Yea, I am not sure what do about this, I think it's because of the way the widnow resorts when you price something but not real sure. When I get some more time I plan to play with it a bit to get see if I can get it to not do that.

I just downloaded this UI and the installer freezes up at Scanned 277, New 120, Current 154, Updated 1, Skipped 0, Downloaded 8/121

I really wanted to try this UI, but cannot get the installer to ... well install it.

Please advise if there is something special I need to do to make this work =)

If the download stops, In the main menu under extreme click on update. If update is greyed out then exit AUCP and go to start->programe files->exterme and click on AUCP and it should restart from where it left off.

What is going on here??? I'm using 1600x1200 resolution. First install gives me this garbage. Did I miss something??

It looks like you didn't click save when setting your uisettings.ini resolution and character.

One thing i have noticed on my game, is as follows, I have the 2 chat windows open, one on the top, the other on the bottom, but if i log out of the game to desktop, then come back in, the tabbed windows seemed to have come apart, and i generally have 2 'floating' chat windows on my screen. Easy to fix, drag a tab onto it, and then drag it back into the main chat window so it is absorbed back into that window. But that gets old quickly heh =)

It also seems to happen when you change to another toon as well.

the other thing that i have noticed, is no scroll bar on the chat windows, at least for any of my toons there is none, as well as the hotbars, some have a scroll bar to switch between them, and some don't.

But other than that, keep up the great work =)

The chat window issue is a game issue not a UI issue. So there isn't much I can do about that. Your uisettings file could of got fried also, try deleting it and starting over with a new one.

Being I don't know of a mouse in these times that don't have a mouse wheel, I took the scrool bar out of the chat window as it took up space. Use your mouse wheel to scroll with.

Toggle on and off frames and the title in your hotbars to get the spinner buttons to show.

might be that I was suppose to log into my characters on a fresh install

I can see it doesn't like the fact that I haven't logged into a character since a fresh intstall of EQ 2....

LOL how dare you do such a thing:) Yea if it doesnt find the account/char,world list file it can't load you strait into the game as that char so it tosses up that window. I guess I should change it to a informational type thing now that the bugs are worked out of it.

Actually I dont have a scroll mouse =) and i got the hotbar scrolls back =)
so unfortunately i can use my mouse to scroll back up in the chat window. I have one of the logitech stationary mice with the big rid ball, and only 2 buttons, is good for my tendenitis that way heh

I am having an issue here, maybe someone can help. It seems my PSP 7, 8, 9 and X refuse to open or save .DDS files. I would love to customize my background.DDS, I am wondering what to do here, and yes I have downloaded the NVidia DDs tools and installed them into my plug-ins folder, still no luck. anyways just thought I would share my problem and see if anyone else has had this issue and found a solution, and dont tell me to go buy Adobe =P

One more thing here on another subject... I went to the test server today and played the Beta of the new adventure pack, it seems the broker window does not work there. is there a fix comming for that ? they must have made a change to it or something, but I tryed to use the broker in there and just got the error that the UI was not compatable and I should use the default lol, anyways thats it =P

Aye the test server has changed a couple of windows that will not work on live. Once 24 goes live so will the autodupdate.

You can delete the broker window so it operates correctly on test.

Having alot of problems with the UI - My spellslots dont save when I log..

My chatwindow (and all the stuff at the bottom) are cut down under the screen where I cant see them. I am under 1280/1024 reso.

Its not game breaking - you have done an AMAZING job at this.. I am just looking for a fix :)

You might of done this already but in settings under ui->client config click on default the save in the eq2ui.ini group. I know this is one of the issues that cause the trouble you have with the window placements.

Looked for a while, cant seam to find that Advanced option (found the resolutions, but not for 1280x778(800).

Btw, in the UI-Settings window, the UI-tab and Char UISettnigs Conf. are showing the same thing?

There isn’t an advanced option any more. That has been gone for some time now.

When the AUCP is done updating you can access settings via AUCP->Settings from the main menu.

When in the settings window use the menu on the left to navigate to UI and make all your settings from there.

Yes your resolution may not be listed; I can’t begin to guess at every ones resolution settings. I do however provide the most commonly used resolutions that work best with eXtreme. One day I will find the time to make a resolution setting file for every know resolution but until then you will have to pick one that is close to yours and adjust some windows once in game.

I did know about the change but on that note I deleted my test server copy of EQ a bit ago. :mad: So if you want you can post that file here and I’ll have it ready instead of getting a copy from the live sever once its patch and fixing it? I fear patching test server back :eek:

So patch is here and I ran the AUCP, I see no fix at all lol my Market window has to be deleted in order to work, my spell effects window scrolls still and they said that was fixed in the patch so I will assume its a UI issue ?? Those are the only things I have come into today. I will just get rid of the market window in the UI and avoid scrolling near my spell effects window, but I am wondering if there is an update comming soon ?

The AUCP tries in every way to make updateing the ui a snap but sadly it don't know when the servers are patched, it has to wait till I change out the file. When I get home from the ball games or what not I'll put up the new market untill then just delete that file so default will be used.

When UI modding starts paying the bills, I'll be sure to have a patch ready as soon as the servers come up. Untill then you'll just have to wait untill I get done with what does pay the bills to get an update.

Ok since the auto-updater was released, I've not made it to the Extreme Forums quite as much and have a question that i know is answered already somewhere in the 50 odd pages :D but i really dont have the time, atm, to search for it so could ya tell me where i need to go to delete the broker file so it will use default untill it's fixed

hey all i play eq2 there is a message that pops up with the new lu in eq2, the message calimes that the ui is not compatible with this, it only happens when i try to go to a vendor to browse the markets

FYI on broker merchant window. You can go into the EQ default file and copy the xml document eq2ui inventory market file (modified 6/14/06) and replace the one in your extreme file. This fixes the merchant window!

We dont want you to catch aggro from the family dude.

Or you just delete the one in your ExtremeUI folder and it uses the default by default. (Like Landiin already stated) Then you wont get another foreign file error.

You should put a PayPal Donate button on the AUCP, I am sure many people here that utilize this great UI would be happy to throw some scratch your way. Just as a show of gratitude. :-)

And those of you that have deleted the eq2ui_inventory_market.xml file from your eXtremeUI folder you'll see that SOE has incorporated allot of the features that Landiin has been incorporating into eXtremeUI for the Broker window......quite impressive.....they actually do listen.

Sorry I sounded a bit frustrated that day, I have been useing this UI since you came out with it, when I get used to a UI its hard to go back the the default. and stupid sony removing the browse button on the broker, you have to go to advanced search in order to just browse, unless you know the name of what you seek. =P

first off would like to say i love this ui. the best i have ever used :D . i have a question though. it seems that any time i log to char select from being in game and back to another char, the targeting bar and the personal health bar go from the rainbow it usally is to a solid collor , usally all red or green. but if i log out of windows and back in everything is fine. i dont remember it always being this way so i was wondering if maybe something in my ui files was off

That is a known Sony issue. It's been posted on this thread at least 3-4 times now. Nothing we can do about, unless something drastic happens and Sony fixes bugs that are over a year old. (One can hope right??) :rolleyes:

The /bug window doesn't have a field for Summary. Can't do a /bug report because of it.

That window is not a window that is included in the eXtremeUI mod. Ether it's a bug with default or you have an old eXtremeUI file or a none eXtreme file in the extreme directory. Look at your foreign file list and delete what you haven't added.

No biggy, I guess I was in a mood that day myself, normal I'm not that short.

I am working on the market window but I've been stuck at the ball field doing rain make up games and am just about beat when I get home, so work on it is kind of creeping ATM. ( but its getting there )

updater freezing
 

hi ive installed the latest version of your UI, im having a bit of a problem in the first update, first off it disconects about half way through i close it down restart it it continues updating. it then gets to the eq2ui_inventory_market.xml file and freezes i have not been able to do anything to get it past this point any help or info would be greatful i have tried restarting it, let it sit on it for 30 minutes, rebooted "cold boot" computer, uninstalled deleted extreemdir and reinstalled, nothing fixes plse help:)

Patching Issue
 

Yeah, I am having the same issue as Aequitas. When I patch with AUCP, it halts when trying to download eq2ui_inventory_market.xml. I should say the downloader stops. It creates a 0-byte file on the HDD and "idles". The program itself is ok though as you can navigate through the tabs etc...It looks like the server side file doesnt exist or something along those lines. If this is a known issue with a fix I apologize. I didn't see anything else posted on this in this thread.

Oops My BAD :eek: :eek: I removed that file and forgot to update the filelist :rolleyes: :rolleyes: It should be all good now.
