When u use arrows to toggle between tabs you can move to the right but not back to the left.

This is a known Sony issue.

The easiest way to fix it, imo is...

resize the window, even if you do not move it alot, it will show all the tabs back up including the ones that disapeared on the left.

thanx for the time you put in guys .. not sure if its a bug but when i use the httl and enter a web address after a while it shuts down game :D

Font Sizing
 

Installed complete set... Works great...Excellent job... Having problem with font size. Fonts my computer is using are too big for boxes. My screen resolution is running at 1900x1200 and I used the highest that you had available on the installer. Checked "use my resolution" first time to install and not all the UI components showed up. Any suggestions?

Reward window
 

Here is a screenshot of the reward window only showing the first item.

I can verify eq2ui_popup_rewardpack.xml is the one that needs removed to get the reward selection back.

Ok just downloaded the 2.18.1 version. Only had enough time to install it and log on to make sure it was up and running cuz got to run out for a few, but did notice 2 glitches...or one, not sure if there same thing. When you first log into game, were the "Guilg Logo" used to be is a big white box. Also noticed that there is a white box in middle of screen as well when zoning. Like I said, dont have time to test more of it cuz got to go but will check rest out later. Thanks again for all your time and effort with this UI, its great!

oh yea:P ROAR!! For move your guild_log.dds file to user_setting\images folder.

Pet Window .. No Pet buttons :eek:

Got the Pet Health bar but no buttons to control my minion .. he's all over the zone harrassing all those he's not suppose to be :D

Please help a conjuror keep control of their pet... Chaos and Pandemonium could ensue soon :D :eek:

Raesoth, being you have a pet and I don't. Tell me what you would like in a pet window and the commands do to it, and I'll will do my best to get them in as soon as you give me the info. :)

Actually, the pet buttons are there fine. Just go into the properties for the window that has the pet health and change it from None to Frame and voila, pet buttons :nana: or at least that's how it worked for my Necro.

Could not save UI settings.
 

I had a wierd problem yesterday. A message popped up and said that EQ2 could not save my characters UI settings.
Then my UI started to have probelms with items disappearing in my bags and hotkeys disappearing.

So I switched to another character and the same thing happened. after that I just shutdown and went to bed.

So today i get on and no problem.

I just wanted to say something, see if you had any thoughts.

I had the same thing happen to me a couple days ago before the latest update ... also happened to a guildie who wasn't using eXtreme ... But here it happened to me was going from profile 1 to 2 then zoning then went back to 1 and after that the error's hit .. However my guildie was just zoning often when it hit. It hasn't happened since so I'm hoping it was a random thing. But what I noticed was the text would just go black .. like only the alpha was showing. Then buttons went black then the UI error message .. I just camped to desktop and came back and everything was fine.

I'll try that ... and yes the pet button was just fine .. (Can't remember if the follow me button is working yet)

However if I come up with a couple small changes would you consider putting them in ... just slightly cosmetic)
Also .. can the pet window be sizable (scalable) .. I'm stuck on a yucky 1280 res and I moved a couple windows around and now my pet bar overlaps the gap where the target would go (ok when I have no target but if thows the look off if I have no target .. also overlaps the implied) If it isn't then no biggie

As far as I can tell this isn't an issue with eXtreme persay. I have got this once and it was after playing all day as in 8+ hrs. The UI and UI does not write to any file, the game itself does. So I am lead to beleave from the error I got and the error that others have reported that this is more of a client issue then a UI issue.

So do some of you prefer the buttons to the icons? I noticed that the icons acted kind of like a toggle button but flashed when activated. I am sure I can make the buttons act in the same manner but do you want them flashing?

CP problems again


Thought I'd try out the CP again.. I have a playlist loaded .. I chose a log file and had it set to parsing on start .. updated the map and bang .. 99% resources .. game was taking about 10 mins to load the zone .. forced to window mode and shut down the CP .. back to normal ..

I'm thinking there's something with the parsing on launch thats taking the load time.. I have a log file that is large .. I don't delete the thing and has been on since day one :D :eek:

Maybe its loading the file I don't know ... haven't tried smaller log files or not.

My Quicklog info vanishes everytime I load the CP
Can we have a multiple account support for the quicklog? (I have 2 accounts with a lot of mains but only use 4-5 on a regular bases so the 10 slot would be fine)

I havn't been able to test it on a LARGE log file, as I prune mine day to day. I'll let it build up in size though and see.

What do you mean by your quicklog info vanishes? The info that you enter isn't being saved or the info you have isn't being loaded or neither?

It isn't possable to get the quick log to log off one account and onto another because the ui has no access to the patcher page. The only way it could do it, is to bypass the patcher but then it would total break the quick log for single account people.

I enter the quicklog info then I load the game and the quicklog info isn't in the game and when I go back into the CP what I typed in is gone.. like its not saving the stuff.

Oy .. ya my log is about 135MB in size .. umm time to make a backup I guess :D

You need to update the xml file, its not automatic, when you update it will update the notes and quicklog. Do to the way MSXML handels xml files it was just easier to code it that way. To update goto File->update.

Ahh ok, that is what I was missing. Maybe you should change that to "Update Notes File" or something like that

Yes I will, I can see how it could be taken many other ways other then update you changes. Things like this is just the kind of input I need, keep it commen:)

Big XP #'s Missing & Health HUD

Not sure what's happening but I'm missing the large numbers that indicate your XP% in the upper left corner when you click to change. All I have is the stats and the screen settings but when I click the 3rd time, it's blank.

Also, I can't get the health HUD to come up (unless it's behind a window and I just don't see it). I just installed v2.18.1a and those are the only errors I see so far.

Yes noticed that on the live servers the other day. I am creating a font just for exp so all the nubers line up correctly. I am sure there are utilities out there that will do this for me but I don' t know a lot about fonts so I prob am doing it the hard way lol.. It'll be back in the next update sorry about that.

As far as the HUD mine seems to be working. Well I have never turned it off, I'll test it and see if I can't get it to not show up.

one of my new alts picked up that one item too many :( , but I can't seem to find the item to 'move to inventory'. what should a fella do to fix that?

if you are using 1.18.0 or greater it will be in your inventory window bottom row, second column from last.

Quick Character Switch Idiot Guide Needed
 

I once saw line by line instructions on how to set up the quick switch between characters, but I can't seem to find it again. Can one of you techies plz spell it out for those of us that are computer challenged?

Whenever I get kicked to character select screen if I don't exit out of EQ2 and log back in all my health bars stay locked on green (mine, pets, targets, target of target) makes playing really hard. Does this happen to anyone else or is this just some issue of mine?

For the quick switch, check the Quick Logging tab on the ExtremeUI control panel.

For the Health Bars, that is an SOE Bug. The only way it will be fixed is for eveytime you experience it do a /bug report.

I have the exact same issue with the missing large letter XP, I get the 2 windwos for stats and settings but the 3rd is blank.

I have a pet and his bar was blank as well but I fixed that by turning on the frame in the window settings.

I thought it might be the same issue for the big XP text but going into window settings for that window I dont' seem to be able to change it from "None" as when I hit the dropdown there are no other options (or at least they don't show in the list and I have no way of scrolling in the list if there was another option)

The big exp numbers will make their return in 2.19. I would update it now but I have already added a lot of the stuff that is going in on LU19 and I think this would create more trouble reports, So I'll just hold off till LU19 goes live then I'll release.

I have also moved the stats out of the exp window and into a stat strip that will span across the top or bottom part of the screen. With the new stats SOE is providing it was just to cramped to keep it there and be readable.

My wife and I use this UI a lot and we both like it but I was wondering if it's just me not setting things up right but when I have effects that proc on me and fill up the maintained spells box once I go above the first line it micronizes to really really small buff icons I can't really make out is there a way for me to possibly reduce the original size slightly and make it a double row or something? I play in a 1280x1024 mode not sure if this matters.

Also I have my last bag which is like spread out in one big line while my other bags are in columns 4 across. How can I make that last bag appear like all the others?

A while ago you used to have a double set of hotbars where the single one is, below the target box. Is there a reason it was changed from two rows to one row?

Theese aint major bugs per se just changes I noticed and am sorry to say are hard for me to get used or that I don't like. I know somethings may be real complicated to fix and if they are no worries I will make do with what I have but it never hurts to ask

The maintained icons go min after 13 so they all will fit into the window. When they do go min they are as big to show two rows of icons to get all 30 into that one little area. I realize that once they do go min that it leaves room on the 1st row for a phew more, but it’s a trade if in a way, either only 13 icons or 30 small ones.

For change the lay out of any back change the window settings form show none, frame only or frame and title bar.

Two use the two hotbar under the target configuration you will have to do a little work, Just unlock the start button window, resize it to full height ( you may have to turn on frames and title bar to do this). Then right click on any hotbar and click on create a new bar or what ever its call. Once it is created you can drag it into position. I don’t recall changing the low resolution uisetting to not do this as I never play at this low of a resolution so I don’t know why it has been change. I’ll check into.

At your last update at the vitality-info is a small mistake.
The percent-info has no dot... (At the moment I have 534% vitality :D )

Hey love the UI. Best Ive played with in everygame, BUT for some reason after LU17 i now crash with this UI. It also seems to be mostly DoF zones but like clock work every 25 to 30 mins I would crash. At first i thought it was my video card heating up,since its slightly older. Also thought of a few other things it could be. After talking to many people, reloading this UI 3times, drivers for well everything I decided to start from square 1. I bought a new Vcard and reloaded windowsXP and SP2 with all updates for everything and even reloaded eq2 which the update only took 5 hours lol. I played the game with default ui and all was well (except for getting used to crappy UI). So I then decided time to reload eXui. All was good in my house, around town and a few zones. Did some solo writs in Lava, everfrost and then packed my bags for Sinking sands. 3 mins into Sinking Sands--- BAM ZAM DANG WAMM..back to desktop.


Any Ideas. I have to run 1280x 1024. because monitor cant go any higher. thats really the only other pieace of info i can give.
