If you check the "Skip Tutorial" checkbox when creating your character, you won't have to listen to it, as you will skip the boat part and start on the IoR at Level 2.

problem with vitality %
 
My vitality % does not seem to be displaying correct info. I am a casual player, so my vitality is always 80+ %. After loading fetish nightfall it displays my vitality % at 22 - %.

I don't see anybody else reporting this so I am wondering now if it is something I am doing ??

Whenever I turn in a quest, the game crashes and something pops up, havnt written it down yet though. The only way I can get back in the game is if I turn off the UI, accept my quest reward, log out and turn UI back on.

A few things...
 
First off, really enjoy the UI. Now for my queries.

A) I understand there is a known map issue. I just wanted to say that as far as I can tell most of my maps seem to work to some degree (although I wouldn't notice if some POI's were missing) with the exception of the Commonlands. I have no POI's appearing there, nor will the minimap version of the zone(s) appear. Another thought about maps... is there a way to bring up a zone map that you are not neccessarily in? For example, the Commonlands is split into two maps. It would be useful to be able to either scroll or page over to the opposite half of the map to plot travels.

B) I may be a total n00b for asking about this, but I hav enot been able to figure out how to make change at the banker on either Fetish UI. Please advise.

C) Bag reset. Well, as I have read in previous posts, bags both in person and in bank seem to get altered from where I last locked them and I need to reset them each time I log on. Not an interface breaker, but an annoyance.

That's all for now. Just wanted to say I appreciate your efforts in making and maintaining this great UI. I also want to thank the rest of you for your advise and patience!

I'll add more if it seems appropriate.

I was playing while using this interface and suddenly had all my ui windows get dark backgrounds and visible borders. Not sure if i hit a key that made that happen or not. Can't seem to get it to reset. Any tips?

Sounds like you hit F10. hit it twice more to get everything back to normal. Not sure if it saves through logging or not, if not, it may be back to normal next time you log in.

Not sure if this is a problem with Nightfall or with ger's Alternate POI Icons, but when I install his icons, they show up in the map, but they are TINY. Am I doing something wrong?

Still not able to get my map to work properly. It will show where I am (arrow on screen) but none of the POI's or markers that indicate which direction is what part of Freeport, like which way to go to enter West, N, S, Mariners bell. I have DL's the newest EQ2 map. Please help with this, it really sucks not having some POI's.

I agree, please fix the EQ2Map part of your mod. Other colors would be nice to have as an option as well for FetishNightfall.

The lack of auto-banking is a minor nuisance compared to the map not working right.

Since the latest patch where the large collectors bag has been resized to 24 slots, the bag still only shows 20 in game. I know the other 4 slots are available since I did this download and install after the patch.

POI's for MapMod not working.

Mini map in many area's not working(black), or displaying last zone.

Would like to say that this is an Exellent piece of work and keep going total effect is AWSOME.

One more suggestion - I thing it would be great to have one alternative with design closer to original EQ2. Maybe NightFall may look too much "technical" interface in fantasy world.
I mean original design elements in places where they remains, like Chat border, chat TABs and somewhat HP and Mana meters. Maybe it would be good to have nono curved meters, just straight ones with more fantasy looking bars inside it.
But all functionality remain to be same as in today's NightFall.

Since no one else posted any problems with baggs or Boxe sizes am i the only one who cant see Huge Collector's Pouch 30 slots or the Teak Strong Boxes slots?
I read about dynamic Baggs in the word document but it didnt look to me that this would be responsible for displaying a wrong baggsise.

Any info would beappreciated.

Your UI is highly efficient. For those of us who play on "less-than-stellar" machines, and don't run at the higher resolutions, maximization of the space available is a lifesaver.

Thank you for taking the time to make this UI and my play experience that much better.

So far, I am only having a couple of issues.

----I am having trouble with autorunning. I use the keypad for movement, and the number lock is my autorun. However, if I am in chat, I can't get out of it without hitting enter. I know there is a option to remedy that, but I already have it tabbed to "always" and it doesn't seem to be working for me. People are complaining about me saying "Yeah, we could go to Nek, but I 4444444444444"

----Also, and I may be out to lunch on this, but I could have sworn that I used to have my chat background go dark not only when I "moused over", but also when I received any information or just started typing. My chat window stays clear now when someone sends me a tell or I just start typing (it still goes dark when I "mouse over"). Am I missing something, or has that option been removed in your UI?

I also am having the bag problem, but I imagine you are already aware of that, and will be offering a fix soon =)

Great job. You make eq2 more fun!!!

A few bag issues:

I can not see how to view the new extra 4 or 10 bag slots.
Also another (more) example(s) in the doc file would help me.

Have you thought about an installer to set up for features and resulation?
The installer would rename all those optional files and allow a bit of a clear description. I guess it woild be a Fetish installer switcher.

There is a new feature in the quest journal that is not showing up on yours. On the completed page it now has a total of how many quests have been completed. Hope to see this in yours soon as it beats having to go out to eq2players each day to see the latest updates.

Found a bug when trying to pick a new char trait...

I recently lvled to 16 on my summoner, and I get a new mastery spell, however when i click the green pluss, the window opens, but there is nothing there. Its just a blank window, and i am unable to pick my new mastery skill.

love the UI

however after i level to 44 i was unable to select a racial trait
the windows appeared but nothing was in there
switched back to default ui and was able to choose one from there

Yep, racial trait window doesn't work. Also with the xp bar again... the level is in the wrong spot. It should be right by the class name and the mentor level to the left of it because that gap looks weird...

Beta 3 looks great, but I am still using the dynamic bags from beta 2, as I really like my 66%, 2-column bags/bank boxes.

The tracking window looks great, but it would be nice if turning off the title bar actually saved us some space. As it is now, all it does is hide the word Tracking. Is it possible to make it so that hiding the title bar moves the close button down next to the con selectors so that the con selectors are the top line of the window?

I really like your mod, but I would like to see examine windows like these, or maybe someone could help me figure out how to modify these to use the nightfall border colors and close box. I already managed to make them use the nightfall background, but I don't have a clue as to how to change the border and button styles.

I downloaded and am using this UI, one glitch I'm experiencing is the training option window that is now active on my lvl 12 brawler .. when I open the window I have no selections both sides of the box screens are completely blank. Thus making it impossible to make a choice so that the darn annoying green highlighted box goes away.

Bug on Character Customization
 
not sure what its called, but you know the big + you get at certain levels?

well when i got one tonight, the text windows for my choices, and the text for what the description of the choice was....were both blank.

no way to select them, stuck with the plus sign, and can no longer get quest credit.

not to worry though, i just moved the EQ2.ini and relogged, selected the mastery with the default UI and loaded yours back up.


AWESOME interface, wish i had the time and knowledge to do one myself, until then, i will keep using yours :nana:

Working on the Advancement Choice window now. Trouble is, I had to lvl a toon up to 8 to debug this.

Expect to have a patch for this, the minor text alignment issue with the XP window and possibly a few other minor things tonight.

So far these appear to be the only bugs with Beta 3.


Regarding reskining other mods to match the Nightfall theme...
Most things can be done with a few edits in Notepad. I suggest opening the Nightfall version next to the replacement file. Find objects in both files with matching names then replace the following properties with values from the Nightfall version:

Style
RstyleDefault
Color
BackgroundColor
TextColor

If you reskin something for Nightfall, plz upload it as an Add-on for others to use ;)

Trait Window
 
As Truspirit said, you cannot select a trait when you level up. Other than that, the UI is perfect for me. I'm running my resolution at 1920x1200, and most other UI's I've tried have been too hard to read. Your UI is the just right size without taking up too much room. A++

I have found a couple things with Beta 3 that could use addressing:

1. Gap between button to toggle buffs on/off and window title in tradeskill window causing clipping (Woodworking Table becomes Woodworking Tab)

2. When buying from an NPC merchant, window width cannot be made wide enough to allow long item names to be on one line.

3. On XP window, Adv. Level and TS Level should line up vertically.

This UI is treating me great, yet there is one thing I would love it if you could change or put up an addon that would fix..... It seems that on the loot window I am unable to decline loot without hitting the X in the upper right whereas in the default UI there is a decline button.... Looking into the code I couldnt find a reason for this and or how I would fix it. Thanks

Bug report -

Large Collector's Pouch is only showing 20 of it's 24 slots. Teak boxes may have the same problem.

This mod owns! I recommend it to everyone, SOE should hire you to make their interface up to snuff.

Wishes:

Right click on map to add bullets with info.

Make the inventory screen have a button you can press to popup a sizeable bag inventory menu, and/or make it condense to only show bags.

Other reports have confirmed this bug fixed with Beta 3. Please varify you're running Beta 3 with bag files included in that download. Also post the bag file name as it appears in the ZIP if you can.

Resolves all reported issues to date.

Need confirmation that Group Loot Decline button works.

If no bugs (as opposed to requests) are reported in the next 3 days, I'll do an official release ahead of schedule.

I love this mod! :nana:

I actually came here to post the Character trait bug (empty of any text when selecting a charachter trait.) But see many have already done so.

Then i thought about something else i was going to ask. Is it possible to remove the background image from the chat boxes easily? I want to be able to control the transparency but not get that wood like image behind it just a solid colour. Also is it easy to control this colour?

Is this something i could do myself? (I can edit a a text file but know nothing of xml etc...)

Found a bug in the store window this morning as I was going into merchant mode... The currently highlighted item in the Store window is not visible, as the highlight completely hides it.
