I am sure if you search really deep into either this thread or the Perdition one itself you may just find the zip attached to a post you need.. as I am sure it was uploaded by the guy that made them to the forum. Actually all I think he did was mess with the RGB settings to get the different coloured backgrounds .

Sorry I haven't been very active here for a while now.. I have had to pull my head out the sand so to speak with my 2 real life business I run and doing that is taking up 17 hours a day!! ... I have UI's updated now but havent had chance to log into EQ to see if they working.. I will hopefully post updates tomorrow.. :)

lol thanks i'll look through it later i'm about to pack for a trip... i think the solid purple is there but i don't remember the neon, i'll check it, but your UI seems to still be working here =) nothing messed up about it lately and I understand real life it happens! hehehe

Problems with LFG Window
 

Hi Laffs,

let me start off by saying that i love this UI. I have been using it since i started EQ2 and can't imagine using anything else.

I have been having a problem with the LFG window, it shows up and i can see the icons but everything else is black making it unusable

Keep up the awsome work, i hope t keep using this UI :D

I believe I fixed that problem a while back now, Please delete your old LAFFSV8 folder and download the latest .zip of the UI

I am sure this is posted somewhere but since GU40 i seem to be having a couple minor issues with my ui. where the bag hotbuttons used to be beside the journal window is only a big back hole and my mana bar has disappeared as well.

atleast you're alive! yea!!! and i'm missing that there is something about a detrimental effects window that was introduced with the patch perhaps this is what we are missing in the ui :) hope you get things fixed up soon

well i got adventurous and found how to stop it from saying you stupid! you are missing a window each time i zoned. hehe but i have yet to be able to bring up the mainhud.inventory window nor the mana bar. any suggestions as to how to bring them up? i have tried the /show window (or /show_window) commands... won't work for the inventory block as was suggested in the tayjae bottom by perdition window.

I have tried those solutions the /show_window solution. i haven't been brave enough to do more than add a line in the eq2ui.ini file but never saw the mainhud.inventory in the list of the file. that's why i was asking for other help about those two windows... :)

what was the top window /show_window command? i've tried the two in the other post. I got the mana bar up... is there something else i can use? :)

I am quite surprised that the "fake" inventory window still works at all !

Most windows like that are tied in with the player window and the compass window far as I recall (without looking at code) .. that means that in game if you "toggle" the visibility of the said windows then the "others" will / should pop into view ... or at least it used to work that way.

From what I have been reading it looks as if there has been massive changes since I been gone... It was a struggle to keep this dinosaur running to start with , Though the bulk of it runs on the same format as Laffs Lite now apart from a few things like the fake inventory..

Far as I have heard Laffs Lite still works fine but is missing the new windows and a couple of buttons maybe... Not bad given the time scale I would say :)

I still do not have time to update or even play EQ at the moment.. if and when I do then Laffs Lite will be the first to get fixed .... or maybe I just use Profit or eXtreem like almost everyone else does instead LOL

Alright i don't know what it was but apparently it is VERY sensitive to how you type the command and window i finally got the fake inventory window up, the inventory isn't what I need i wanted the stats, zone and quest indication :) now i just need to see about getting them started up always heh perhaps i will learn the XML needed to edit these to keep it running

I sure would not start to learn Sony xml with this mod, but good luck anyway :)

There is only one other person on this forum that I know of that could possibly help you get this updated (before I get the time to) as he is / was quite familiar with the UI a long time back now ... I will not say who.. but I know he will read this and if time allows maybe he will help..

hey don't worry about it laffs! RL is > the game and mod. it works and i was able to get the windows to show up (functionality i need is in the UI currently) but i'd of course welcome a fully integrated UI ( i have a few other add ins and two of them are still lagging behind the kunark release.
