Sounds like a great Idea, but I'm not one of the people can answer that. :)

That would be awesome:) i have been discouraged by the post view to download ratio lately :p
just put the project team instead of "Quib and Friends" pls :) I earned my piece of the pie hehe |
something like this... then when maps.eq2interface.com is finished I can add a link to that.

Back on topic... Do you think it would be helpful if I made a forum for EQ2MAP instead of just 1 700 post thread? |
A forum on the maps.eq2interface.com would be great
and a devs only thread would be cool too. If you do end up doing that i suggest locking this thread:) I suggest making more of a point on the maps. Maybe even listing em all. I say this because it sounds like all we did is the newbie zones. Higher lvl people just wont care. I have plans on doing Nektulos castle as soon as possible, and Condemned Catacombs soon after. I dunno....i just dont want to have the higher lvl dudes wave it away:) |
edited, hows that?
OT: I'm working on adding project groups to the site and each project would get a forum and a dedicated download section and possibly a subdomain webpage. In the usercp scroll down to Group Memberships and you can see I'm starting to work on it (the project leader can approve/deny people to joining their project). Then I would have some type of application process to start a project here. This would be for mods that many people are helping with. |
Wow, a lot has come up while I was away this morning. I want to get a new map screenshot (probably of one Tony made) and am adding diztorded to the core project team; they've contributed quite a bit. Am rewriting some of the readme file and getting everything together for another official release later today.
A post at that place sounds like it would be great advertisement for our little project we have going here. Quib |
I'll wait for your new release then to post the above then.

just to let you guys know, im planning on modifying my zonrect calculator to *hopefully* be able to take a direct copy and paste from the wonderful POI page from maps.eq2interface, plus the zonerect and then use it to generate the xml. It will most likely be this weekend because my week is gonna be pretty busy, and i haven't done any kind of thing like this before with vb.net so it will be a learning process for me at the same time :D

Eeeee! That'd make things so easy!
Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well. Part of why I'm redoing the acknowledgements section of the readme, is this project has gotten to the point where it's important that everyone get the credit due. Your zonerect calculator has been extremely helpful, yet you get a simple one liner two lines below SoulPl. Attaching the new readme and project file for people to review and make sure they're accurate. If you think you've been left out unfairly, leave a post here or PM me. Quib |
AT : Stormhold (III) | In Progress | None
Should be: AT : Stormhold (III) | Zone Rect/Alignment Needed | None Wow- We have our own category. :) |
Hehe, I got screenshots of the loc arrow in various corners on SH floor 3 a couple days ago and was planning to throw it in as a "surprise." So... surprise!

now that there is a whole forum for this it will be possible to split the thread up into more than one. :nana: make it easier to find exactly what you are looking for :D whoever thought to make this into a whole forum had a good idea.
|
This thread is so fricken hudge wouldnt know where to start to split it. It would be best just make a new POI thread, Map thread, etc.

OMG, I didnt know all that was gonna happen, I better make the site a bit more pretty ASAP :) thanks dolby
I'd just like to take this time to boast that the site is 100% pure hand written PHP, which I did not know anything about more than a week ago :nana: |
Wow, Eloa. You did a bang-up job, regardless of whether you knew PHP or not - I'm impressed greatly.
|
It will be a bit before its posted.
I agree Eloa did a great job. |
Only saw a couple of issues, and yes Eola did a great job.
Issue 1: Under the About EQ2MAP heading on the menu, the link called xxWhat is it? Returns the following error: Warning: main(aboutqm.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php on line 58 Warning: main(): Failed opening 'aboutqm.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /index.php on line 58 Issue 2: Under the Submit Information heading on the menu, the link calledxxQuests Returns the following error: Warning: main(submitquest.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php on line 58 Warning: main(): Failed opening 'submitquest.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /index.php on line 58 Issue 3: Under the Browse Information heading on the menu, the link calledxxQuests Returns the following error: Warning: main(viewquests.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php on line 58 Warning: main(): Failed opening 'viewquests.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /index.php on line 58 Maybe I missed something on the Main Page Readme stating that those options did not work yet. But just incase I wanted to let ya know.l |

Tony, what map are you most proud of? I'm trying to figure out which map to have showing in our basic screenshot. I've taken Zonx's reworking of your Varsoon maps and done my own work on them and they might be good for today's release if you approve of them. Attaching them to this post for your approval.
