI, :nana: I be lost if I had to use anything else.

If you are refering to the log bug where you have to switch between the log tabs in order to view them; that issue was fixed in version 6.3 I believe. After that patch, mine no longer does that and shows up as it should.

If you're talking about the Bank logs in the guild roster, if it's the bug I'm thinking of; you need to switch to a different bank log then switch back, or install the 6.3 version.

When I log onto play, my chat window is visble for about a second, then it closes. This is quite annoying to have happen. Is there a fix for this.

The info center can be found by opening your journal and clicking on the "?" at the top of the window.

On another subject I have been unable to locate the recipe for pressed papertie. it is a T1 recipe that should be in artisan essentials volume 3. I have scribed the book and scanned through all the recipe's it contains and this one is not showing in the book or at the table. I had my brother check for the recipe and it's not showing up for him either; we are both using this UI. Please let me know if this is a problem with the UI or if it's some freak bug I need to report.

You make the T1 ones at the Writing Desk, the ones from the Timbercraft books (T2+) are made at the woodworking table.

Zonx we appreciate the work you do on this UI. Success is a great thing, but needs to be followed up by consistent updates and work. You're two live updates behind my friend. When can those of us who are fetish diehard supporters expect to be able to use the new features? I don't mess around with find/replace and won't switch to another UI unless it becomes obvious you've abondoned the Fetish series...

I agree totally with deathstalker. Fetish is starting more and more to feel like abandonware.

I hope it hasnt been abandoned. :(

I was playing around with the guild bank window since someone said the issue was fixed..anyway you have to slowly move you curser just below where it says bank log until you see it highlight its sensitive. Then click on it once its highlighted should work. Just play around with it. ;)

With the last update I thought I would try a UI that had all the latest dohickys for the last LU, needless to say, this is better and I soon came back

I have read in this thread that the ingame browser is somewhat unsupported! (although those comments were a long time ago).
Its a part of the UI that I realy want to play with as it may save me alt/tabbing to the out of game browser for quest hints.

firstly as you say it may, it does indeed crash my client and when not crashing it refreshes everytime I type somethin in the url window, as if the go button is permanatly being clicked.

Any plans to do something about this?
like should I wait with baited breath or just give up on this aspect of the UI?

Ok lets get a few things straight.

1) its been a wopping 40 days since my last official update. The last LU's changes were very trivial and could be easily incorporated with Gumba's posted tweak (which I noted in my last post). The latest LU went live 2 days ago.

2) I have a life, real work, etc.

3) I also like to play EQ2 as much as you do.

4) I use this UI, so if a critical feature is missing, I'm gonna notice.

5) Based on the level of donations, I am still doing this virtually for free.


If you can't be bothered to make simple NotePad tweaks yourself...

Are too impatient to wait for someone else (me or another user) to post an update...

Aren't willing/able to donate...

And can't keep yourself from complaining on these forums...

Please, please go find another UI! I and the apreciative folks in this forum really don't care to hear from selfcentered, lazy, cheap whiners.

Although the changes in this LU are also very unessential, I agree 2 LUs warrants an update even if the changes are trivial. I will be carving out some time during my EASTER holiday and tax filing to get an update out. Untill its up, Kodan was kind enough to post a version of the Persona window (with a reuse timer button) as an Addon's.

this is a pretty funky UI, and I think I'm going to enjoy using it.

Why in hell u ppl nagging about some not so important things things which SoE included 2 days ago? I can live with good ol' Fetish as long it not affect the gameplay itself.
Have u ever heard bout the word "patience"? i doubt u did.
Give the man time to decide when and how he will implement all the new stuff. Until than Enjoy the game as u did before.
