Inventory Window location
 

I posted before about having my inventory window shrunk by default. Zonx responded with the location of the info in the .doc about doing that, and I have added the appropriate line additions.

However, now when I log in on any character, the inventory window is open by default. Also, I wanted it to appear shrunk, at the window position of the Fetish dock, which it is not doing.

I know correcting these problems must be simple, but I have very little knowledge of XML, and don't want to make it worse, through ignorance. Anyone able to give me the hint to fix these myself? Thanks in advance. :confused:

Seems there is a problem with the merchant window after LU 14. Wasn't sure if you knew about it so I thought I would post.

I am getting this error now too. I cannot use merchants or menders.

I thought it was a zone issue but zoning out and back does not seem to help.

I see that others are having the same problem as well so now I know it is a GUI issue. Please fix it soon. Your GUI is the only one I want to use! I won't switch back to the default!

Yes, the merchant window and the /petition window are not functioning porperly as a result of LU 14......love the UI though!

Attached is a patch to resolve a few issues introduced with LU 14 plus a couple other things.

Merchant: window fixed.
Guild Bank: window fixed.
Help: window fixed.
Trade: window fixed.
Loto: window added and reskined.
Implied Target: window vertical sizing bug fixed.
Login Scene: EverQuest2.exe now displays character name and server boxes for direct login, bypassing character select. You may hardcode your Password and prefered server name into the file eq2ui_loginscene.xml by changing ="PASWORD" and ="SERVER" using NotePad.

WARNING: Hardcoded passwords could be read by anyone with access to your hard drive.

Note: patch 4.71 and 4.72 still had a few issues.

Thanks, Zonx for a wonderful interface. I wouldn't play EQ2 without it. I installed the patch files, and now the merchant and guild bank windows work but I can't select items in the windows to withdraw or buy/sell.

Still an issue with trade window when a player goes to add money to trade window, does not show up in your trade window.

Also on merchant window, yes you can get to the sell tab, but you can not sell anything. lol.

Anyway, as I was rightfully picked up in the !! Help !! forum,

This time I deleted the merchant and trade XMLs and all is fine again with SOE default Trade and merchant windows.

also in addition to the above mentioned ^^^.

anyplace that you can enter text the text box is grey, not sure if that is on your end or somewhere in the options now.

guild window when on the members tab clicking on one person now highlights 2 people and then when you have it set to view all members the scroll bar does not shrink and so the only way to scroll is by using the wheel on the mouse.

when ya do /petition and you type in anyting to do a search so that you can start a new ticket, clicking search does nothing.

For some reason I cant seem to get the the sale window up so that I can sell to the merchantsI can click the tab but it does not change the window. Im I missing something.

I'm aware of the grey text entry box issue. Will hopefully have that fixed in the next full release. SOE did wierd stuff with the textbox styles. Likewise for the new search window's results coloring.

I'll have to look at the guild window highlite issue. From the screenshot, looks like the highlighter isn't properly shrinking to elliminate the extra notes row seen by officers. Not a game breaker.

Patch 4.73 should resolve all issues reported up to this point.

Can't stand playing the game without the Fetish UI and EQ2Map. Well I can stand it but just barely. Thanks for all the great work on our behalf.

Zonx what about this issue. If you use the default UI you are able to do this via options but with Fetish this option is greyed out and the only way around it is to add that line to your eq2.ini

Ended up having to delete the guildbank XML too =(

Deposit / Withdraw coin works fine,

But can place or remove items from the guild bank(s)

Merchant Window....
 

Hey there... am having trouble with the merchant window... can not get to the "selling window", and also i am also getting a "Repair button" with every merchant.... not sure what is up or if ur working on getting a update for the Patch from 10/05/05.... let me know please!

merchent window still dont work u cant hit the buy or sell or repair buttons only lets u move the window its like its not even a button there.

Spell Effects window...
 

When i scroll over my spell effects window it doesn't say the name of the spell.... But, when i go to my Maintained Spells window it does... looks like this needs to be fixed as well...!

On the next update, can you change one thing with the inventory window, I know it is great now having the use button on all slots, but the slot for the arrows is not necessary, can you remove it? It blocks the quantity for arrows, and for rangers, we always need to keep track on our arrow count, so we can keep restocking so we don't ended up with zero arrows in the middle of a fight.

we also can not edit the text in officer notes or the personal notes...

so summry of guild window:

1. can not scroll
2. can not edit officer/personal notes
3. highlight is buggy

First Great UI zonx but of course I have a question regarding hardcoding the password.

I am not sure where in the xml file I should be changing/inputting my password and server stuff. Could eleborate just a bit more on where and what I should be editing. Thanks

something i also just noticed,wene i went to the options window to adjust some of my graphics settings"this is on all sliders"there is no longer a box showing the numbers,like max torches per it would normaly show 1,2 and on up.no box with numbers any more.

Do a search for the ="PASWORD" and ="SERVER". Think they are near the top. When I enabled these changes though the client crashes.

Auto Update?
 

First off, my compliments Zonx.

I use Fetish on all three of my accounts and I absolutely love it. I am sure that I speak for all of your fans, and thank you profusely for all of your hard work in keeping this UI up to date.

One of the things that I wanted to know if you have considered is creating an auto-update feature for the patches/new revisions. I know that there are other UIs (ThorUI is one, I believe) that offers such a service and it would greatly help all of us who are so loyal in using your work.
