Your going to have to just set you resalution that size and move your windows into place, like I would have to do to make the uisettings file. When I get time I'll make more uisettings but for now I just don't have time to.

the delete character and set appearance buttons are not working for me, also under options none of the left side buttons are working i cannot get off the display screen.

What version are you using and have you installed any other modes into extreme?

I need a playlist sample file from the audio player you use. No need to post a MS Media Player one as thats what I use.

The Audio player is coming along great.. Never realy listened to music while playing EQ untill I started this project and I must say its nice to beable to pause,play skip ect while playing :)

I listen to alot of internet radio, so theres some streaming info there as well as some local mp3's.

Exactly how it shows up when i open it in notepad.

I have dual screens so i run eq2 in windowed mode on 1 and use the other for surfin the net, checkin e-mail, aim, etc. I love listening to classical while i play eq, just turn off the ingame music, its so much better and relaxing as well.

p.s. Also, i almost forgot, yesterday was the first day your UI got a full trial under heavy play on my system(8+ hours straight) and i must say, it proved itself worthy :P
However, towards the end it got really buggy, weird windows started popping up that were just boxes of color. And when i would talk to an NPC or go to a broker a window would pop up sayin something like: Cannot write "nektulos_nakaron_uisettings.ini" UI settings cannot be saved. The problem was fixed by rebooting the game, but it kinda spooked me.

Hmm I have no idea what the boxes of colors are or the saveing issue as the UI never enteracts with that file just the game itself, well the installer does but thats it and I'm just guess but I don't think you have the installer up and running.

I had never seen that before it really freaked me out, but whatever, if it happens again ill try to screen shot it.

Had an idea for an easy addition.. could you put a link in the installer to select your own guild logo? I keep forgetting to copy mine back over after I do the install of each new version.

Oh I had forgot all about the guild logo getting removed.. I'll move that image to the user_settings directory so it will not be removed.

After every thing becomes stable and it seems to be real close now, I'll remove the demandatory uninstall. It was just so many files from older verstions where still in peoples eXtreme folder causing bugs, it was the best thing to do at the time.

Yes please do screen shot it if you can. Thats the best way to report freaky bugs like that. A pic is worth a 1000 words.. well so they say. lol

Loot Select Window
 

Did not see anything on this with the latest version. Loot select window is only showing one item. Wondered about this with the Snowglobe for the Holiday quest, was only being offered one when Quest Window shows two. Having now gone back to doing Grifter Instance Quests.. should be offered 3 types of coins.. only one choice is given. The rest are not showing. I tried to remove eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml but apparently this is not the file controlling this window. Please advise. Have only been able to choose Freeport Snowglobe and am a Qeynos Citizen.

To add a little more to this, just did a quest with more than 3 choices, at this point it did bring up a scroll bar.. still would only show the topmost selection in box, the bottom where there should be two more are unable to be seen or in anyway selected (norm 3 selections of coins with Grifters quests).

If you or anyone knows what file this window is, would like to remove to have default back till it can be looked into, thank you.

Post a screen shot please. I would of thought it was the loot.xml file also.

Try eq2ui_popup_RewardPack.xml and see if thats it.

eq2ui_popup_RewardPack.xml seems to be the culprit. I removed and am now back to the default window which is showing up to 3 loot choices once again (without an added scroll bar for more choices)

Miss the old tabbed journal showing writs been hoping that you could bring it back. But in meantime would adding another journal to this UI cause any problems?

It shouldn't be any issue, but why not just add the info to notes?

This happened to me two nights ago. I was probably in my 10th hour of being online. When any update would happen, i would get yellow boxes where the letters should have been. I would also get the same errors about the server_toon_uisetting.ini file every few minutes. I will get screen shots if it happens again.

Hmm two of ya.. I just don't see how this could be a UI issue other then eq leaking memory and causing it not to be able to display the correct images. Because if it was the UI it would do it at first and it surly has no controle over you uisettings file that is pure EQ2. Being that bout of you reported the game reported an error about writing to the uisettings file I am lead to beleave its somthing happening in the game client and not in the UI it self.

I'll search through SOE forums and see what I can find.

eXtremeUI CP & Audio Player
 

Going to post the updated control panel here for you guys to test out.


Changes from what I can remember

• Map updating has been improved a tad
• Added a audio player that can be controled by reading the log file
• added a settings tab so you could set up how the control panel should will operation when ran and ect.

Audio Player

• Can play just about any thing but .mov files.
• you save save the files you add to a play list
• have it auto load the play list when ran.

Looking to add

• Play list suport for Windows media player, winamp and any others you guys suggest.
• Hmm
• Suggest some things..

Just unzip into your extreme directory.

In the settings tab, set what word you want the player to tigger what command with. exmp. I use mp3play in the play filed for the play command. Then in game I type /say mp3play and it plays. Note it will trigger off the work mp3play so you can do /g,/em,gu,/t mp3play and it'll play. Hopefully the next update I'll have an interface built for it in the UI :) If testing goes well that is.

eXtremeUI CP is coded with Delphi 5 wich is basicaly object pascal. WIndows 98 or greater is needed to run extremeui CP.

I havn't really tested it under a heave load like a raid or such as I havn't logged into EQ2 for any lingth in a bit. ( mostly due to this project lol ). I havn't been able to tell any changes in game play while its been running in the background but I am using 1G of ram so results maybe worse with less ram.

Any way put it though the ringer and make suggestions. Now to address issues with the ui..:P

Hmm OOppps.. I left a test button on the settings tab lol.. all it does is lounch EQ2. lol

UI Settings File Error

I am also having the same issue with the error that pops up about unable to write the ui_settings file and the pop-up writing that looks like blocks. I get this when I 'quicklog' a lot. It doesn't seem to happen to me any other time.

Might want to search there. Maybe it's not allowing enough time to dump the cache before opening up the other characters.

Ya found that button :D it opened EQ2 and a whole string of neverending can't find something boxes :eek:

Okies that aside ... problem... not sure what happened...

I launched the eqmap updated (kewl feature) and have it set up to launch EQ2 ... very nice ... everything is fine and dandy save for horrible load times and lag (amd2800+, 2GB Dual Channel Kit, on a 120GB Sata HD) ... Found out that the CP was running 99% of my CPU resources (had to dump out of EQ2 then opened up the taskman)

I also did have it open a logfile and parse at lounch (ya typo but thats how it is on the prog :D )
umm ya tis lounch EQ2 when complete too .. :rolleyes:

Now I did unselect the parsing and opening of a log file and everything is back normal ...

Then went windowed mode and selected a log file and hit the parsing switch and didn't go spazzy ... not sure what happened .. was odd .. definatly let you know if it happens again

As all these things where set in my reg and never gave me any trouble. But on deleteing all the saved settings in the registry wow.. nasty. It was trying to load a playlist even though none existed same for the log file. Thus all the can't open bla bla bla.. lol

No screenshot, but can confirm the same problem. I'll try the reward xml
