To reset your UI for a character, you can go to your EQ2 folder and delete or rename servername_charname_eq2_uisettings.ini. This will allow you to pick your settings again which will reset everything to the proper place.

For you bags, you can go to the ProfitUI folder and delete or rename the file eq2ui_inventory_bag.xml. This should set your bags back to the default UI, which I believe is larger.

To change your inventory window back to the default UI, you would delete or rename the file eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I hadn't thought of removing the customized files for those windows. I could also just go in there and fiddle with them. I'll see what I can come up with :)

Okay, I admit I'm a noob as far as this interface topic...

I have ProfitUI, and I love it - EXCEPT: for some reason in the group window, where it shows status ailments for the party (out to the side of the health bar), the only ones I ever show are trauma and arcane.

I'm a templar, so my job is to keep everyone healthy - which includes getting rid of all four of the debuffs, but I only can tell if people have trauma or arcane - noxious and elemental do not show at all (well, they show on ME, but not on my group).

Any suggestions?

Unlock the window, and expand it sideways =) They'll show up, trust me =)

Hello, I just downloaded this UI a couple days ago, and i must say I LOVE it ! I had no troubles installing it whatsoever and it merged right in with EQ2map which is great. I love all the features of this UI, first and foremost the broker window ! and the quest journal ! Love it all though keep up the great work !

I only have 1 question and I don't know if its a bug or just a cosmetic issue or what. I have a 70 bruiser who's one AA path is the Wisdom line which leads to the skill that gives a chance at a Crushing AoE attack on a successful melee attack. When i turn on this buff though it does not show up in the personae window? (see screenshot) I relogged a few times.. i made double sure it was on but nothing i do makes it show up in the my stats window. Just curious more than anything and if it is a bug just posting some feedback :) Other than that this UI is flawless for me !

Thats a skill that has a chance to poc an aoe, its not the same as an AOE attack. Thats just my thought, The information that he has in the window is being pulled from SoE its nothing that he is doing wrong, nor nothing he can fix.

I think swash have a ability that allowed them to auto attack AoE, which is diffrent than yours, which is an aoe proc.

Hi I did a fresh install of EQII yesterday along with this UI, when i logged into game i noticed that i have a mix of the original UI + the Profit one, i installed it to the place it said to do so, but it doesnt seem to have worked, is it worth removing the orignal game UI and replacing it totally?

basically deleting the default and replacing it with the files from Profit?

If you're talking about removing the UI\default folder or files in it, that won't do anything. The game patcher makes sure that directory exists and has all the files in it every time it runs. Downloading the files from Sony if necessary.

Ahh ok, that explains it then what i did was stick the Profit UI over the top of the default folder, so i take it when i go to play the game it would repatch what i have ovewritten, makes much more sence.

sorry bit of a noob when it comes to UI's only ever used them in DAoC :)

ill give it another go tonight see if i have more luck.

anyone know if with the Profit there are problems with transfer character server to server, because after that the service is completed, I reboot Eq2 but my character there isn't.
Can it be th Profit the problem?

If your characters aren't showing on Launchpad (where you see the patches downloading before you click on the Play button) then it's not the UI it's an SOE problem.

Until you select which character you want and click "Play" the UI isn't loaded.

Is it possible that you moved between ywo regions (example form an US server, say Guk, to any EU server say Splitpaw) ?!? If so you will need to change the region form "english (us)" to "english (eu)" just before you press the 1st liecence agreement after launching the launchpad

Broker ui error
 

On the broker screen. in the preset dropdown menu the saguaro roots and figwart roots show up blank. you need to drop the 's' off the end of it to preset look for the product.

I am a great fan of ProfitUI and EQ2 Maps. I am however having some problems

First off, I have downloaded the latest version of both UI programs. And I also have the Auto-Updating version of the EQ2 Maps, but it seems to not work for me for some reaosn. I have posted about this problem here. I will not go into major detail here, but I wil say this, once I do get the AU version of EQ2 Maps, I will need a walkrhrough on how to install this UI with EQ2 Maps so they both work properly.

So in conclusion, I need a walkthrough on how to install both the Manual Version of EQ2 Maps and ProfitUI Ii Reborn, a walkthrough on how uninstall the manual version of EQ2 Maps, and a walkthrough on how to install the Auto-Updating version of EQ2 Maps so ProfitUI II will work correctly.

Has anyone been able to find a fix for the Raid Window crash that is generated from moving people around as raid leader?

It basically looks like this:

Being gm9 is on vacation I'll answer you;

Just install Prophit like you normally would. Then run the EQ2MAP AU, Tell it where EQ2 is located on your hard drive and it'll put all the files in the correct place. ( ok it "should" put them there )

OK, I don't know if it's me or not... but, I've tried to reinstall the UI several times to see, and also tried to reinstall the game, but that doesn't work either (I go to extremes sometimes, LOL). Anyways, on the Persona Bar, where you click above your name to set AFK, LFG, LFW, and if in a group, Group Options. The problem is, you can't see what it is you're clicking on half the time till you click it. It's a minor annoyance, but in the Screenshot (for an older version) you can clearly see these labels. They do light up once you click them, but not being able to see them beforehand is kinda odd. I know all of them can be set by using chat commands (/afk, /lfw, /lfg, and /groupoptions) but I don't like having to do that if I don't have to.

Basically, was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, and perhaps a fix or something can be done for it? Thanks in advance :D !!!

Is this LU26 compatible or will it be soon, because Eq2 wont load at all , even with the default UI skin :( so... i dont know what to do. Tryed eXtreme UI but doesnt work :S, iv just installed EQ2 a few days afo after formating. Can someone help?

Hi,
There appears to be a bug in the Raid window.
Whenever you attempt to drag raid members between groups it seems to cause a complete game crash.
This has happended several times to me recently and to our guild raid leader who uses reborn as well.
Those using the default Ui appear to have no problems.

well guys, everytime i start my game...i find about 8 Chat windows all over the screen. I delete ´em all and /save_uisettings. Next time i start the game i got the same problem...any idea ?

Yeah, I saw gm9's reply from the other page..I was wondering if he, or anyone else, had come across a fix is all. :)

The text on the hotbars can be turned off using the Frame and Title Opacity sliders in the window settings for each hotbar ... hope that's what you meant :)

Great UI!

I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion how to prevent or make it more difficult to accidently change the hotbar when clicking on the leftmost button. I try to click on the right side of that button to prevent changing hotbars, but sometimes my aim is not good.

Sorry, I wasn't clear on what text I wanted to kill. I meant the maintainted spells window. I dont want or need to see the spell name or expiration timers. So, I know just enough XML to be dangerous but there was no way I could edit the Profit eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml file so I just renamed it and copied my old one into the Profit folder and that got rid of the text.

Hmmm, since the update this morning i am crashing when trying to log in a char :( .

Same issue here. Unfortunately it's Profit because if I switch back to default I can log right in :mad:

I hope GM9 has a nice vacation, and will be looking for his fix.... in a few days :(

After reading other UI threads and experimenting on my own, it's the start button/command center that is causing the crash. I deleted these files from the Profit folder and logged right in.

My problem was not profit related. i was still using Thor inventory which was causing th crash.
