hrm tried deleting my custom ini files and start over from scratch still having the issue with the heroic op window and also the ts window always reseting them selves every time i relog - and its only those

I've not updated to the most recent UI yet and the HO window is reseting to a location for me as well. Happens when I zone(sometimes) and when I relog(all the time).

I don't think this is anything that Zonx has done but something in the coding maybe that SOE changed that is causing this. Just a slight annonance though as I can always drag it down to where I keep it(for me it's in the lower left side) for now. Thanks for the speedy update Zonx!

Unreadable Quest Journal With My Goth Theme.

First: Great Work and and by far my favorite UI. When I first started playing and found out about custom UIs I tried quite a few. Yours Was the first I tried and the one I wound up back with after flirting with all the other ones.
(not that the other authors didnt have some nice stuff out there).

At any rate, just wanted to say thanks for all the work and the great support for the UI.

Before I ask you my question let me tell you that I have NO technical knowledge of how this stuff works. Im about as technical as a doorknob, so if I ask something about which the answer is obvious bear with me please. :D

Anyway, since LU19
(I switched to the Goth Theme recently so I'm not totally sure my problem is LU19 related)
My journal has become unreadable on the collections quests page and was wondering if you are still updating the goth theme or if there is something I can change myself to get it to work. I really love nightfall and in particular the goth theme and would really appreciate any help ya could give me about this.

The 2 goth themes are slightly out of date.

Yes I plan to update them but don't have an ETA yet.

All that's really needed is the addition of a few styles added in more recent updates. Untill they're updated, you could do the following...

Open the Goth Themes _FetishStyles.xml in file Notepad
Open the Nightfall file _FetishStyles.xml in file Notepad

Turn Word Wrap off on both.

Do a line by line comparison till you find objects in Nightfall that aren't in the Goth theme.

Copy/paste the missing objects.

There's a ton of code to sift thru, but you're really just looking for completely ommited objects. Everything should be ordered the same in both files, so extra lines should jump out just paging down and fliping between overlapping Notepad windows.

If you get it working, please upload the patched files for others to use :)

The Maj vaults are working now as well. I had sent in a bug report about only seeing two and the next morning I could see 4, so maybe they forgot about us living in Maj and then fixed it :)

Hi Zonx. First Thank you for replying so FAST! I tried to add the stuff from the main nightfall theme as you suggested and apparently instead of being as technically inclined as a doorknob, it turns out that im really as tech inclined as maybe..umm..I dunno. A slab of rock. LOL anyway, all I managed to do was turn EVERYTHING in my UI totally black. :eek: I think i'll wait for the update man. best to leave these things to people who know what theyre doing. But I figured I'd give it a shot.
Again though Thanks Much for the quick reply man. Im just a lost cause where this kinda stuff is concerned. Keep up the Excellent work. :)

Collections Journal Page
 

Anyone else having problems with the collections journal page with the latest Nightfall? Almost all black, with exception to the collection pieces themselves...

I am running the latest version without any problems with the collection journal.

Reading the couple of posts that Tyrade has made above, It sounds like you might be having a problem with the FetishStyles.xml file

Did you do a complete fresh install?

Press Enter - > Chat?
 

Hallo!

I have a question regarding the Chat window.
I always start chatting with enter, but both versions of the chat windows didn't react. With other keys it works but I like the enter-key ;o((

Can somebody help me? I searched the last 10 pages or so here but for others it seems to work.

My issue is ( I guess) because Im running the Goth Theme over my Nightfall.
Zonx said I might be able to do to fix it in reply to my first post, but I am unfortunatly very bad with tech stuff and when I tried to do what he told me would fix it, I Actually made it worse.
But if your more comfortable with that kinda stuff Valesai, maybe you can fix it the way Zonx told me to try to fix mine. And Garick's right Zonx said it has to do with the _FetishStyles.xml . The one in the Goth theme is older and doesnt have some of the same stuff in it as the Fetish latest update does.

Dont know if your running Goth like I am as well, but if ya are thats whats up with it I guess.

Edited: I want to add Gold Rush's Player window....I like the avatar and the hp mp bar setup ....very Warcraftish but I love that player window.

This isnt fetish related but chatbox...non Moded noob days...I had the same problem.....i messed with my chat boxes and and really messed things up...

All i know is hitting enter didnt pull up my cursor....I picked my window and selected always chat here.

Worked...

Dunno if you tried that.....usually overlooking little things cause big headaches I know thats small but could be it.

My problem was I deleted the window where I had the always chat here selected :eek:

I have no clue if I am correct all I know is it started working again.

valesai, black areas are generally caused by 1 or more of the following...

1) Your _FetishStyles.xml is out of date and does not include a style referenced by the problem window.

2) A DDS file is missing from your images directory (ui_qst_jrnl_bg.dds in this case)

3) The window itself is out of date and referencing a style or graphic that has been moved or renamed.

Miriel, this can happen if you have another window open that uses ENTER, like the Market window. Both chat windows accept ENTER normally but the ENTER press can be intercepted by other open windows that use it.

Dynaku, the Fetish Framework is almost entierly self contained and highly resistant to breakage by other mods so long as you preserve the extra includes in eq2ui.xml, eq2ui_inventory.xml and eq2ui_mainhud.xml. Even SOE style changes are unlikely to affect Fetish. 3rd party mods are unlikely to enherit the Fetish skin but shouldn't break anything if installed properly.

Dunno if this was asked before, but I can't find anything on it. It seems they added a new or updated intro movie. With this UI I can't see it. I have the newest version and followed the install correctly.

Anyone else having this issue?

you have to have optional downloads enabled in the launchpad to see the movie - works fine with this ui

A new language popup (accessed using right click on mainchat window) was added in LU19 that doesn't look like it made it in with v6.0. I tried adding in the line in the base popup.xml and using the default window and got it to open but couldn't see any text to choose from. Gonna play with it more but wanted to point it out. Thanks for the great UI :)

If you look back one page to post #1390, Zonx knows he missed this window and added it to that post as an attachment. Download it and add it into your Fetish directory, should work fine.

I installed FetishNightFall 6.0 from scratch, it's a great UI, kudos on this Zonk.

Some things I miss and I give you as a proposal for further upgrade (or maybe already exists and I didn't see it)
- a little button on bank window to open/close all bank bags with a click like Mortis Bank Mod VERY usefull !
- a logout to character window (maybe less usefull now the /camp CharName exists) like the Mahonri's Quick Change Shutdown Window

Is there any way to lock the loot window to a section of the screen. it pops up by default over my hotbars, returning there each time it is opened

I was playing around on an alt, clicked up into the area where my teammates arcane etc pop up and was suprised when i got a new window listing all the possible cures. Its skinned, so I was wondering...was this a feature i missed somewhere? If so its utterly cool !

Also noticed in the default player window the negative effects show up for my character, and was wondering if there was a way to get them to show up on my fetish also?

Leks, "toggle all inventory bags" and "toggle all bank bags" have been available as a keyboard settings in the Options window for a long time. I prefer to keep the default Fetish sets free of redundant functionality. Likewise for the various camp options available from the Camp window. Players wanting these redundant features can install addons or 3rd party mods that contain them.

Atlong, Loot window placement is somewhat hardcoded due to the possibility of multiple loot windows being up. To change the default possition, you'll need to open eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml in Notepad and edit the first instance of Location="xxx,xxx".

hiroprotagonist, yes the Group and Player "Click Cures" feature was listed in the version notes. As for the Player window icons, I botched the code for the icons. The next rev should have them fixed.

Hotkey dragging

For the life of me, I can't figure out why my hotkey drag enable is greyed out. When I right click, both the icon resize and the enable are grey. I'm currently clearing the hotkey and dragging from the book to place icons. I've looked at your hotkey code against default and don't see anything that is standing out. So how have I screwed it up? I'm using your complete set, with no other pieces, and I've not edited anything.... Since others aren't complaining, I assume it's only me.

I had this problem right after LU19. What I finally figured out was the hotkeys that had enable greyed out and I couldnt drag were combat arts that no longer existed. Since I'm lvl 25, all my below lvl 20 CAs changed with the new character progression, but the hotkeys did not update to the new spells. I had to empty each slot and drag and drop from the spell book too. It was that way with the default UI as well as Fetish.

I appreciate the thought and understand why that might have happened to you. However, the character I'm on at the moment (haven't tried any other ) is a necro I created after 19 so I could see the level progression. All I have is the new spells. However, benefit of doubt and all that.. I tried it anyway. I used /clear_hotkey_bank 1 to empty out my one bank and put them all back in... still doesn't work.. Ironically.. hotbar 2 does.. 1,3, and 4 don't.. None have the option of enabling or disabling including hotbar 2.

I always do a complete install except for my market favorites (which is broke... I'll have to compare syntax to Zonx's new one. Probably class related there).

Downloaded 6.0 ..... For some reason I can't see who and what is withdrawling from the guild bank. It doesnt have anything listed in that screen. It is just all black. Think its called Bank Log.

Any ideas what to do?

A minor problem I am having with 6.0:

When editing the guild MOTD - in the past I was able to use "Enter" for a new line, however, now it is "clicking" on the "Update" button and closing the MOTD editor.

So in order to make it work I have been typing things up in notepad then copying and pasting them over..... still would be nice to be able to make changes on the fly again.

I tried to scan through the pages in this thread, and I'm sorry if I missed it, but is there a way to get the quest sliderbar to function? It hasn't worked for me since I first installed v5.2, or any of its further incarnations.

Is it a known UI bug, a config issue, or what? To clarify, I slide the bar, hit the reset key, nothing happens.

skyrocket, Leks, I'll look into the bank log issue. SOE probably rearanged objects in that window which I didn't notice.

Dae'lomdel, yah I noticed that the other day. I just need to remove IsDefault="true" from the Update button. You can try it yourself using Notepad ;)

Branaddar2, that bug was corrected in a recent update (5.4 or 6.0). Make sure you are using the latest eq2ui_journals_active.xml file.

hi guys,

following issue since update to nightfall 6.0:
starting eq2 map-updater --> klick "no" --> game starts directly to this small window where
you can enter username, pwd, character and server -->
no launcher appears. after entering pwd, char and server the game starts normaly with your UI.

ingame when I want to go to character choice screen I also land on this small window.

I have reinstalled your UI several times and I use only nightfall 6.0 no other mods.

any idea?

This is normal behavior when logging in thru the EQ2Maps updater or everquest2.exe rather than the standard shortcut to eq2.exe. This bypasses the EQ2 patcher, using the direct login screen instead.

Once you've logged in this way, camping brings you back to the direct login screen. To reach character sellect, enter the password and server but don't enter a valid character name.

I noticed that DBurgdorf has updated the InfoCenter and I was wondering if there is anything "special" we have to do to update it within Fetish. I tried updating it previously but the scroll bar went missing so I reverted back.

I also am having a bit of trouble with the Infowindow..seems I still cannot edit the notes section. I am also running the Fetish Command Center..is there a change here I missed or a line of code I need to add to get it to work properly again?
