Well I got me a new Toy .. An Acer 20" widescren LCD monitor was a new max rez of 1680x1050 .. anyone else running on a res like that and how do you have your windows set??

Hey Landen i did find one problem that you might have over looked. I want to deleted on of my alts but on the char. select screen the button for delete is not working. So if you could fix this it would be most appreaciated :nana:

Is every one having this trouble? I can delete a char just fine on mine. Please test and and post your findings. Just press the delete button at char select and see if it works. It will not delete the char unless you type the char name in, just press cancel or no after pressing the delete button.

Ok, I tried this UI and although it is good i still prefer the original ui... Is there a way to uninstall this ui, or do I have to delete the entire game and reinstall it and get all the updates again?

Ok never mind.... i found the uninstall button...

The main reason i wanted to erase was because i run the game at 1920x1200 and the interface jsut did not look right.... holes everywhere.... However i did like the the E2MAP...

EQ2MAP is a stand alone mod and can be use with any UI includeing the default. You can get it at maps.eq2interface.com.

Just tryed it out and am not able to delete any of my characters. Button is there and everything, just dont do anything when you click on it.

Hello, first Id like to say, I love what you have done with a ton of the stuff in the UI. Great job. Altho there are some things that i do not like or cannot play as the UI is, such as the REALLY tiny hotbar buttons.... cannot enlarge them if they are to fit within the ui. I run at 1024x768 as I have an older monitor. I am wondering, Is there a way that I can use certian things within the UI without using the entire thing. Such as the window that has the "Quick buttons like Info, Follow, HTML... that window and the camp select screen and whatnot. there are 4-5 things that I REALLY love but due to my set up, I cannto play with the entire UI. Please Help. Thank you.

I posted a really clean and fully functional, full screen 1920x1200 UI settings file a while back. I included a screenshot so you could see how it was set up. I thought it was mentioned that resolutions that were posted might be incorporated into the install but I guess not.

While on the topic of the install.. Is there anyway to get a second version without the installer? I would love just a change list of files. I change a few things on the install and would REALLY rather just copy over and or remove files that have changed then to have to modify it everytime you update. I know that for the masses the installer is easier but for some of us that customize it a bit it is really more of a hassle.

ok thanks... but for the Live UPdate on the Feb. they said that we will need to apply our defoult UIs for it... and then we would have to update our custom ones so they work right... When will you be doing this? and how do i apply my default UI lol :nana:

You don't have to do all that. 99% of the windows should work fine. Persona and maybe the exp will be forced default. I was planning up uping the new version this morning but got called into work in the middle of the nite and am still stuck here so I'll be later before I get an update up. The good thing is I'm make extra money from all the over time:)

And then he can take the next day off without lossing any money. :D

I have been using this UI since I found it, and it works great, but after today's update, it causes me to lag like crazy! Am I the only one thats is having this issue? I would still like to use this UI, but I cant do so with this lag, help, please? Thanks.

WHen i goto make a new CHar, picking gender/race/alignment are fine, the next screen just shows my char and no buttons or anything, just stuck there in limbo. Any ideas anyone? If i need to go to default? If so do i need to delete my extreme folder?

I am in the process of download as I type this... and most likely, so are alot of other people. Might account for the lag, seems to be the case with most major updates. :o

Ok all is ready for me to upload the update, just waiting on the patcher to get done so I can test it on live. Remember I R on a slow connectiong ( ISDN ) and have 1hr left:( so hang in there.

I did even think that ISDN still exsisted .... thats gotta be painful :eek:

Keep up the good work and its awsome to see someone keep up with all these changes :)

I think I'm the only one left in the world with it :mad:

But its better then the alternative dialup. I spend all day at work on an OC3 then come home to an ISDN, the shock I receive every days is just horrid lol.

EQ2 not starting...
 

Hi All, just wanted to share my experience with the new #19 update...

After starting up I got the message "Login to server rejected. Client version does not match the server's. Please run the Patcher again."

Of course after 5 tries you start to get nervous... and questioning why the Patcher does not update at all. :confused:

Reset the "Extreme" UI in EQ2.ini to "default" and that got the update running. Hopefully this might be helpfull to someone! :cool:

Edit after installing 2.19: Are the contextmenu's (right mouseclick on windows) not working? :eek:

eq2.ini shouldn't have any thing to do with the patcher as it isn't even loaded untill the patcher runs the game. It worked just fine for me so not sure why you was having that issue.

What window isn't giving you context menu? Context menu's are working ok on my install, I was able to delete all the new CA/Spells the game was putting on my hatbars, Only looked at the context msg for the carpet in SS and it worked also.

I was looking through and i am not able to find anything about this so im posting it now.
First off....I love the interface and everything but two things is great.
these are the inventory/bag windows and i cant find the selected target window
I actually like the old style equipped item window and i like seeing where items are equipped and i cant find an option to change it back..
please help. this effects my want to use this ui and i would hate to not be able to use it :(

Remove eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml from the extreme folder to default back to the default inventory window. Remove eq2ui_inventory_bag.xml from the extreme folder to default back to the default bag windows.

Hi Landiin, actually it was all the windows...

What I forgot to mention is that after some time (less than 1 minute) the game crashes to the desktop. After your comment I did the following:
1. Deleted all the files in the Extreme dir, except for the EQ2Map dir, as I thought that would save time (which it did not...)
2. Ran the installer again.
3. Started the game.

After game starts I zone in but the first entity I click (doesn't matter what, NPC, door etc) crash to desktop...

As there's no mention of anybody else having this prob, I assume it's not your UI but would appreciate any comments that you (or others) might have.

And last, but not least: Been using your UI for almost a year now, don't want anything else!! :nana:

ok do this Saeedya;

In start->Program files-> eXtremeui -> uninstall answer yes to all so it will totaly remove it. Well you don't have to revert back on the uisetting file but thats up to you.

When that is done go into your EverQuest II directory and make sure eq2.ini is gone. If it isn't delete it. the got to EverQuest II/UI/ and delete the eXtreme directory if it is still there. Now that every thing eXtreme should be gone, start up EverQuest II and zone a couple of times using the default UI to insure all is working right.

If the above works, exit out of the game, run the eXtreme installer and rerun EverQuest II and see what happens.

Let me know how it goes, well get you fixed up:)
