I am having a problem with my splash and character screens not being centered but off to the bottom right. This means that on the character select screen, I am unable to reach the other characters.

I am also getting the "Loading UI resources" hang. I have noticed this twice and both times I had evaced. Both times when I logged back in, I was at my pre-evac point while the rest of my group got evaced. Only once did I drop a shard because of it though ;) .

When I hover over the icons in the hotbar, I get only the two icons of the skill and the corrosponding HO icon. No text. Is this normal and if not how can I fix it?

Thanks again for such a great interface and terrific turnaround time. One day is awesome and when I go back to the vanilla interface for the day, I know what I have in your skin.

What I mean is to drop out of full-screen (Alt-Tab), bring up Task Manager, and select "End Task". Then wait a minute or two while Windows reaps EQ2. And then restart EQ2.

In essence, a kill -9, just that Windows doesn't have anything as nice as kill -9. :rolleyes:

Have all you guys completedly wiped your fetish directory or renamed the old one and made a new one and installed it there?

I have no problems like the ones you guys mentioned. Don't overwrite your old fetish directory use a clean one. Don't install any additional mods unless they have bee approved for LU13. Don't use any older Fetish mods with the old fetishstyles.xml files.

Yes, these are fresh installs of Fetish.

I use Goldi's StartButton as an addon to Fetish; Skharrin does not - he uses a "pristine" Fetish. We have both seen the issue with EQ2 hanging when respawning after death.

the ui hang while respawning happens with the default ui too, not a fetish/custom ui thingy.

hmm, thanks for this info...seems to happen a lot when i have the UI up though...but i do not think i've died in default, just have to put up with 1/2 of a backpack in default

I need to adjust the font sizes for playing the game and I would appreciate any help you all might have.

Not the tooltips or the chat window - I have those ok. I need help with the rest of the ingame text. I need to make the font size bigger for

• conversations
• examining items
• recipe needs
• any little description boxes that pop up. (For example, when a character claimed a monkey today - all the boxes with text about naming it and what was available to claim, and so on.)

I've looked through the various xml files and many of htem have font specifications. I don't want to mess wiht the font size on the spacing or controls so I didn't just do a search & replace.

Which files should I change (or, which files should I leave alone) in order to increase the font size, please?

I'm not a modder, but I would guess it would be in eq2ui_examine.xml (since that's the file that caused a lot of problems with the tool tips for hotkey icons, etc. with the LU 13 patch)

I am also having the problem with only allowing me to trade 6 items instead of 9..... Everything was working fine with old Fetish and once I updated it dropped to 6. I also noticed that I am having an intermittent problem with the "Sort" in the knowledge window. It worked when I checked it but it is not working now....and I didnt change anything....any help??

Enkei_jp, the zoning window is resizable and the default size was made much wider in release 4.4. Your server_character_settings.ini is prbly bugged but you might try right-clicking the window to bring up window settings, then restore it to default. If that fails, try replacing your server_character_settings.ini with one of the provided layouts or trashing it. This will prbly require you to reposition stuff to your liking.

gunth82, this sounds like a memory issue. EQ2 is really bad about managing memory to begin with and will eventually exhibit these symptoms if playing long enough. Its worse on systems with low RAM (annoyingly common with 512k RAM). This entire UI set (particularly the EQ2Maps piece) does use a bit more RAM than the default UI, which will result in these issue happening sooner.

Raydriel, this usually results from installing an EQ2ui.xml file from another mod or the default ui (they use a smaller base screen resolution). You'll need to edit your version in Notepad.

Retnaburn, I'm aware of the feature you refer to and rejected it as a Fetish standard due to the security risk it possed. The versions I've seen require you to save your character name and password in a file that could be read by someone accessing your machine. Please let me know if this isn't the case for Vert and I'll look at that implementation.

Freekin4901, sounds like your eq2ui_examine.xml file is messed up. Reinstall the copy from 4.6. While you're at it, reinstall the eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml from the 4.6 ZIP.

merneith, all the font size settings can be found in FetishStyles.xml (below the <Namespace Name="Fonts"> line) and eq2ui_fonts.xml. Simply change the PointSizes. If you tweak these settings, you'll want to make backups befor installing updates. You'll also have to manually update code when the files change.

Persona Window: note that only the standard file has been updated to be compatable and seams to be working fine on most systems. DO NOT use the configuration tool to install any of the alternate Personabar files, they are all incompatable.

Market Window: I have confirmed more than one SOE side bug with the Market/broker window. Offline seller names and locations do not currently show. Also some items (Tradeskill volumes for example) can not be searched for. These are SOE bugs I can't do anything about.

The new "All Classes & lvls" button label is supposed to wrap. There isn't space for a wider button.

Note: due to several requests, I did bump up the seller font size 1pt. This may cause some cropping when the window is shrunk to a narrow width.

Trade Window: Apparently SOE nerfed 9 item trading. The window still shows 9 slots but only 6 items can be added. Nothing I can do about this except remove the 3 extra slots.

thanks for pointing out the issue with EQ2 hogging memory. I've ordered 2GB now, that should take care of zoning hangs.

Re the "Any Class & lvl" button: I was hasty in my description. It doesn't just wrap, it wraps so part of the text 'lvl' is outside of the button. Screenshot attached.

Lastly - did your homepage move? I was looking for http://rpg.hmimages.com/eq2/EQ2UIEnhancements.doc , also tried www.hmimages.com, no such luck.

Is there a standart UIsetting file for this version? I used one in a previous version, but seems like it wont work with LU13. Dont want to drag each and every Window where it is supposed to be. I'm Lazy.

Two quick questions - in my Fetish directory, the page is titled _Fetishstyles.xml. Does that underscore upfront make a difference?

Also, there's no eq2ui_fonts.xml file in the Fetish folder. It's in the default folder. Should I move it to /Fetish or just ignore it?

Target and implied target windows resizing there self
 

Every time I log in both target and implied targets reset to the default size. Any one know how to fix? Thanks:)

Gumba, thx for the screenshot, I'll look into tweaking the button. Should only be 2 lines not 3. Fonts don't render the same in UIBuilder and I must not have noticed the bad wrap in-game.

Feonir, the provided settings files should work for those screen resolutions but you'll prbly need to move the Persona window. If all else fails, trashing your old settings before logging in should restore the default locations for all windows. You should expect to reposition some stuff if your reso is smaller than 1280x1024 or restoring to defaults.

merneith, yes you need to retain the underscore in the file name. Yes you should copy eq2ui_fonts.xml from the default folder to the Fetish directory if you are making changes.

I can't get my self picking to work where you can target yourself by clicking with your mouse on your person. Anyone else having this issue?

I am having trouble with the tracking window. I have downloaded and installed the most up to date version and everything else is fine but my tracking window is always blank. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I didn't have to save any info myself, just type in my password as usual and also my character name at the login screen. I don't think it saves this info as I had to type in the info every time I started the game.

am i doing something wrong here 4.5 and now 4.6 do not allow me to use broker as the sandart UI does.
I cannot search for class specific or put in a level range for the items i am looking for.

The Alarm/Reminder Window has no text on my installation of 4.6. anyone else experiencing it.

oh another thing, i do crash when i change group options the mini window not the one from ALT+O Options menu with all the other stuff.

speaking of brokers - I'm no longer able to buy things through my marketboard? I though we used to be able to do that before the patch. Now I can browse at my market board but if I want to buy something I have to hunt down a broker.

Is that how it always worked or am I misremembering things?
